What a nice staff. This north location rocks. It's fresh and services are on point.

I never usually leave reviews, but Mud Puppies is now my favorite groomer in the Austin area! I've been to a few other groomers in the area, but they haven't been as great as this place. I have a Great Pyrenees that has a lot of hair and takes a long time to groom, but they finished so quickly and my dog never looked better! The groomer was very experienced with the breed and took such great care of my dog. My dog has never smelled SO good! I don't know what products they use, but after 3 weeks, my dog still smells like she got groomed yesterday - it's magic!

Wow this place is truly awful. I took my 4 month old Shipoo in for her first groom today. The Groomer could not explain what length he would cut or even if he would be cutting her. After 10 minutes of lots of confusion back and forth he took my puppy and started aggressively brushing her until she was yelping in pain. After deciding this is not the place for us, I was told I would be charged a $25 dollar fee?! I'd heard bad reviews but took a chance because it's close to where I live. But I HIGHLY recommend avoiding.

The only place that can get our giant mutt not to stink, wonderful people and great service.

Really friendly staff, when I walk into any pet service facility I rate it on Friendliness, if your nice to my little buddy your cool in my books, and this place was that! Super close to home and super friendly

Tried twice to make an appointment by leaving a message. Never got a call back. Mud Puppies North must have so much business they don't need to do even that. I have 3 calm dogs that would have been easy money and a new customer to boot. Maybe they would like to hire me as a consultant. I've been a business owner in Austin for 23 years. I might have something to share with them about this stuff. Very disappointing.

I have been coming to Mud Puppies since I got my dog Fifi back in 2018 and have yet to have any negative experiences with them! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and I know they take good care of her. Their work is also excellent, I've never had any issues with they way they have groomed her. The pricing is also reasonable, great place overall!

I love Mud Puppies. They're so great with my dog (and so knowledgeable about dogs, in general). She loves her visits here.

We have been taking our dogs to Mud Puppies for several years and were so excited that they opened a location closer to where we lived. The location is conveniently located off on Mopac and easy to find. The facility is so nice and very spacious. Our dogs absolutely love when they get to go to Mud Puppies and the staff loves to see them. We cannot recommend Mud Puppies enough!

Last visit my dog came back with kennel cough. I called to let them know after the stay so they could inform other owners and they said they were already aware it was going around their kennel for a bit. excuse me? Today they cancelled my dogs boarding for the next week WITH LESS THAN 20 HOURS NOTICE. The last thing they told me on the phone was good luck finding someone that will play with your dog during the stay like we will. now I'm looking at having to cancel my long planned vacation. Don't take your animals here, it's a circus and they seem to not have any empathy for owners or pets.

Took my two dogs to Mud Puppies and asked for Cocker Spaniel cut. Omg! The guy who's name was Wu( I think didn't know what he was doing. Didn't shave my dogs underbelly ( knots) and feet. I asked for my money back and the owner called me and said No! First time there and it's such a nasty place, unclean etc. I do not recommend the grooming place!

They said I never brought a dog leash for my dog, they lost it. The guy quoted the cost, and I told him that the receptionist gave me a price, he called me a liar! Dear God what has happened to customer service?

Love the atmosphere there's super friendly people who take their times with your dog and the grooming is impeccable

We've taken both of our shihtzus to Mudpuppies for many years now for grooming. They've always done a fantastic job! Our older one has passed, and our youngest, Buddy, is still a bit of a difficult groom. However they are always patient and thorough with him. Would highly recommend!

Love this place! They really take great care of your dog especially on the first visit to make sure they have a good experience!

We love mud puppies and so does our pup! We take him there for boarding, grooming and the occasional play care. He always sprints inside and is super happy when we get there. We trust them to take great care of our pup while we're away!

The grooming appointment I made for my 2 mini Aussies was scheduled out 1 month but I thought it would be worth the wait, based on the reviews here. I just received a message saying that, because they didn't receive my dogs' vaccination records (oh, and by the way, the groomer has an emergency, as well, and can't be there) my appointment is cancelled!

When I made the appointment, I was led to believe that Mud Puppies would be calling for the records. Today I learn that, "oh yes but Bluebonnet (Animal Hospital) is weird about releasing shot records." You couldn't have told me that 2 days ago so I could have requested the records myself? Instead you cancel because you don't have the shot records within 24 hours of the appointment when YOU were supposed to get the records. RIDICULOUS! Adding insult to injury, when I said I would not be rebooking (again.another month away), the response? "No problem." Well, it actually IS a problem for me. Apparently, not a "problem" for Mud Puppies!

They are like extended family to us. Such comfort in knowing how well they take care of our pup.

I've been coming to Mud Puppies for almost 2 years now for grooming, boarding, and occasional playcare. I did plenty of research and tried out a few places before deciding to stick with Mud Puppies and I highly recommend them. They are locally owned business, very reasonably priced in comparison to other options, genuinely know my dog, and have been very flexible on the occasions where I have needed to book last minute or change plans.

Great first trip to Mud Puppies. Scheduling was seamless and staff were both friendly and helpful. My dog seemed calm and happy after her groom compared to the usual stress she experiences at larger chains. Definitely plan to take her back!

Took my pup to get his nails ground down. My dog is not a fan of having this done. They refused to complete the service. They do not know how to handle dogs that have difficult times at the groomers. GO ELSEWHERE. Clean Critters Too is AMAZING! Go to CLEAN CRITTERS. They know how to handle pups of all demeanors and treat them well. and how to complete the service you ask for keeping all parties safe and happy.

An Austin hidden gem. Mud puppies isn't something you'd find driving around. If it wasn't for Yelp and Google I wouldn't have known about it. I spent about $65 for a schnauzer cut, which is the typical price. My doggie was in need of a haircut bad. I showed up to my appointment on time and they greeted me with smiles even when my pup was anxious. His haircut was on point and spoiler alert! They even included a free bandana!

This place is AMAZING! Family. I work very long hours and entrust them with my precious Lola everyday. They are loving, attentive and caring. They really love their clients and go above and beyond. I am livid. We took our English Cream Golden to get groomed here. My husband spoke to the groomer and confided in her opinion. My husband left telling the groomer to "Make sure he still looks like a golden." When we got him back, he looked completely different. He doesn't even look like a golden anymore. I am not even that upset with the fact that he doesn't have that appearance but in speaking to our vet, because his protective coat is now gone, he now is more prone to sunburn and lost all his insulation.

In doing research, my dog's coat will also never grow back the same if it ever even does. The groomers here are not knowledgeable. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! My husband came to them and sought out advice from someone who is supposed to know the ins and out of dog grooming and in the end, clearly they do not.

This is the only place that I trust with my pug. Pugs really hate their nails being trimmed and every place we've gone to has been a nightmare until now. They always have a lot of availability with appointments and have a gracious two hour window to pick up your pup after they call. My dog has made so much progress and is slowly getting use to taking a trip to the groomers. Also they are one of the few places that includes a gland expression with a regular wash.

Went through orientation day and had my dog groomed for the first time here. I loved how they treated my dog and asked me detailed questions about how I wanted my dog groomed. The place was very cute and welcoming as well. The only reason I took a star off was because I'm a new dog mom and I've never used any of these services before. I explained that to the guy in front but instead of explaining and describing everything to me, I still had to pull answers out of him through multiple questions.

These guys are great. Their facility is large and smells clean. I like that they have individual rooms, so you don't have to worry about other dogs (or your dog getting away from you). From a cost perspective, they are definitely cheaper than several other options in town. I think their staff is friendly and helpful. **My dog wholeheartedly disagrees with this review, but he doesn't know what's best for him;) **

California Sunshine Chanel Champagne had an awesome experience here! Pawdicures are a thing w Cali.she no like! The ladies were perfect w Cali and said she did great. They explained what and how and I appreciated that a lot! Life changing to have this in my neighborhood where we can go regularly and keep my princess manicured and clean! It really is a BIG deal so thank you! We also used the kitchen sink for a bath! Yay!
