All the staff is wonderful and Dr. LaGrone has been a lifesaver for myself and my fiance! We have a leopard gecko that's had a few health problems, and every time we bring him in, she has always been so kind and ensures she does a thorough exam. You can tell she really loves all animals she interacts with, even the scaly ones. If you have an exotic pet (or any pet really), I HIGHLY recommend this clinic!

Despite an already fully booked morning and our lack of an appointment, the front desk staff kindly worked us in on a Saturday morning for our sick cat. Dr. Dave Pilkington took care of our cat with assistance from Caitlin and got him on the mend. Dr. Pilkington then made a follow-up call on Monday to ensure that everything was still OK. The clinic was clean, neat, and efficiently run. I'd recommend this clinic to anyone in the area needing veterinary services.

The staff is wonderful! My cat hasn't been feeling well and they got her quickly. They took very good care of her, did tests and also gave her the vaccines she was due. I'm so glad I made the decision to have her start going here.

I brought in my 3 yr old ex-battery hen, Reba, who was limping after a possum attack. The vet evaluated her, said there was nothing broken and to use NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) for pain. I asked for dosages and she said she could write down some so I can use what I have at home. She started to leave and I asked if they needed to weigh her - she said she forgot, and took her back to weigh.

The vet tech came back, apologized for spilling my hen's food all over her bedding, and set down a bottle of Meloxicam, a prescription NSAID. I told her I prescribe Meloxicam all the time and am familiar with it, but would prefer aspirin for my pet. I asked about the aspirin dosage and was told they legally can't tell me and can only use NSAIDs because it's "against the law for a vet to dose aspirin for a meat bird".

I told her aspirin is an NSAID and she disagreed with me. I didn't spend more than $75 on a vet visit to have them call my pet a "meat bird". I got an aspirin dose online. Aspirin is an NSAID, by the way. Wouldn't recommend for chicken care - there are better options.

This was our first time at Custer McDermott. Staff was very cordial. Dr Lagrone was very helpful and knew her business. She was concerned about our dog Princess, that we felt was misdiagnosed. She contacted specialist about Princess's heart and kidneys. Our felling about misdiagnosed was right. We think this is the best place for our dog. They are truly top professionals

We are so pleased! We needed to find a new vet for follow up care after a scary ER visit and are so glad for Dr Brewer! The front office staff was so nice, too! Dr Brewer called me with the blood work results and answered all my questions and explained her findings in detail. Our little rescue pup is doing so much better! We are so thankful for the great care!

They are very kind and empathetic. We had to bring our 19 yr old cat to them as a new patient (recently moved to area) for end of life care. They treated our sweet girl with love and respect

The most helpful and caring people I have ever come in contact with! Vets actually listened to what I had to say and were very helpful. I always leave with new information and have even received calls to follow up after visits. The people here clearly care and will take good care of your animals.

Female vet was nice. My cat was diagnosed with Mycoplasma and sadly, he wasn't given the correct antibiotic. He ended up in the hospital for 2 days. Maybe it's an isolated incident but I won't be going back. My baby is too important to me. The animal hospital (a different place) gave him the right med immediately and his temp went down pretty soon. He is now happy and running around at home.

My little shi tzu had his first appointment with Dr. Pilkington at Custer McDermott Veterinary Hospital. This appointment was scheduled as his "annual" check-up however, when Dr. Pilkington began to check him, he found several areas that needed his attention. He spent nearly 2 hours with us, doing necessary lab testing, vaccinations, and giving him a thorough evaluation.

This was the very BEST physical exam a vet has ever administered to one of our dogs. He is absolutely a Blue Ribbon, Gold Medal Veterinarian and the practice is, all, a perfect package.

We've taken our dog and 2 of our 3 guinea pigs here and have been very happy. The base visit rate is reasonable staff are friendly, and I always receive a call back in a timely manner. And most importantly, they take good care of our animals. Dr. LaGrone is experienced with guinea pigs; we are grateful to have a specialized vet close by.

Dr. LaGrone is an excellent vet. They get back with you, you're not ignored. No long wait time in lobby. Excellent job on cleaning teeth, testing. Very happy with them. Dr. L works on all types of critters also.

Best vets. Been using them for years with both my dogs. Excellent service. I especially like the very minimal time in waiting room and other pet interactions. They have a good system and a great referral network.

For being overly cautious dog parents, it's tough to find a place that makes you feel at home during COVID. Although they've never seen the smiles behind our masks, we found our home animal clinic. From false alarms to emergency situations we've put them through, Dr. Pilkington hits it on the head every time! A couple techs are even on a first name basis with our fur kids. Great Care, Great Service, and above all a great staff. Thanks Custer McDermott!

I have lived in places all over the country with my dog Dahlia and this is by far the best vet we've ever been to. My dog is older and has multiple chronic conditions(hip dysplasia, arthritis, bladder stones and dental issues) so we have been regulars here for the past year and a half or so. The staff is very kind to my nervous dog and they have always been courteous to me as well. Impressively we have always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner and the staff has remained organized despite the pressures of the pandemic.

We primarily see Dr Pilkington who has great people skills in addition to being an excellent doctor. He is very thorough when examining Dahlia, is easy to communicate with and his expertise has been invaluable in managing Dahlia's ailments and improving her quality of life. We are so grateful for finding this place and to all the hard working folks who make it great.
