Carolyn Weinbaum has been a professional animal trainer since 1984 when she began her career at the Miami Seaquarium training and presenting shows with Orcas, Pacific white-sided dolphins, California sea lions and Pacific harbor seals. In 1989 Carolyn was asked to develop a training program with the New Orleans' Audubon Zoo's five California sea lions.
At The Developing Canine, we specialize in off leash reliability, meaning you can be sure your dog will listen to you around your home and beyond the garden gate. The Foundation Program, is your first step to off leash reliability. You will learn to manage your dog's behavior while he is on leash and prepare him fully for one of our OFF Leash Reliable Programs.
I just wanted to let you know that I have gotten several compliments lately on how well Bailey is behaved! JJ just finished Ranger school and I had Bailey with me waiting to pick him up last week. We were waiting with about 30 other people for the guys to be done at 4, but they ended up not being let out until almost 5.

Carolyn has been just wonderful with me and my pup, Aubrey. She helped me understand how to communicate better and understand Aubrey's language. Before, working with Carolyn at Developing Canine, walking with Aubrey, who is a big dog, was a challenge. After training we are taking longer walks, they are relaxing for both of us, and we both are getting really comfortable with her being off leash. I cannot put into words how much Carolyn and her program have changed our lives. From her foundations classes to her in-resident programs and her polishing classes, she is easily one of the best dog trainers I have ever dealt with. You truly get what you pay for with Carolyn. If you recently bought or adopted a dog, you absolutely need to start working with her to train them.
We started with ours at 9 weeks, and could not have been more impressed with the results. The program is more about training you how to work with your dog. It also takes a significant amount of time and investment on your part, after the training is done. Carolyn also offers boarding. She will continue to work with your pet, and has offered us lessons when we pick our dog up.
