The Pet Shack Resort opened its doors the week of Thanksgiving in 1998. It had originally been a kennel, but its facilities and reputation had become run down over the years after the previous owners divorce. In 1998, I had also divorced and was looking for a way to support myself. I had always had multiple pets, including dogs, cats, horses, birds and an assortment of small mammals. For me, this was the perfect solution! I could do what I loved and support myself as well. All calls and text messages to 937-885-7171 go to the kennel phone and my cell.

This job consists of physical labor and can be mentally stressful when we are busy. Do you have any physical issues or mental issues that would prohibit you from doing physical labor? If so, please state below. I understand I am expected to keep track of my own schedule and to be at work as scheduled. I understand if I miss work i may be required to provide a written doctors excuse and that missing work frequestly will result in termination.

They are the best. From our challenging Border Collie pepper yeara ago to our current two rescue dogs. They can deal with all circumstances. Recently my mother passed away. Leslie and team got our dogs right in and gave us piece of mind knowing our dogs were in good hands, as family and friends were in and out of the house all week. Thanks for all your help Leslie and team your the best.

First time boarding my boys was smooth sailing! I am currently stationed at WPAFB and travel a lot. I have two large Pitties who are my best buddies. I just moved to the area in Sept 2019 and had my first trip last month. I asked my co-workers about a place to take care of my guys while I was out of town. Two of the three i asked recommended Pet Shack Resort.
I decided to check it out. I met the owner, Leslie, and she gave me a tour of the place. I was surprised at how clean it was and how big the kennels were. I went ahead and brought my guys to stay for 5 days. I came home to 2 very happy, good smelling pups. We will be coming back!

It's always hard to leave my dog, but I know he's being taken great care of at PSR. Leslie truly loves dogs and always treats him like one of her own and it's such a comfort to know that when I'm away. Also, as someone who travels frequently and for long periods, I sometimes have to adjust his stay length and they always accommodate me in such a great way so I don't have to worry about my dog.

Awesome place to have your dog boarded. My Italian greyhound did not like staying in the wired kennels. So Leslie brought my dog into her own home and let him stay there for the entire stay(4days)! Would any other boarding facility do that, probably not. She even laid with him at night time. He was very well cared for and he had fun playing with he other furry friends in the house. I'd highly recommend having your dog stay there. She also wanted my dog to come back and cuddle up again lol. Thanks again.

Had a great experience boarding our dogs here for the first time! When we picked them up after the weekend we got to chat with the owner, very nice lady! Other girl working even offered to help us load the dogs up into our car, going above and beyond. Dogs said they had a good time too : Will definitely be using them again.

I have taken my dogs and cats to Pet Shack Resort since around 2000. This is my second generation of fur babies to go there and they have all come home happy, heathy and smelling great! My current dog, Diesel, is 10 years old. He starts getting excited when we get close and squeals when he sees Leslie, the owner, from the car. I think he has more fun during his one on one times at Pet Shack than he does at home.
The care provided is so personalized to your pets needs you can be confident they are in great hands. Leslie is so kind and professional it's obvious she really loves the animals. Pet Shack Resort is the only place I trust for my babies vacations.
