In 2005, Leader of the Pack moved into its current facility where group training classes and doggy dayschool were added. In 2008, we expanded our facility and contracted with grooming veteran Brenda Nelson and the Grooming Gallery to offer full grooming services. Leader of the Pack's growth has been a direct result of meeting the needs of our clients and their pets, and continues to be the driving force behind the company.
Our goal is not to be the biggest petcare/training facility, but to provide quality care, grooming and educational services for dogs and their owners in the East Cobb, Marietta area.

Grooming is not just about the 'look', but is essential in keeping your dog healthy, and with over 30+ years of experience, The Grooming Gallery's Brenda Nelson prides herself in caring for East Cobb/Marietta dogs. Clients and their dogs are seen more as friends and family, evident in the generations of dogs from the same owners using Brenda's services over the years.
Our private in-home training programs are designed to target specific problem behaviors. Since these behaviors usually manifest in the home environment, that is where we want to address them. Once you understand what motivates your dog to do those annoying behaviors like jumping, play biting, pulling on the leash, excessive barking and peeing/pooping in the house, you can usually eliminate these behaviors quickly. Our two part initial in-home program is very likely all you need to cure these common problems.
We know many loving dog owners lead very busy lives and must leave their dogs home alone for long periods of time. Socialization.whether it is dog with human, or dog with other dogs and humans, it helps fill the inate social needs of the species. We understand customizing to each individual situation is important.
Doggy Dayschool is a great option for owners who have to leave their dogs for long periods of time, or want to give their dog some socialization, playtime and manners training. Dayschool dogs get to socialize and play with other dayschool participants in a safe, kennel-free environment. It is a great way for your dog to get exercise, one of the keys to having a well mannered pet.

We are so happy we found Leader of the Pack. Our puppy has been going for a few months. They've taught him great manners. I have been so impressed by their quiet control of the dogs - so much so we asked Karen to come to our house for a training sessions. I could not believe how easily and quietly they moved the dogs around during our temperament test.
Giant dogs and little dogs alike. Price is reasonable for day care (or doggy school as they call it). My puppy is now just over six months and is becoming very well socialized.

I called 2 weeks ago asked if they had a groomer experienced with Airedales and was assured they did. I asked the cost and was told $75. I dropped off and when I retrieved my dog and she said $110. WTH He looked like he had been butchered. His hair was not tapered and he had just been shaved to his skin. No fluffy legs no tapered face. Please do NOT take an Airedale to these people, they DO NOT KNOW what they are doing.
If I could post the pictures I would. And he drank an entire bowl of water which tells me he was denied water for 6-7 hours. It is time for the owner/groomer to retire. This is just aweful!

This review isn't for training, but is for the grooming services they offer. Brenda and Keisha perform in the same building. I've been bringing our Scottish Terrier here for about 5 years and have been completely satisfied every time. Their work is meticulous and caring. My Scottie was an abused rescue, skiddish about going places and into places until she's comfortable with the people there. she loves going here (hates going to Sprayberry Animal Hospital). Don't know why I waited 5 years to rate them. Heads up! THIS IS A GREAT PLACE FOR GROOMING YOUR DOG!

My adopted 8-yr.-old dog was in desperate need of training. I tried so many things without success. At my wits end, I called the adoption group for a recommendation, and, by the way, "I'll have to send him back if this fails". They recommended Leader of the Pack which sent a trainer. Howard has done miracles with Max in no time flat, too. He taught me to be pack leader and Max acknowledges that now.
In truth, I have not seen the facility so I cannot comment on it. But Howard is worth every penny, and in my opinion he is reasonably priced. I am so glad I still have my dog and have peace in the home.
