Services
Fido's Fences has been keeping pets safe all over New York, New Jersey and Connecticut since 1989, installing and servicing custom pet containment systems tailored to each household's unique needs. Our systems can be used indoors or outdoors to keep pets in (or out) of any area on properties ranging from small urban lots to large farms and orchards.
Todd Benjamin served in the military for the United States Marines from 1998-2002 where he was trained and subsequently awarded a certificate of obedience training. He was further certified to be a K-9 police dog handler. Aside from teaching basic obedience, Todd is experienced in training/handling for agility, attack, bomb and drug sniffing.
When you select a professionally installed system, a Fido's Fences pet consultant will meet with you and your pet, survey your property, and recommend a pet containment solution that's right for you and your family. Once installed, our pet consultant will demonstrate all the features of your custom pet containment system and make sure you and your dog and/or cat understand how to use your electronic pet fence system. Training is critical to successful dog and cat containment. Our expert pet training team will tailor a program to meet your pet's requirements.
With our pet containment system, your pet may roam and play freely in your yard without escaping. The containment fence will help protect your garden, swimming pool, patio, etc and remind your pet that those areas are off limits. Unlike costly wooden or chain link fences, your dog or cat can't jump over or dig under our containment fence.

Too much negative to even list here but will say to find a better company. The very last issue with them was a surprise charge on our CC of $216 with no notice at all. They came out to FIX an install issue (we had to make 5 phone calls to finally get a manager to come out and resolve it) but they did resolve the issue finally (no mention of a charge of any kind) and then surprise, let's bill you.

They reversed the charge and then said it was my doing to ask if things cost for the future, hardly admitting the company should be telling the customer what things cost if there is one. That's unprofessional or just amateur and that's probably how they do things. I'd go elsewhere in the future.

Would give the no star if possible. They will nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Once they get hold of your CC. expect them to send you needless supplies every month. Steer clear for us they have been a really bad experience.

Installation person not very good. Left wire exposed in many sections and had to bury myself. The fence is great and worked well with my dog. With both installation and repair the review of their performance was filled out by them? Not sure that works for me

I have been a Fido Fence customer 30+yrs and today John came to My Home with 30+ yrs of overgrowth/ bugs and buried wires with a break "somewhere" he methodically worked and fixed what others gave up on. Instead of a $1200 rewiring bill he only ran 20 feet. Easily I could have been changed for a new wiring after 30 yrs but John was a Blessing in this heat and worked Magic. Thank U William for sending John and saving My Dogs Life Everyday. Fido Fence Thank you Robin

The company is fine, despite no showing once, and then being late to 2 appointments afterwards. However my dogs collar broke a year into it (the sensor part). We have a lifetime warranty, but had to pay $35 for a restocking fee. I get that the supplier of the product is different than the company, but we're disappointed that their product broke by no fault of our own, yet we still have to pay even more money to replace. If it weren't such an expensive product, it wouldn't be such a big deal but they say lifetime warranty and the product shouldn't just fall apart after a year.

Always the best service at Fido's. Great prices and even better people at this company. John explained every detail of the project and help me understand what would happen every step along the way. I feel comfortable knowing that my pups are safe, and that if anything goes wrong with the fencing or equipment that this company will stand behind its work. Look no further for an invisible pet containment company. Fidos. truly the loyal ones.

My experience with Fido's Fences has been outstanding. The sales rep met with us and reviewed our situation. He explained everything in detail at our house and gave us a solid idea of what to expect with the product and installation. T he installer was also incredible. He did exactly what we needed for the install and explained everything. He was neat and placed the equipment and fence EXACTLY where we wanted.

He also explained everything perfectly. The training effort was also on target. I am happy to say that everything went perfectly with every aspect of Fido's Fences. They are OUTSTANDING.

DO NOT USE THEM! The worst company I have ever deal with. Poor management and costumer service. We hired them to install our Electric fence sometime in the spring during the pandemic after we got a little poppy. The first time the job was sloppy, the electric wire wasn't deep enough and in some locations was completely exposed not to mention they picked the rainiest day to do it and damaging the grass path.

A moth later with no apparent reason the electric fence stopped working so after we called and they give us an attitude as to why it wasn't working. We have done no work to the yard or the grass so they charged us fee close to $200 for the repair. So to be fair, the only good experience that we had was dealing with Fido's is the fact that one of the technicians "Josh" was very helpful and understanding!

As of today in a middle of the winter our electric fence is NOT WORKING AGAIN! We are extremely disappointed with FIDO'S FENCES COMPANY, unless if you want to keep paying for poor product and poor costumer service. I will say DO NOT USE FIDO'S! MP

I have been a customer of Fido's Fences for several years and they are true professionals. Right from the initial consult and throughout the installation process, they were extremely helpful and courteous. They have a great battery plan and handle any necessary repairs quickly and professionally. Highly recommend them.

I inquired about a fence on Tuesday and had an appointment set for Friday. The rep, Todd, showed up early and immediately put me at ease by answering all my questions. No hard sell, just honest and knowledgeable which made me purchase the system during our consultation. A few days later the system was installed, works perfectly and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Fido's Fences to any dog owner, you will not be disappointed.

My dogs were constantly escaping and I did not know what to do! They would jump over 4 foot chain link. Then started digging under stockade. Then got out front door and got into a fight with passing dog. So I called Fido's and they solved the problem. I was skeptical because my one dog is a pit bull but she learned quickly and has stayed on the property.

The training process was about 4 days. We took them out about 2 times a day and showed them the boundaries by the flags and they have been really good. I love my dogs and I am so happy they are not running away any more. It was very nerve racking having to chase and find my dogs. Thank you Fido's! P.S. it's better to let your dogs feel a little zap as opposed to them getting hit by a car!

The worst. Do not use. These people have no compassion for pets. it's just a business to them. When a receiver on my dogs collar broke I asked them for a quick replacement. they were slow incompetent and did not include all the parts I needed. It caused my pet to be without protection for over a week. There was no apology no customer service whatsoever.

I have a system in my house for the past 11 years - have spent a small fortune with this company. I even signed up for their battery program- automatic shipments which was quite useful in the past. I was always happy with their service until today. I had lost one of my dogs this past January so I called to tell them not to send double the batteries- when I got back from Florida in April I stopped using the electric fence inside the house- I have received three envelopes with batteries in the past 6 months- I haven't opened any of the padded envelopes.

I went back to their office today and was told that they couldn't refund me for two of the envelopes because they don't know the shelf life of the batteries and it would t be fair to other customers. I understood that - but not really- you are in business for over 11 years and you don't know the shelf life of the batteries? There is no expiration date on them and they aren't being used until inserted in the collar- ok - didn't make a big deal over that. The.

She said I would o my get $7.50 back for the one she could credit me for. Then she said she couldn't credit me as she ran the charge over a year ago- what? I just said give it back and left. Terrible policies- especially when the owner was sitting right there and didn't even make eye co tact with me. Real friendly when they take your thousands of dollars but not so much when they aren't collecting. So for anyone who is looking for batteries- I will give them to you! Don't buy them!

Very expensive. not worth the money. Moved into a rental and with three dogs and a big piece of corner property it was something I felt I needed to do. Unfortunately, the house was not up to code and we had to move after four months. When I called them after moving into our new home and told them of our situation, it didn't really matter to them.

I thought being that we only had the product for four months they would give us some kind of break. Not so much. Too bad for them. I recommend good companies to everyone I know. Not this one.

We have small dogs and live in a neighborhood with many large dogs. Our Fido's Fence had kept our dogs safe for years. The dogs are so well trained that we can turn our system off and they still respect the boundaries. The customer service is quick, convenient and accommodating. Battery service, replacement collars and repairs are handled quickly and professionally. Anytime friends mention they are getting a dog, the first thing I recommend is a Fido's Fence. Best move a responsible pet owner can make.

I have been a longtime Fido's customer and I have recommended them to many of my friends who have the fences and collars with no issues. The technicians come out to do repairs very quickly. They have been around for over 2 decades and would not remain in business on Long Island without professional and courteous service along with an excellent product. I even get free batteries every now and then!

When they were "selling " me the product they said my location was no problem ( around 35 miles from their office) as their "technician lives out there". When I needed service their story changed to "we have to charge you to travel all the way out there." Really?
