Shout to Doctor Steiner and the amazing crew at this facility! My dog has a heart condition and one day on our morning walk, she collapsed. I saw all the reviews on Yelp and called to tel them what happened. Initially they were booked all day and the the nearest hospital was too far that I knew she wouldn't make it. I walked in and immediately they took her in. Words can't express how thankful I am for that.

Since then, we've been coming in weekly until we can get her dosage of medication down. I even love how Dr Steiner calls to follow up. They truly do care about our little fur babies. Look no further. This is your place and I will be continuing to go here. Last, this is the only place Cocoa isn't scared of this facility, nor does she shake. That alone says enough.

They treat your dogs so well and when it comes to pricing, they are extremely fair. My girlfriend and I always leave so happy from the work they have done and the customer service they provide. We are lifers with this vet!

This is a gem of a find. I just moved here and found Newport Mesa. I had to take my cat Oliver in for some lumps. Then, he declined rapidly and I took him in to Dr. Steiner. She communicated with me ALL day about him. I never had unanswered questions or felt confused. Unfortunately, I did have to put him down and the only thing that made this impossible task was the kindness and compassion from the ENTIRE staff. I really got lucky finding this place and I'm so grateful to them for their caring. Thank you.

I entrust my 17 year old Pom. to Dr. Keting shes amazing and her care and follow up is next level. My rescues were also fixed here, the same day were running around. The receptionist here are always on it, fast friendly service. Prices are affordable and they truly care about your furbabies. We appreciate you!

I moved and was looking for a new vet in the area because my baby is notoriously expensive. From the front office to back office the staff is compassionate, understanding, and so gentile with Win. I love that when I walk through the door they say "hey Winnie!" Nothing puts me more at ease than knowing the staff will take care of her as if she is their own family.

My dog literally runs into the office with staff without looking back. Since moving and our first visit in March, we have been back multiple times. The app makes scheduling easy and I love how they take the initiative in requesting records and communicating with VCA (emergency vet).

Dr. Steiner and her staff are amazing! Excellent Veterinarian and I really appreciated that they not only took the time to actually get acquainted with my big boy ginger cat (he's skittish so that's key) but also with myself. I loved that it was clean and that everyone from the receptionist and front staff to Dr. Steiner were warm, personable, professional, helpful, empathetic and professional.

To me as a fur cat kid mom are seriously important when moving to a new area and switching to a new Veterinarian. They also respected my military service by giving a discount which was honestly unexpected here in CA because I think this is the first time any Veterinarian actually did that. I was used to that when I was stationed in TX and CO and even overseas but here in CA wow! Lastly, I definitely appreciated the honest and candid pricing and information because seriously after coming back to CA I was shocked at how crazy high some places try to price gouge so it was nice that Newport Mesa was affordable on top of the excellent service I received. Even better that my furkid loved Dr. Steiner and her staff even though he had to get booster shots and have a check up.

Can't say enough for this vet. I have been going here for almost 20 years. They have taken care of my dogs and cats. They do not recommend surgery every time your dog gets sick. In fact any surgeries have been minor. Things have changed over the years but not the service or their philosophy. I totally recommend this establishment for any one who loves their pet.

They have knowledgeable doctors who do a thorough examination of your pet and then explain the diagnosis and treatment options that the layman can understand. Their prices are competitive and their facilities are clean and modern. I wouldn't trust my dog's care to anyone else but Newport Harbor Animal Hospital.

Needed a surgical procedure for my animal, and chose Newport Mesa Animal Hospital because they were so helpful on the frontend answering questions and eliminating the anxiety. It was apparent the team members adore animals (and their human customers) the minute we arrived. The space is a gem, it's set up nicely, clean and lots of space for a healthy, happy recovery. Great customer service, warm, so gentle, kind, confident and efficient. We will be back, thank you for taking care of our sweet girl, and us!

Again, I can't express enough appreciation for Dr. Keating and the staff at Newport Mesa. We own a Bernese Mountain Dog and have a couple of rescues we are taking care of. Her expertise has been invaluable to us in caring for our Berner and one of our rescues with diabetes. Thank you, Dr. Keating, for all of your help when we need it!

This place cares! They take the time to answer all questions, they follow up, they CARE! If you're on the hunt for vet for your furry friend, I'd highly recommend checking this place out.

I've been going to Newport Mesa Animal Hospital for over 15 years. I moved to San Diego a few years back and I still take my dog to see Dr. Tom every 6 months for a check up and every 4 months for dental work. Under Dr. Tom's excellent care, my 14-1/2 year old Yorkie Louie, is in excellent health and acts like he's 6. Dr. Tom has been a great vet and has given me much needed advice on Louie's upbringing. I feel confident in all Dr. Tom's decisions and wouldn't take Louie anywhere else.

Dr. Tom has been my vet for many many years, even took care of my dog that was in hospice for8 months'every day until he passed. I Just took my 7 yr old sheltie with three bad teeth in yesterday, and he had an immediate solution that was best for both me and my boy. He is a no nonsense vet with decades of experience with an incredible team of great vets, techs and management. Thank you again and again Newport Mesa!

Love Love Love Newport Mesa Animal Hospital and their entire staff! They are wonderful and have been for the nearly 20 years that all of my pets have been a client of theirs. I trust them entirely. Dr. Tom and Dr. Keating are absolutely fantastic! Just took my rescue pup, Nash, to Dr. Tom for his first time yesterday. Nash was Terrified when we walked in. Left with his head held high and tail wagging. I can't say enough great things about these people! Thank you NMAH

Grateful is the magic word. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Tom and this wonderful clinic. His staff are so sweet and they all truly care about my Snickers girl! Both Dr. Tom and Dr. Keating didn't want to do any tests that weren't necessary thus avoiding major costs for me. That's rare in the vet world. Everyone there is good, hardworking people that seriously love animals and have high morals and values. Dr. Tom is super personable and damn knowledgeable that's for sure.

We had a good laugh. The clinic has a very homey feel as soon as you walk in, It felt like a breath of fresh air when I walked in. I was worried about my cat, just crushed that she wasn't acting herself and scared myself. I always pack a bag for Snickers (pillow, my t-shirts, her blanket) and the girl with the super curly hair said that's totally great we will put it in with her!

The girls at the front are always busy but they don't look stressed or unhappy and are always ready to help as soon as we walk in the door. AND Dr. Tom (tearing up as I'm writing this) emailed me after I had emailed his office staff asking for help saying that he will personally take us on (instead of passing us along to someone else.) He has had great communication with me, emails and calls.

This may seem like a dramatic review lol but my cat means the world to me and to have found a vet that is just so all around amazing, well, just feels real good. Thank you Dr. Tom, we adore you.

It's always a pleasant experience bringing my cat to this practice. Everyone is extremely nice and understanding. The office is always clean and actually smells good. It's also decorated in surfboards which is very appropriate for the area. Easy check in and check out.

Dr. Steiner and the whole team are without a doubt the best in the industry. Each time I bring my pets here they are excited and make us feel at home. I've been to several vets and am glad to finally have found one I can depend on. The best of the best.

I highly recommend this place. Dr. Steiner and Dr Irwin are very knowledgeable in their profession. I came from another veterinarian (located in Huntington Beach), who did not take the time to pay attention to my concerns about my dog's symptoms. Long story short, I could not even imagine what could have happened to my dog based on that awful experience if I had stayed with this previous veterinarian.

She was also accepting too many patients more than she could handle. I found it concerning It appeared to me that her practice could potentially put a pet's life at risk. In any case, Dr Steiner from Newport Mesa Animal Hospital saved my dog. Because she was listening or paying full attention to my concerns regarding my dog's symptoms, she was able to identify his illness and implement the proper treatment.

My dog has Cushing's syndrome. Dr irwin was also able to identify the condition of my other dog, which also allowed him to get the proper treatment right away. Additionally, based on my experience to date, they appear receptive to feedback In case you have any concerns not only about your pets, but also how they provide their services or other matters you wish to discuss with them. They care about their patients. They want to make sure your pets are getting the proper care they need and deserve Please try their services.

Dr. Jennifer Keating is simply amazing. Immediately Dr. Keating lowered to my dogs level and began making him comfortable. I have a chocolate lab Frank who is 2 years old and a princess. He hides under chairs, on top of your lap, anything to get away from strangers touching his paws and ears. With Dr. Keating he doesn't try to run or squirm because he trust her.

This is a long overdue posting, as I have now had two dogs in their care over the course of probably 8 years. I had a bulldog and now a bulldog mix, and those little crazies are known for needing a little more in the health department. Having been with them a long time, I have met so many of the staff and have always had a great experience. Today my sweet love Dotty had tumor removal surgery and they couldn't have been more caring and compassionate about her case.

My prior little love, Beso, was a whole handful (you know the kind who has the neon beware sticker on their file?). Throughout the years with her, even though she was combative, the NMAH folks were always so sweet and loving with her. I will always be thankful for that. Anyhow, was just touched today with how much great care these folks have provided over the years and how we had one more great experience. I have included a picture of Dotty post-op rocking her sparkle bandage and being very unimpressed with the photographer for extra credit

Dr. Steiner and staff are VERY friendly, helpful, and efficient! I got a brand new puppy a few days ago and just took him in for his 1st check up and shots. Definitely glad I chose Newport Mesa Animal Hospital! They were great!

We had a great experience at the clinic. Our pup was scratching her ears non-stop and we couldn't see our bet for another week. Luckily this place is open 7 days a week - couldn't believe it! And they were able to get us in within a day - had the option to drop off pup and pick up but wanted to chat with the doc so opened for the in person appointment. Pup's ears were checked led and found mild yeast infection in one but the doctor cleaned and medicated both.

In addition, we got a cortisone shot as she was itching quite a bit. Our puppy was back to normal within hours - no more itching ears to shreds. The staff was super friendly and very helpful as well. Considering the great experience we had and that they are close to us, will be making them our primary vet.

Dr. Steiner took care of our English lab, Lando, last week while he had some GI issues. She was very compassionate and caring, and thorough with her work up to rule out anything serious or life threatening after our attempt at home care was unsuccessful. She called us right away when she got his bloodwork back to ease our minds that he did not have pancreatitis, which I found to be super thoughtful as she knew we were very worried about him. He's on the mend and back to normal thanks to her care!

We love Dr. Steiner! Dr. Tom previously took care of my French bulldog, Remy, for his entire life and we had a great experience with him as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NMAH to anyone with a fur baby!

The very best in animal care and I cannot recommend this place enough. Dr Keating is one of the kindest, compassionate and knowledgeable vets I have ever come across

Update: I have 5 felines, 3 of whom were temporarily sheltered as rescues, there. These 3 amazing kitties were so well treated & very well socialized. They were there for about 3-4 months when we finally got to bring them home! 3 beautiful black kittens! Dr. Tom cares for them to this day. Dr. Tom Irwin, Dr. Keating & Dr. Steiner are simply the best! The entire staff is REALLY good! (Hats off to Eric Irwin! He runs the family business!) Fast forward a year and add 2 red kittens.
