Dawn Sims is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She is a graduate of Animal Behavior College and held the CPDT-KA certification for nearly a decade. She is a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the Pet Professionals Guild, and a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
We offer in person training at our Rudy, Arkansas location, along with online training for those who cannot make the trip. All training can be customized to meet your specific needs. A single session may be purchased to address issues like house soiling or to learn the general methods to getting dogs to repeat behaviors.
We are no longer able to train service dogs due to insurance restrictions. However, every service dog will need the skills to be well behaved in the world, and we are happy to take you on as a basic obedience client in order to achieve those skills. Please feel free to enroll in our Courteous Canine Program.
Follow 81 Loop for 4.3 miles. You'll see the "Pavement Ends" sign. Just beyond the sign, the road narrows in front of you and a wider road turns to the right. This is Lancaster Road. Turn right on Lancaster. It's about a mile on the left. Watch for the water tower on the right and then the sign for Happy Hound Pet Services on the left.

Dawn really knows her stuff! My husband and I got a rescue hound who has never been trained before. She jumped on us, tore up furniture, bit us while playing, you name it and she probably did it. We didn't want to give up on her so we called Happy Hounds and I'm so glad we did. Our dog did a complete 180! Dawn works with your schedule and is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend her for any of your dog training needs!

We found Dawn with Happy Hound Pet Services online and decided she was our best pet-sitting option for our week long business trip to Atlanta. I'm so glad we chose her! She took GREAT care of our dogs (a 7 year old Great Dane and a 2 year old Sheep Dog mix). We usually come home to find our pups have lost weight, are shedding more than usual, etc, and it all stems from stress.
When we got back from Atlanta, they were just as we had left them: spoiled, tubby, and as sweet as ever. I can't thank Dawn enough for taking care of them. She was extremely professional and upheld every end of the bargain. This was a wonderful first experience not only with her and her company but with pet sitting as well. We will be contacting her soon for other services that she offers.

I hired Dawn to help me with my rescue to get over his fear of car rides. She was alway patient and understanding to me and my fears, as well as being awesome with my pup, Tater. We worked for 6 weeks and made significant progress. He will jump in the backseat and ride for short periods of time. Dawn was then able to explain to me that dogs get car-sick too and this may be part of the problem. At Tater's yearly shot appointment, the vet agreed with her diagnosis. I highly recommend her.

We used Happy Hound Pet Services and Miss Dawn was wonderful my Rottie pup 3 months old was untrainable and she done miracles in 4 weeks I would recommend her services to anyone. She was very patient and caring toward my puppy. We can not stress enough how great she is. Queen is the best, well trained Rottie puppy ever! Thanks Dawn
