Only suburban white families need apply. If your anything less, even if you would put your dog on the golden pedestal, you're met with rudeness and belittled. My application was not even considered even with years of greyhound experience and plenty of time and money to care for one I was coldly turned away and told to consider another breed because I currently live in an apartment. Take your time and donation elsewhere because they have it figured out already.

This rescue is shady. Firstly, UCD design students were brought on to help redesign their logo and website. After they started working for this rescue, the owner told them they were closing down and then ghosted the designers. They did not shut down, they did however steal the redesign UCD student made for them, without bothering to credit the designer. Secondly, I'm in the veterinary field and have worked with other dog rescues.
I've heard a lot of people complain about this particular rescue taking dogs back from adopters with very little notice or reason. It's not just one or two bad reviews on Google. Doesn't sit well with me since I've worked with dog rescues in the past. If you're adopting from Colorado Greyhound Adoption, be wary. It's so unfortunate since greyhounds are such incredible dogs, but this rescue has no respect for its adopters or the people looking to help them. Which makes me wonder how much respect they have for their dogs.

Our adoption process went very smoothly and everyone I corresponded with was extremely helpful and friendly. I am very grateful to everyone involved including the unseen donors.especially after I saw the vet bill to get our pup adoption ready. There must be some really big hearted people behind this terrific organization.

CGA is an amazing group of people, especially my adoption coordinator Giovanna. I adopted my 8 year old girl Lucy, and her foster family was extremely helpful in catching me up to speed with some of Lucy's special needs (pannus and recurring corns). Lucy is the most amazing companion, I can't remember what I did without her! Thank you CGA!

I am a foster "mom" with Colorado Greyhound Adoption and cannot say enough good things about this organization. Every single person involved truly cares about the well being of these doggos. Greyhounds are one of the most special breeds in all the lands and if you get to bring one into your family you will be over the moon! Please consider supporting CGA and it's dogs by donating, fostering, volunteering, or adopting!

I've very displeased with this agency. Every time I've had a correspondence I've been greeted with entitlement and rudeness. The pictures posted are from the most recent correspondence where I was contacted about taking in a grey far past the murky "6+ month waitlist" where my circumstances had changed, or as Elaine likes to say, "I wish I had a crystal ball" so I could have known when they would have contacted me.
All I requested was that I be put on the waitlist (the chances of a dog coming along that fit my family of plenty of prey are slim so my wait is much longer) and if, by some miracle, a grey came along that actually fit but I was still in my circumstance that they pass me over for the next family. I'm "sorry" that I was ready 6+ months ago (and let you know by inputting an application) and now I'm not but I have a feeling I'm not the only one who's life changes in the span of 6+ months.
By being displeased at this communication she began accusing me of not being understanding of the situation and thus I'm not an adopter they need? If this is an experience you want to avoid, you should probably find a different agency to work with.
