This has been my LFS for years. They always have a very wide selection of saltwater and freshwater fish, as well as anything you could possibly need for your tank. All of the workers there are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I also shop here for food, treats, and toys for my dog and 2 cats. Their shelves are always fully stocked and prices are usually lower than anywhere else I shop. If you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping by.

In and out. No line no wait. Parked in a space right outside the entrance, grabbed a cart, head right to the section where they keep the catfood and cat litter. Picked up what I came for then head to the checkout counter. After a fast and friendly transaction I was out the door and on my way home. I love shopping here

This is the second time ordering from Petswarehouse. Both times the order for Natures Logic goes through and they send an email stating it will ship within 24-48 hours. Then both times the next day I receive an email saying it is on back order. The first time I never received a response stating Natures Logic was back in stock. They need to learn the concept of inventory. If you are out of stock the transaction should not go through like any reliable internet site does.

This is my favorite pet supply store. The store is always well stocked and has the best prices on fish and dog food. They have a great selection of both salt and freshwater fish. The fish are always healthy and the tanks are clean. I frequent the store on a weekly basis and always have a good experience. The staff is very knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Highly recommended!

I decided to check out Pets Warehouse for the first time to see what it's all about. I usually get my treats from Target, Petsmart & Chewy but I was in the area so why not check out the treat options here. This store is fully stocked with all the supplies you'll need for your dog, cat, bird, fish, reptile, etc. as well as aquarium & pond stuff and freshwater plants.
They have a large selection of healthy pet food, treats, toys and also the regular brands like Milk Bone, Purina, Pup-Peroni, Greenies & Blue Buffalo. The guy that was up front, helped me out and recommended a few good brands of treats to me. He said they were all made of natural ingredients, which supposed to be better for your pet. I purchased several bags of treats (duck sticks, duck jerky, chicken & cheddar bites) & some baked goods and my dog (Frenchie) enjoyed every one of them.
I think this may be my go-to store from now on for "healthier" dog treats. A bit pricey but worth it. Not to mention, the store itself is really spacious, clean and well organized.

Terrible customer service from Dakota and the main office. Purchased a fish tank. The stock tank had damage on it, so the store ordered me another tank. That tank and another one they ordered for stock both had damage on them. The store offered no discount on the damaged tank, then told me it was a special order item and a 25% restock fee would be charged.
How do you charge a restocking fee on damaged goods? So instead of offering a small discount and keeping a long time customer, they lost this sale as well as the sale on stocking a 36 gallon aquarium with fish, plants, other decor, and a filter. Plus any future business from me, which considering I used to only come here for my aquarium supplies is not a store breaker but still money out of their pocket. An astoundingly poor business decision.

This place is decent, but I'm pretty bugged that I was sold live rock from tanks treated with copper the last time I was there and didn't find out until today, when I went to get so e more. Totally ruined the tank, now I have to disassemble and throw out live rock and anything that was on them. That's a very expensive problem - they're lucky I didn't glue anything high end to those pieces.
But I also need to do a complete water change and change the sand. The guy said the person who sold me the rock may not have known - that's not an excuse. Reef tanks are expensive and he out the whole project at risk. Come in!

Buyer beware. Horrible customer service. This is a one star review. This is my experience at the Pets Warehouse in Carle Place on 177 Glen Cove Road. I purchased a 10 gallon aquarium tank set up with wood stand. Spent $184.64. The heater was not heating the water properly. I bring it back and they refused to exchange or refund. What the heck? "Karen" told me to contact the manufacturer. Wow.
If this was my business, I would simply give a new heater off the shelf. It's literally a $15 dollar cost. If that. Now, I will never come back and just go to the Petco next door. So dumb.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came in planning on spending a lot of money because I started up a new fish tank. I also recently rescued two puppies so I planned on buying some goodies for them as well. We were waiting patiently to be helped with picking our fish out, and this woman by the name ROXANNE (that's even her real name I can imagine she could have lied) said she would be right with us.
We wait, and she comes over and we told her we had some questions so we ask and she was immediately giving off some type of attitude. We brushed it off and asked for another fish, and while she's getting it she doesn't even ask which fish we want just starts getting any fish she felt convenient for her. I said wait can't I pick which one I want. she said WELL PICK ONE ALREADY.
Clearly with an attitude and really nasty. I ask my fiance to help pick and she starts MOCKING ME and repeating what I'm saying in a nasty tone. From that point I'm done! I said what is your problem? She starts screaming and saying I'm the problem when I did nothing to her! Then obviously we're all arguing back and fourth and I decided I didn't want to purchase anything from this place and give them any money after that. We left, and I know a lot of people with animals and I will always recommend them to NOT spend their money at this store.

I absolutely LOVE this store! I've been shopping here for the past 7 years for my babies; 3 cats and 2 dogs! Their pet food and supplies are cheaper than Petco and Petsmart. The store is also well-organized and I almost never have issues finding what I need, but when I do need assistance the employees are always readily available and willing to help.
The staff has been practicing and enforcing health and safety measures during these COVID times as well. Not sure what those two reviewers are referring to when they say the employees don't wear their masks, because they wear their masks properly whenever I'm shopping there (and I'm in here on a weekly basis!) and the employees don't even let people in without a mask or face covering.
I stopped in the local Petco once and the employees THERE weren't wearing their masks properly (their noses weren't covered) but PW's prices are better anyway so I will continue to shop here.

This place has the friendliest staff! They don't hover over you but do make themselves available should you need it. They have a variety of supplies for many pets and are reasonably priced. Plenty of crates and housing for all types of pets and that hard to find item. Shelving is organized and aisles clearly labeled. Well lit and always willing to help you with your purchases to the register and car. Always a pleasant experience shopping here, even if it's only for browsing.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Before getting into my review, I can see why this place sucks based on the disgusting and extremely rude responses the "business owner" gave to other people who have complained. This place does not care about not only their customers' safety, but they don't care about their employees' health either.
Not one employee there was wearing a mask properly or if any at all. I work in an emergency department of a major NYC hospital and if I can wear a mask for 12+ hours, these people can wear masks too. The owner doesn't enforce the mask rule and when confronted, doesn't care and won't respond to emails. My brother had gone into this establishment last month, and no one was wearing a mask.
He asked them, and subsequently the manager, to put on their masks and was dismissed. When he emailed the owner, he got no answer. Yesterday, we needed to get dog food and I suggested Pets Warehouse and initially he didn't want to go, but I gave them the benefit of doubt, which ended up being a mistake. Again, the no masks. We ended up going to Petco, in the next shopping center over, where EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE was responsible and wore a mask.
I refuse to give my money to people who don't care about humanity and are only worried about putting money in their pockets. Edit** update to review. This company conveniently had two people post reviews commending the staff for maintaining a safe distance and wearing masks on the same day about a week after I posted this. This is false. NO ONE WEARS A MASK OR MAINTAINS ANY DISTANCE.
You know how I know? I went back to see if anyone started wearing their masks after the yelp post, and still nope! There isn't 6 feet between the cashier and customer as that would be an awkward transaction to try to manipulate so there's a lie right there. Also, do yourselves a favor the reviews that aren't recommended on the bottom of this page.

I have been shopping here for many years for my dog. About a month ago I came here and the employees were not wearing their mask over their nose so I asked them to do so and they declined, the manager included. I ended up writing them a lengthy email and never heard back. I was upset about this so for a little while I did not shop here. I went back today and this time one employee did not have a mask at all while the others were not covering their nose.
They do not care about your safety. When I saw the worker did not have their mask on when I entered the store, my sister and I promptly walked out and went around the corner to the local petco, where EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE was wearing their mask properly. And so I repeat - this establishment does not care about your safety.

I came spend about more than $200 took a bed they told me I could bring home and the bring it bag to be exchanged. Came back with it and the manager said absolutely no way it could it been exchange. I should it have gone somewhere else! I hope we didn't get infected with your products too! It was a big mistake to bring you business! Big mistake!

I ordered an item from this company using my iPhone. While placing the order, it said eligible for free shipping. Unfortunately the company does not provide accurate information utilizing the mobile version. The free shipping came with orders over $49. Below are my correspondence with the company. Not very professional and I would discourage using them. PetsWarehouse.com. "It says it very clearly we don't understand how you still don't see it.

I was driving by and figured I stop in to get my ferrets a lil gift. I was shocked by how enjoyable this visit was. First i want to start off with the staff. They were beyond helpful and welcoming. There was at least one person working in each deparment and everytime I entered a new department I was always asked if I needed any help. I felt appreciated and valued as a costumer.
They have many products for all types of animals, various food, treats, carries, cages, accessories, a beautiful aquarium section, an id tag machine (pets name tag for collar) and even a koi pond at the enterance. They had a salt and fresh water section with various live aquarium plants as well. Great experience with incredible staff. Definitley coming back.

I'm pissed off to say the least. I have bought several fish from this place and maybe 3 out of 5 fish I buy have died randomly. When I go in and tell them they say oh it's my water oh it's this or that. NO ITS NOT! All my other fish are fine. Fish I buy from other stores are fine but ones I buy from here always mysteriously die. I end my business here officially because my pleco just died. I fed It cucumber once a week as they instructed and still mysteriously died although was fine this morning. Done and wish I never stepped foot in this store

Needed some plants for my tank and couldn't find the ones I wanted anywhere locally. I had never heard of PetsWarehouse before. The shelter-in-place order has limited my movements and forced me to make mostly online orders for my fish tank needs. I have an LED blue light for my tank and wanted some artificial plants that would appear to "glow" when the lights were on.
They were reasonably priced and the ordering process was easy. My only issue is that I needed some Paraguard as well and it was half the price on Amazon so I asked for a price match. They asked for the link as if they would verify the price but came back with a response that they were notifying Amazon about the highly rated seller's price. Wasn't a deal breaker but was disappointed with that outcome. Shipping was quick and my items were packaged well.

Pets Warehouse Carle Place - Bathrooms - for heaven sakes. I made a trip over to this Pet store. I bought over 100.00 dollars of stuff, not at sale prices, nor with any particular kind of friendly customer service. The cat cans were more than the other big known store. The dog treats cost the same or more. There were piles of supplies outside of the store stacked up in plastic.
I asked to use the bathroom. I was told No in no uncertain terms by a man who said that he Was the Manager. One female worker said go to T. J. Max. Seems in another shopping center somewhere, where I would have to take the car to get to, there is one with a bathroom. A.C. Moore is closing. There was one at this location. I went in. Again, I had a pile of things to buy in my cart.
I asked a young man working there if I could use the staff bathroom as I saw a sign that said the bathrooms were out of order. He said he understood as we went to the back, he met another man in a work vest and the man said I could not use the bathrooms they were not working. I noted that, and asked to use the Staff bathroom. He was rather nasty and said that they only have 2 bathrooms and neither work. Odd, I saw 3 doors the 1 between said Staff.
What does he care? Afterall, the store is closing. I happened upon the West End Bar and Grill in the corner of the lot of stores and it was opened. There is a sign on the door, Bathroom for customers only. a charming young lady did allow me to use their bathroom. T.G.! I wanted to buy something at the bar. But they do not have takeout cups. I thanked her and told her I would come back to eat there. Her reply, you will get really good food here. So this place is next on my list to try; with updates after I have been there.

Pets Warehouse in Lindenhurst, next to Long Island Paneling is awesome! The store is BRAND NEW, very CLEAN & ORGANIZED. They had a great variety for all my pets needs. The staff was super helpful and very personable. They wanted to know about my pets and took their time assisting me. Thank you Pets Warehouse in Lindenhurst- i cant wait to go back :

This place use to be my go to fish store. That had knowledgeable friendly fish hobbyists. Until I got a guy that hid in the back. Had to ask a short skinny kid to please get me an associate tells me it's wasn't his department okay well you work here get me someone to help me. Tall skinny young guy comes out will some attitude. What do you want?
Right after he walked right past me. Never makes eye contact at all. Had to ask for the price, made me buy the pair new to me. What a joke! Never referring anyone here again. I was going to buy more fish & plants but not with this guy not helping me! Only good person was the old short lady helping someone as well as the nice short counter girl that was very friendly! Overpriced & have some scum bags working with very nice ladies. Doesn't make any sense your ruining your place with these people. I will tell people to stay far away! The colorful fish aren't worth it!

The worst aquarium shop in NYC. Everything there are a few bucks more than even the big box stores like Petco. The man at the cash register by the entrance is an African type of guy that never greet or thank his customers. Petswarehouse has multiple locations throughout Long island, but this particular one is different. Their dry goods are always a few bucks extra than any other stores I've been to. Service is horrible, fish are parasitic and plants always come with something more than you bargained for (snail and/or scud).

Went in here last Monday and again last Wednesday afternoon. Monday I was left alone, no one offered to help. I had to look for someone to check me out at the front register. Wednesday was worse. I asked a fish person if he knew the difference between two Seachem items. He indicated he didn't know and would ask. He went off, and helped another person.
After about 10 minutes, I found my answer online, then walked past the guy helping with a fish. I said hey, I found my answer online, wish you wouldn't have left me hanging over there. He shrugged and didn't apologize. I had about $60 of sand and $100 of supplies in my cart. I went over to the cat area - the litter options were picked over (no Arm & Hammer Multicat), and I didn't find my typical Wellness canned options. Ended up having to go over to Petsmart later that night.
I go up to the front, and have to wait another 5 min for checkout. There was a woman on the phone who was having a heated conversation. She saw me but didn't acknowledge my need to check out. I ended up finding another guy stocking bird things. he sighed and came over to the register. He barely talked to me, not a friendly experience. The worst - after the woman gets done with her phone call, she screeches (no joke) about how sick she is of the guy she was talking to.
She looked to the now-cashier for agreement - and then to me! I was like, WTF lady leave me out of your phone fight! She rants some more, yells out to someone on the other side of the koi pond, then stalks off. I just wanted to leave. Seriously, the customer service there. what a mess. Hi All, today I went to Pets Warehouse at Carle Place and bought a 60 gallon fish tank for only $109 dollars. The other places would have cost me $179 and up. Oh, the other places do not carry a 60 gallon fish tank and most of the time there is not a fish tank that you want available. They will have to order the tank for you and charge you an additional $75 to ship the tank to your home.
Let just say if you are looking for a fish tank in stock and an unusual sizes for far less than the other pet supply places; Pets Warehouse is the place to shop. Check out their website. Oh yes, they do have other pet supplies too.
