Fur Crazy

Josie just turned 12 and Dawn at Fur Crazy has groomed her since she was a baby. We moved to Boynton 1 1/2 years ago but still travel to Boca to the best pet salon around. Thank you so much Dawn for making our beautiful fur baby even more beautiful on grooming day. This picture taken right after grooming today.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! Not only does this place mistreat the dogs, but they also maintain an unclean environment. They do not take the dogs on time either - my puppy was locked in one of the cages for almost 3 hours without food/water till I walked in to pick him up and realized they had not touched him at all since I dropped him.

Went to this place for a year and brought both of my dogs. Tipped 20% every time. Called 3 times over a 3 week period and no call back. Left 3 messages. I read other reviews that said a groomer left and other people didn't get call backs. How unprofessional to just ignore a loyal customer.

Shady business practices. A groomer left & it was never communicated. Also the owner is stealing tips from the employees.

Not sure what happened to this place but I wont be back. They never cut and smooth my dogs nails they are so sharp and last time I went they split his nails. This happens when the blade is dull. Amateur move! I always tip equal to the service, been there many times and they are so frazzled and seem very rushed. My dog likes the atmosphere but I can't handle the rushed way they handle my baby from start to finish.

First time at Fur Crazy, figured I would try them with a bath and a brush for my toy poodle, was very impressed, I requested that they try and finish in an hour, they finished in half an hour, the staff is very friendly I'll be back in two weeks for a full grooming for my Coco.

Second time we take our dog in, my wife explained to cut all even and all the hair head, except the beard. When I picked her up the hair on her head was not cut, not just not cut but horribly chopped off/uneven. Noticed Lots of chopped cuts all over the body. I used to take her to a Fort Lauderdale grooming and they always did an amazing job. I guess next time I'll drive the 30 minutes.

This is a family business! They always do a great job with bathing my dog! The dental cleaning van is great too!

I took my toy dogs Pomeranian and Chihuahua for the first time to get groomed here and they came out happy, clean, and with nice style. My Pomeranian was very nervous at first but then she started to relax with the nice warm environment that the groomers created.

My kitties love their lion cuts. They have been getting their hair cut there for years!

While the staff was very nice, they have an issue with communication. I have a Labrador retriever and I asked for a bath & haircut. HairCUT. When I picked up my dog, he was completely shaved. They did not communicate or ask our permission if this was okay. Not only was he shaved, but if this was something I did want, they did not do a decent job. It was not blended, he looked more like a tiger with these stripes.

We also noticed later that evening, one of his nipples was cut and bleeding. This also was not communicated to us. They did provide us with a full refund, which was nice. I am only writing this review because I think people should know to OVER communicate with them of exactly what you want, or you might come home with a naked, bleeding nipple dog :

Went as a walk in for nail trims for our pups. Dawn was super sweet and worked quickly to get us in and out, nails look great! And the pups were not upset. Overall very happy with our visit! Will be back! Thank you!

We took Samson here for his grooming appointment. We are so glad we did. Dawn, the owner, was very compatible on the phone and she greeted us at the door. She placated and understood our fears from a previous grooming experience that went bad. Elizabeth did the grooming and performed an outstanding job. We have a new groomer Go there. You will not be disappointed.

Very compassionate, gentle, and caring groomers. They do a wonderful job shampooing and getting the undercoat OUT! I used to bring my two Corgis there before they passed and now I bring my husky.

They are the people you want to take care of your fur babies and give them great haircuts. My MiKi looks like a powder puff and my Maltaztu looks adorable

Loved the price for two! My huskies seemed to have a great time here. I'll be coming back.

This is a wonderful salon for your little love bug. Dawn, the owner, is very nice and she and all of her staff, Daniel, Elizabeth, and the rest are great listeners and make your pets look AMAZING! They groom them perfectly, and if there is something that you've forgotten to tell them, they take your pet back and do it for you. I forgot to tell them about my little Freyja's dewclaws.

She has one on each paw front and rear, which is not too common, I believe. They brought out the nail clippers and handled it immediately, with love. Besides their care, they will evaluate your little ones and place them in comfortable crates or will let them roam around the salon to play with other dogs for socialization. I love Fur Crazy. It's, in my opinion, the finest shop I've ever brought my dog into.

I can't say enough about these lovely people. First of all, Dawn and Daniel are incredibly sweet, compassionate and kind. They know my circumstances and have been so helpful and accommodating. I recommend them to everyone I know who has a dog. I've been taking my furry girl here for several years now and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. So glad my friend recommended this wonderful place.

They never answer their phone. I specifically asked for a certain grooming and they shaved my do for no reason. They offer for me to bring him back in! He doesn't have any hair left what were they going to do! They could have at least given me a free groom once the hair got longer.

They were recommended by a friend of mine from the dog park. I know a few people now that bring their dogs here and everyone is very pleased with the work they do. Most importantly Dawn and Daniel are the nicest people and my lovely Kyah always looks good and though I think she is a bit skittish no matter where I take her, has never been traumatized here.

I am particularly happy with my furbaby's new stylist but I won't give out her name because then I may not get an appt. with her again. I love that they allow some of the dogs to run around after they're groomed and when you come in there are so many adorable faces to greet you at the salon door. It just gives me a good feeling.

We have recently moved to Boca Raton and I stopped in to check out this facility. What impressed me most was that all the dogs being groomed or waiting to be picked up were calm and relaxed. Even if some were nippy they took precautions with a cone and took their time. Franco groomed our Yorkie, Max, as I had asked with his own shampoo products etc because of his allergies. Franco was able to work on the fixing Max's bad groom done at another place in Boca. I was very happy that they could accommodate Max being groomed while I wait as I have done since he was a puppy.

Fur Crazy is the best! We moved up to Jupiter and still drive down to bring our dog here. They are very nice and do an amazing job!

Bad experience. I didn't like them and they did a lousy job. So many better groomers in and around Boca. Our dog seemed traumatized after our last visit. Not surprised, they gave me a hard time as well. The owner seemed disinterested. Avoid.

I convinced my wife to bring in our Bedlington Terrier for his first grooming session. Although some of the reviews were negative, there were enough positive to counter what was written. I should have been more respectful of what was negatively written. When my wife arrived, the owner was surprised when she showed up for her appointment. She told my wife that she had called her to cancel, since one of her groomers, Margo, had been fired.

My wife checked her phone; there were No calls made. My wife had a bit of concern too, since my wife had interviewed this groomer business before bringing our dog in and she was confident that Margo, who had worked/new the owner for the past 20 years appeared competent. The owner said she would personally take care of grooming our dog. My wife offered her a picture book showing what his hairstyle should look like, but she declined, inferring she would have No problem. Again, I should have insisted we cancel too.

Our dog was returned to us clean from his bath, but did not look like our Bedlington or any Bedlington for that matter. If the owner had a more humble personality, she would have accepted the book for guidance and this review would have been more a more favorable review. I would suggest to anyone who owns a pet, especially a non standard pet, that they would be better served at another groomer. You Should Avoid This Groomer, Period.

They did a good job at first but then refused to keep grooming my dog due to some of her age-related medical problems. It was really weird. My dog is old.but she is just fine! I got a fantastic mobile groomer thereafter and of course, there are NO problems with her getting groomed. Fur Crazy just gave up on her for no god reason.

I've been turned away from petsmart because they told me my dog was too aggressive. I decided to try this shop and I absolutely loved it. The staff is very friendly and knew exactly how to work with my anxious dog. She only needed her nails cut it took literally 2 minutes and she was so well behaved with their knowledgeable staff. Plus a better price than petsmart. Would highly recommend.

Dawn has done a great job grooming my boys! She was sensitive to my rescue dog and treated him wonderful. My teddy bear, Bandit, always looks awesome!

My Jack gets a perfect haircut every time at least once every nine weeks their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the groomer knows more than my own vet The location is satisfactory however the prices are kind of high but adequate for the location
