The Suffolk County SPCA is a local, independent not-for-profit organization that has been servicing the humane needs, requirements, and enforcement of cruelty laws for Suffolk County, New York animals since 1984. NY State Law provides that there is to be but one SPCA per county in the State - the Suffolk County SPCA is in no way affiliated with, a subdivision of or funded by the Manhattan based ASPCA, or any other local, state or national organization.

Services
The Suffolk County SPCA provides an unique number of services and programs unlike any SPCA in the country! Our MASH unit, conducts spay/neuter clinics, provides educational programs, and supports senior citizens with the maintenance of their pets. In addition, the agency provides spay/neuter services to tens of thousands of feral animals, while assisting the residents of Suffolk County by providing for the health and safety of their pets.
Founded in 1984, the Suffolk County SPCA is a non profit Humane Society. The SCSPCA, in partnership with the community, is dedicated to protecting the rights, safety and well being of our animal friends as well as upholding and enforcing Article 26 of the Agriculture and Markets Law of the State of New York.
Conducting a cockfight, in which roosters are pitted against each other while spectators gamble on the outcome, would be covered in the state law, punishable by time in prison. Among the misdemeanor offenses is failure to provide food, care or shelter necessary to maintain an animal in a state of good health.

I called about a dog that's starving in my neighbors house, she was outside in the rain, I tried giving her some treats but she was just trying to get back in her house, I was able to put her back in so she could go to her porch but she needs help immediately I can't bring her to my house because my dog don't like other dogs!

So grateful that this organization takes pride in speaking for thoses who do not necessarily have a voice themselves. I had a compliant on animal abuse and sprung into action within 2 hours of my complaint! They kindly kept me updated on the status and I commend them for all their commitment, hard work and dedication to ensuring the safely if ALL animals! They take every case seriously and hopefully get to the bottom of this poor neglected undernourished animal that deserves to be treated better!

I had nquired about fostering a poor bird and dog where the owner was hospitalized and possibly not coming out. I stopped at there hauppauge cubicle as the rest of the building looks like a storage building. I gave them my name number and that I own a pet feed business. I informed them I was interested in fostering into adoption incase the gentlemen were to recover and be able to care for his pets again.
I inquired on a time frame for when the animal's would be released as I wanted if the gentleman would loke bring his dog to see him. They had no ideawhat was happening. Few days layelamy fatherfinally got in touch with someone who said would contact us as we were the first on the list for a walk through. I have several dogs and birds and even a few pigs.
We were willing to do a wal through and let the dog meet everyone. She decided we were not a good fit aend hitter blew us off. Normally not a big deal but this is the deglazing tine being blown off by this spca. Alls they want is donations. It is sad but not even a courtesy call and a poor reason as all my animals are happy as can be and I have everything from a pitbull to chihuahuas.
