The staff are super knowledgeable and LOVE dogs. Bring your pup in and they will give them treats, love on them, and help you with whatever you need. I come here twice a week for the treat display, they have a HUGE selection of organs, bones, parts etc. All sourced responsibly, and my boy loves them!

Love, love, love this local business at the heart of downtown? Admittedly, I refer to it usually as Meow Woof because of the awning instead of just Unleashed but we are frequent patrons. An absolutely wonderful selection of all things cat and dog (more dog but the cat section is great too!) Raw food, frozen meats in addition to the great assortment of kibble and wet foods.

Since we recently found out my cat is gluten free, this is definitely our go-to spot for treats and nibbles which they have great range of grain free stuff so our Mischa is always happy trying out her new favorite GF treats and new foods. Also, a great selection of dress ups so our boy cat Melvin has all the snazziest bow ties in the world. The staff is always so friendly and they have free treat samples at the counter. Definitely a little local treasure to be supported. We give it all paws up!

I love this store so much! I come in everyday and the girls there are so sweet. Their dogs are sweeties as well! Definitely a neighborhood store that always makes us feel welcome!

Two young ladies in the shop were not helpful and beyond rude. Not to mention they both had their dogs in the store and not helping any of the customers there. The one lady had a very unfriendly Doberman behind the counter making it hard for my dad to place his treats on the counter without being afraid and the dog trying to take them since he kept jumping up.

The other girl had a doodble on a leash just standing in the back of the room. The cashier gave my mom treats and said she could feed the dogs then got mad when she tried to feed the dobe. As much as I love to support the local business I will not be coming back. If you are going to bring your pets to work make sure they are friendly and you are still able to take care of the customers.

Great place. Friendly staff who always have dog treats at the ready. We take our dog here monthly for the self-wash station and they have a great selection of soaps and supplies for the wash. And we generally always leave with a new treat or toy as well.

Always friendly service and wonderful folks that take care of you as soon as you walk through the door. The selection of foods, toys and everything else in between is pretty amazing. For a franchise, it feels like a small town neighborhood pet store. Swing in and check out the products, and maybe you'll see a rescue or two outside waiting with your next furever companion!

We just moved to Wilmington and were worried we'd have to rely on ordering our French Bulldogs specialty food online. We had heard that Unleashed carried Stell & Chewy and decided to pop in to see what the selection was like. Low and behold they carried the *exact* food we give our pup (Stella & Chewy Raw Blend Kibble Free Range (with Elk, Goat & Lamb) Recipe Dry Dog Food for reference) for a great price.

They also had a whole bunch of toys, treats, & other fun doggo stuff. They also carried a lot of other hard-to-find brands like Ziwi Peak and an assortment of raw frozen foods. If you have a dog with food allergies in the Wilmington area, this is the place to find food in person when you can't order online from a specialty dog store!

If you care about providing good stuff for you dog. Then you need to get to know these people! The staff here is very knowledgeable and can explain about their excellent products. Their focus is high quality, heathy foods, and other pets items. But definitely the best of the best.

There is truly no better pet store in the area. The team at Unleashed prioritizes the health and happiness of our dog above everything else. They even greet him by name when we come in! We come here for all of our needs and also to cheer up our dog, Beans.

Star hated her bath but loves the store! I love the self service bath available. Come cooler weather we really have nowhere we can bath her comfortably and this was a great option for us! They are very kind and helpful! She even got to interact with another talking doggo which made her day! So many yummy snack options for her and very fun staff!

All COVID rules are being followed, great little shop to check out, we brought in Hazel our mini schnauzer and she sniffed everything until she focused in on a squeaker toy, so we bought it for her, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, recommend this spot

Nice pet store for dogs and cats in downtown Wilmington. Good selection of pet food, toys, leashes and other supplies. The items here are not what you are going to find at a Wal-Mart or discount store. I am referring to the quality of the products. They are carrying higher end items including dog and cat food. So if you want Ol Roy or Alpo cheap ass dog food then don't stop here.

You can sign up for their program where you get a free bag after so many purchases. We are not there enough to take advantage of this. Friendly and helpful staff. Apply Pay accepted which is a plus. It's downtown so just remember you are on your own for parking, which isn't terrible in Wilmington.

Very very very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. I was amazed at the wealth of information the young girl behind the counter had regarding dog food, ingredients. What to watch for. She recommended a couple games for my pooch to play. Nicely done. I recommend a visit.

Absolutely amazing, from the treats and pet decor to toys and training aids. The staff is super nice and honest. You can bring your dog in as well. Not affiliated with any major pet store, everything from consumables to clothing is ethically made. Also on Facebook and Instagram.

Love this place! We enjoyed a stop here on a long weekend trip to Wilmington. The downtown location is awesome. The employees are so kind and helpful and the selection for dogs and cats is wonderful. They have a plethora of healthy options and unique finds. We bought our baby lots of goodies--things we can't find at places like Petsmart. We will definitely be back on our visit next month.

Short version: Unleashed is a nice locally owned/operated pet supply store. Friendly and positive staff and carefully selected items for placement in their stores (7 so far their website says including Raleigh, Cary, and Wilmington). I am a fan of their newest location near riverfront Wilmington, definitely give Unleashed a try. The Deets: When in Wilmington recently with our lil pup Emma, we came upon the newly opened location of Unleashed down near the riverfront (corner of Front and Market Streets).

Within was a nice layout of pet accessories, chews, toys, food items, supplies, and just about anything else for your dog or cat to use or enjoy. The staff was extremely positive and helpful, and cared to talk to us about our lil pup as well as spend a little time giving her some attention (it was her first birthday!). Emma had a great time perusing the aisles and seeing what they had.

Although not as expansive as say a PetSmart location, these guys have what appears to be carefully curated items for your dog or cat and a bit of a personal touch to go with it. The mission statement located on their website states "To provide the Best a Dog and Cat can get, at affordable prices, so that every dog and cat can be as happy and healthy as ours." I like this new location of Unleashed and wishing them the best in their new location in Wilmington!

Amy Phinney owner of the unleashed, the dog and cats store never want to solve my dog name is Bud, he is pomeranian got poison by her dog treat, caused my dog sent to the vet, this company owner stated that they were not responsible for this incident. I feel like that Amy didn't care and won't reimbursement or none helps. I am strongly not recommended this company to everyone.

I really hope this pet store makes it Global. It's my all time favorite. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. They genuinely care about your pets needs and offer free samples and taste guarantees. Small business with huge class. Today I went in to ask about a bee sting on my dog's paw. immediately the employee opened up a topical ointment to put on his paw. He also gave me a few treats to help any inflammation from the inside out. Highly recommend for any and all dog/cat needs. Great place to give dogs a bath too.
