Goldwood Kennels

We travel a couple times a year. We have kennels here for over ten years and never a problem. They take excellent care of our fur babbies.

My Golden needed a nail trimming, I called, and I got him in the same afternoon. Good price, too!

Goldwood Kennels is the only facility where I will board my pets. I am a nervous pet owner and everyone at Goldwood is responsive and very reassuring. My pets love the play areas. My cat especially appreciates the solo time in the cat room where she can hide, rest, climb, scratch, and stare out the window without worrying about other animals. My dog loves the outdoor play and spacious indoor kennel area, as well as the loving attention she receives. I highly recommend Goldwood to every pet owner who cares about their pet's comfort and safety when you have to be away from them.

Such and amazing place! They do an awesome job with grooming and offer such nice boarding for dogs, cats, and other small animals. They offer such nice services and and are very welcoming. They take very good care of each pet no matter what.

They do a good job with the dogs, no complaints in that dept. However I think they are a bit high priced.

We have used Goldwood Kennels since the mid 1990s. We have never been disappointed. They have taken wonderful care of our dogs. Highly recommended.

They always do a great job when we bring our golden retriever Duncan in for grooming. He also loves it there when we go out of town and need to board him. Highly recommend!

I have been a client of Goldwood for over 30 years. I have personal experience that had made me decide to never even check any other place out. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Not having to worry about your pet/family member while you are away is a great thing.

We bring our dog to Goldwood for grooming and they do an amazing job. Her cut is always perfect and she smells so good, she always has a cute bow on when I pick her up. We also have used Goldwood to kennel her when we are out of town and they always take very good care of her and keep her safe, I highly recommend Goldwood kennels for all of your pet care needs

Our dog had a wonderful stay! The staff is great - very caring. They really made him feel welcome - and he can be a handful. Koda received plenty of exercise and found a new toy that he loves. Thanks!

We recently dropped our dog off for a long weekend. He always comes home tired from having so much fun and running around. They treat him great and I love their service. When we picked him up they had a cute bow on his collar, love the extra touches.

We love Goldwood Kennels! Unlike other kennels, our dog Moose has thrived at Goldwood. I think she would stay forever if we let her. She gets plenty of exercise, love, and attention and we know we can trust Goldwood with her care. Cannot recommend enough. The grooming is also exceptional and they take special care during Moose's allergy season.

We have boarded dogs here for years and have been very happy with the care they shown to all of them. They have gone out of their way to address whatever issues each dog needed to be dealt with. Our dogs have been rescues so some of them needed a bit extra TLC and the staff has done all they can to assure a good experience. My pups have been excited as soon as we turn in the driveway. Highly recommend them.

Pretty unfortunate experience. I drove over 30 minutes just to talk to a manager/owner to see if they were hiring and I was told by some rude woman named Karen who just stated that they are closed. She didn't greet me. She didn't ask if she could help me. Just said "we are closed." I stated that I was just seeing if they were hiring and she said "the building is closed". Rude much?

I have exceptional experience as I've worked at a boarding facility for 6+ years and would've loved to have checked the place out but she was extremely rude and had no people skills what-so-ever. Huge turn off. I wouldn't board my dog here nor will I recommend this place due to my experience today. I'm very disappointed. If this is how they treat people/clients then I can't imagine how they treat the poor dogs that are in their care. Also, reading other reviews it doesn't look like they are really that great of a kennel anyways and I will not subject to miss treatment of animals or people in anyway.

We traveled from California & stopped for about 6 days in White Bear Lake. Our favorite family member, Max the Wonder Dog needed spa time as my sister-in-law is allegic to dogs. One of the reasons we were challenged is that we were casually driving & had no exact date for our arrival time. I called 2 days before our anticipated arrival & spoke with the kindest young man.

He made some recommendations & scheduled Max. We were thrilled with his reception. Because we travel with Max's vaccination records he was admitted in no time. We were given a tour & explanation of his care. When we came to pick him up a staff member casually mentioned how Max hung out with her & he had her holding him like he is held @ home.what a dog! Thanks Shelly & staff for such great care of a spoiled furbaby. Job well done! If only you had such a kennel in California. A grateful fur baby mom, Pam
