Happy Dog Barkery is the best. Cooper loves their baked goods. Every time he walks into the store, it is the best day of his life. He is greeted by warm smiles, and the occasional treat. The employees are all great and very helpful. I have not had a bad experience.

Just an amazing store! Wonderful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff! Our fur baby absolutely loves going shopping here. Moreover she loves the homemade stews and all the baked goods. Absolutely a must-visit place for you and your furry friends.

Best place to bring your dog for baked goods and other treats. The staff is friendly, helpful and caring. It was Zoeys 15th and we bought her some liver cake treats and a Happy Birthday cookie.

Amazing variety, amazing product. My dogs loved the treats. They also make beautifully decorated cakes, which my dogs happily enjoyed. They couldn't stop licking their lips and wanting more. I'd rate 10 stars if I could!

Great customer service! i ordered cake for my dog but wasnt able to get it due to unexpected emergency and i phoned Beth to ask if i can pick up cake sooner and she accomodated me. The cake looked soooo cute and icing tasted amazingly great! There is no bakery for dogs like this bakery! This place is soooo cute! The second you walk in, you feel like you are in dog heaven! They have a ton of toys, treats, and sweets in their bakery for dogs! I ordered a cake for my sisters dog, Leo. He loved it! We will be back next year! Great customer service, too. The manager is super nice and all the people working there are, too!

Wow! If you have dogs. You need to visit this incredible store! Forget pet smart or petco this place is amazing! My dog Jamie turned 7 today and I stopped by to purchase a cake! Not only are they so knowledgeable about dogs in general and what they have to offer in store but incredibly friendly. I cannnot rave enough about how great this place impressed me in just a matter of minutes.

The only down fall for me ( not really I don't mind driving ) is that it's 45mins away from my house. As I purchased the first cake I was on my way home and I immediately had to brake drastically, 20mins on the highway and I ruined the frosting. I went back and they immediately took care of me. I asked what was the difference because I was more then happy to pay for there service on re frosting my dogs cake, they didn't charge me!

They were so understandable and helped me by repackaging the cake a different way so I wouldn't have an accident again. Thank you girls so much who helped me this afternoon. The first picture I am sharing is the first cake that I accidentally ruined the frosting. Second pic is the new and re frosted cake. Love this store! We got a cake for our pups first birthday here and he absolutely devoured it. Also, didn't have any tummy issues afterward, which is crazy knowing how sensitivity his stomach is. The staff is always so helpful and knowledgeable. They also have so many treat options. We love this store so much!

You guys went above and beyond to help accommodate in arranging a cake for my little ones 1st birthday! I was afraid that Zoe might not like the cake (Zoe is extremely finicky) but Zoe and her friends demolished everything! Some of Zoe's friends have birthdays next month and have already arranged to get their cakes from you guys and although the drive is about 45 minutes, it's definitely well worth it.

Thank you for making her third birthday so special in May! Great ingredients! We make sure our girl eats good wholesome foods and this was the ultimate treato for her! Our made our pittie a happy girl!

I've been wanting to stop by and I finally did on my dog's birthday! We were able to get some cookies, a cupcake, and a personalized cake! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They even went out of their way to give extra treats to my birthday boy! We joined the rewards program and we will definitely be back!

I never really got the appeal until I started going in regularly. I mean it's a pet store, right? It's really more of a deli for dogs, lol. What a great selection of treats. We got the cutest cupcakes for our dogs birthdays. A little pricy but totally worth it!

Last year I ordered a dog birthday cake and picked up (driving from Chicago to Downers Grove round trip). This cake was fresh, moist and perfect. This year I decided to order another birthday cake, this time via delivery. We placed an order 12 days before requiring the cake for my pups birthday party at daycare; this order also included a birthday hat and toys. Btw.

I also PAID for delivery. Did the order arrive on time? Nope! My pup had no cake and no gifts at his own party. Happy Dog Bakery utilized USPS for shipping (blank stare). Question for Yelp readers-- Has USPS delivered anything on time since 2009? If you're going to offer delivery services at least use UPS or FedEx. P.S the cake looks stale after sitting in a box for a week, very crumbly. I hope my dogs don't get sick! Ugh

Such an amazing bakery! Got my dog's 1st bday cake here along with some treats for him. See pics below of the peanut butter cake and his enthusiasm devouring it! Will 100% be back to get him some snacks from here. They have non-hide bones, pb & salmon snacks that are great for sheepies!

Great spot in downtown Downers Grove! It's a cute bakery near the library. I wish more places existed like this! We went by to pick up a cupcake and cookies for my puppy. She loves it! I had to hold back so she didn't eat the whole thing and spoil her appetite. They had other dog stuff like dog food, dog toys and chewing food. Also they make their own wet food toppers. Will definitely be back!

Bottom Line. IF YOU HAVE A DOG. BRING THEM HERE! I fell in love with this place on my first visit. There were friendly dogs everywhere and I love the vibe between customers, staff, and pets! Staff are friendly and have a lot of knowledge about dogs and their products. They are affordable when compared to petco and petsmart. I was able to buy two dog toys, treats, and dog food for $45.

They even gave me some dog samples from their bakery! My dog loves her new toys and treats; This is now my go to spot and I can't wait to bring my dog with me next time. I wish I would of gotten pictures but I will next time. I highly recommend people to visit Happy Dog Bakery with your fur baby!

If I was a dog my tail would not have stopped wagging in this place. SO MANY CHOICES! It's located downtown Downers Grove and was really easy to find. The store was very clean and everything was really neatly organized. They had a variety of things here from toys, treats, bones, collars, home-baked goodies and so much more. Their cakes looked like professional cakes you would buy at a normal bakery for people. AMAZING.

The store associate was so kind and provided a bunch of suggestions after learning about her breed. She also gave me a few of their special homemade baked goods for Lucky to try. I ended up getting our fur baby a 12in chicken rawhide for about 9$ and she wanted to eat the whole thing in one night. She LOVED the extra treats and you could tell they were 100% homemade. Can't wait to bring her with next time and explore the store with me! They also have fun events that are dog friendly and seem to be very active in the community. Way to go!

Dog mom dreams come true! I've been following HDB on Instagram for a while now, and was finally able to make it into the store last week. The store was bigger than I expected, with so much more than I thought would be there! They have toys, bones, treats, meds, supplies, and more. They even had some handicap dog needs such as belly belts. (Impressive!) Of course the cutest part is the homemade bakery treats - everything from birthday cakes to cupcakes to doggie brownies to specialty cookies that say "Go Sox" and more! (My dogs are huge Sox fans so they really appreciated that!) The staff was extremely helpful!

I asked one of the employees for a recommendation on a long lasting chew treat/ bone. She asked what kind of dogs I had and if I had any dietary preferences, and when I let her know I had two labs and I don't give them rawhide, she suggested the "no-hide bones." My dogs LOVED them! Although this store is a bit pricey, there is no reason you should not make this an occasional stop to spoil those pups that oh so ever deserve it! Thanks HDB for existing!
