Happy Mailman Dog Daycare

Our dogs would literally sell our organs on the black market to go to Happy Mailman. Lily ( our older dog) does a literal happy dance at the front door when we put her harness on to get in the car and Banjo (our puppy) does happy whines as soon as he sees where we're pulling in. The folks knew our pups by name by the second visit and the dogs always come back to us worn out and happy.

It hurts my heart to write this review but I felt compelled based on a recent situation. My 100lb Chocolate Lab has been going here for almost 4 years. We've never. not once. had any behavior issues at this place. I got a call today saying Jake was the instigator of a very severe unprovoked attack on another dog. Jake is almost 8 years old and we've never had any concerns about aggression.

I don't want to downplay what happened but I think "blacklisting" him after a perfectly clean track record for YEARS is very harsh. As a regular customer of this facility, the gentlemen that called was so rude to me about it, like we've had ZERO relationship before. I guess my hope would be that we could give him another shot (another day) with timed playtime with smaller groups, etc. The drastic "blacklist" seems so harsh to me. Regardless, we will find another place but I guess what I am most upset about is the relationship piece with the staff.

Our dogs love going here. They are plenty worn out by the time we pick them up and seem happy. The staff is great. We had an issue while we were out of state where one of our dogs was sick. They ended up taking him to their vet and adding the bill to our cost. It turned out to just be stress related (he is special that way) Others wouldn't have done that it was a huge relief to not have to inconvenience our friends or family. We went home a day earlier, and all was better in a few days.

The staff are super friendly and responsive. They are also very accommodating. I like that there is plenty of outdoor space for the dogs to roam. My dog never wants to come back home with me when I pick her up from daycare, so that says something!

My dog Joanie loves coming here! She always gets super excited when she realizes we're headed here - it's like a vacation for her. All of the dogs are well taken care of, and the staff is incredibly friendly. My only complaint is that it can be hard to get in/out of this location, as it's located on a highway and there isn't a light. That being said, I highly recommend this place!

My pup has severe separation anxiety and has "failed" the evaluation day at a number of daycares because of it, but the wonderful ladies and gents at Happy Mailman have been so kind and patient with him! He gets excited as we turn into the driveway every morning and has grown super comfortable with the staff within just a couple months (which is rare for him). It's also extremely well priced, and the outdoor play area is super spacious.

My dog is is a rescue and a little nutty, but he LOVES this place. Do to some personal reasons, he hadn't been in a year. I was a little worried he would be nervous starting back up, but no! The second we pulled up, he got super excited and lead the way right in, and barely said goodbye. He was just as happy at the end of the day! I'm so glad he's going again. In a few days, our newest rescue will get to go too. I'm so happy to have such a fantastic place to take my pups! They are true dog lovers, and it's evident immediately!

My dogs were there for maybe 7 minutes for an evaluation before they called and said the youngest was showing signs of aggression. I warned them beforehand that she is protective of the littlest dog, was a puppy and doesn't like car rides so she was probably a little stressed out. I take my dogs to dog parks regularly and have never had an issue unless I just throw them into the yard and don't take time to make sure they're settled.

I feel like there was 0 patience which is kind of a key factor when working with animals. Definitely would not recommend. All the dogs were fine on leash as more dogs arrived while we were in the waiting room.

We've boarded our two dogs here a couple times and we have been super pleased with the care each time. We have a Pug and Boston Terrier so heat is a worry if ours but the Happy Mailman crew put our minds at ease and allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our boys were in good hands. We love the property and see the same people there every time we drop them off, it's much easier trusting a business to take care of our dogs if it is apparent they take care of their employees.

Be sure to request a bath when you drop off your dog(s), they will most likely get dirty while having an absolute blast, and be prepared to have some sleepy pups for a few days as they recover.

These guys are the best. Our dog Joules goes every single weekday, and she absolutely loves it. Whenever I drop her off and pick her up, it is nothing but smiles and wagging tails. It is clear these people love the animals and take great pride in their facility. We have also boarded her there and had absolutely no issues. This place is the best.
