Humane Society Of Wayne County We're currently planning on opening an Adoption Center for our cats/kittens at the PETCO store Routes 5 and 20 in Canandaigua. Volunteers are needed seven days per week to feed and clean the kitties, and to process adoptions. In September 2003 Governor George Pataki signed into law an ACT to amend the Agriculture and Markets Law, requiring appropriate shelter for outdoor dogs.

I can't say enough great things about the Wayne county humane society. They are an amazing group of people that are able to make the most out of a small amount of resources they have. If anyone has the opportunity to adopt a pet from them, I would strongly recommend it.

My wife and I found a beautiful dog. He's a great dog and he's family now. Thank you to all who helped us.

Besides knowing that director, he allowed me to adopt a stray. The chihuahua was lost, boughten into the shelter a week ago and we just lost our 10 year old pomeranian.

I agree.totally worst place ever the Lady at the desk was very very rude and so was the otherwise other lady working in back came out no mask on I was delivering a poor stay that I didn't want on the streets or freezing to death mean Lady at desk very unprofessional shsaid their job's are very stressful so are ours how do obvioslyimnottheonlyonewhofeelsthiswaythey think abandoned animal's feel and stress full for us that are trying to help these poor animal's I should not have given a donation she didn't Even say thank you or answer question's hopefully you treat the animal's better than the people that are trying to save the Lyons humane society sucks about cats he said no only no stern a veterinarian for two week's never again Petco is much nicer and the people are loving and true animal lovers one working in back.very rude people working there if it's too stressful leave the job all Jobs are stressful. Don't take it out on people trying to help animal's get a desk job

All employees are very rude and unhelpful. they don't let you put back up applications in which made me drive there 4 separate times and ultimately still not get the cat I was interested in.

They are so friendly and helpful. I just adopted a cat from there I can tell they love the animals. It is worth looking into if you plan on adopting a pet.

Awesome place. They are a no kill shelter. They allow you to come in and cuddle with and get to know your future pet. Very reasonable adoption fees and 100% of all money spent goes towards helping the other animals find their forever home. Take it from this long time adopter. You won't regret it.

Somebody dropped a 4 to 5 week old kitten off at my house. I was finally able to catch it. It had something stuck in its mouth. The Humane Society took this beautiful new baby kitty in and were checking her out when I left. So thankful I had somewhere to take this baby to. I already have 2 rescue cats at home so I couldn't keep her. Thank you so much Wayne County Humane Society! I pray this baby is ok and finds a loving forever home!

Absolutely love the folks at the Humane Society in Wayne County. They go above and beyond everyday to make a difference. I have always preferred to support no-kill shelters, and have adopted a few dogs from them over the years, and in the future, they will always be my first consideration when looking for an amazing addition to the family!
