We love using Rippling Run for their simplicity, care and convenience. It's a no frills place that keeps your dog safe, healthy and loved. Our dog does come back with a smell of a kennel, but it's a kennel so what do you expect? If you want a resort feel for your pet where there is pampering throughout their stay, head elsewhere, but do not write Rippling Run off if you're looking for your dog to just be a dog and enjoy an active, safe stay with lovely customer service.

My family took our dogs to rippling run kennel for a 2 day stay. The outside had ivy growing on the building that look like poison ivy and had very overgrown grass in the fenced in area and around the whole building. Took the manager hour to respond and told us the dogs were fine. When we picked the dogs up they were very excited to get home and seemed like they never wanted to go back.

They reaked of a place that they kept the dogs at a adoption agency for dogs or cats. We had to wash the bed, collars, leashes, and the dogs themselves because they reaked. Also had to ferbreez the car so the smell won't linger. Never want to smell the smell again and never going back.

My family took our dogs here while we went on a two day trip. There was no sign or address visible from the road. We are supposed to text the manager's phone number when we arrived and to check up on the dogs. After we had texted her, we waited almost half an hour for her to come to the parking lot and check us in (they were not busy when we arrived).

After that, she finally allowed us to bring the dogs in, but we couldn't enter due to COVID-19. We were, however, allowed to poke our heads in when we brought the dogs' bed and food into the door. We noticed a pile of wet towels sitting in the back corner of the reception room and the odor of week old dog urine hit you in the face like a brick wall.

While we were gone, we contacted the manager via text message to check up on our dogs. It took her eight hours to respond, and when she did, she sent the same photo of our dogs sitting in the equivalent of a dirty prison cell three times. She claimed that the dogs were fine, but they looked to have been neglected the entire day. On the second day, we arrived home early and asked the manager if we could pick the dogs up, but said she would have to charge a $20 early fee per dog.

Then we had asked for a picture of the dogs, but her phone "wouldn't allow her to take/send photos". The third day, we went to the kennel again to get the dogs. Unlike a normal kennel, or any normal business for that matter, the kennel was only open from 3 to 5. We arrived at 2:57, texted the manager, and waited in the parking lot for over 30 minutes.

She told us before she arrived that she was running late. When she did finally arrive, she released the dogs and their belongings. However, our dogs and their bed were wet and smelled of urine. The manager said that it was due to the humidity and cleaning up the dehumidifiermade everything wet, but there is no reason to believe her because when she arrived at 3:48, that was the first time she had entered the building that day.

When we arrived home, we gave our dogs food and water. Both of them ate all of the food in their bowls and almost drank all of the water we gave them. We had let them out to go to the bathroom, and both of them peed like they haven't been let out in 2 days. This made us stop and think, what was more important than taking care of someone's dogs? That was your entire job, and you failed at that.

Never again will we trust Rippling Run Kennel to watch our dogs. It is obvious that they do not care about the animals under their watch. If you care about your pets, then you would not trust them either.

My dog asked me to write this review because he loves this place! I am not exaggerating when I say it may be his favorite place in the world. It may be a little lackluster from a human standpoint, but I can't deny the wagging tail when I drop him off and pick him up. It's affordable, and I think it's great that they don't require a million shots (like canine influenza or kennel cough twice a year).

I love that Jess spends all day with the dogs and is able to tell me who he played with and any shenanigans he got up to during the day. It may be a little hard to locate as there aren't any signs by the road and the kennel is up a hill, but it's worth turning around for!

Great caring place for your pups! Both of my dogs came back smelling fresh and looking great after their baths. I recommend them and will come back again in the future. Thanks again~~ Snow and Magik

If I could rate this place a 0 I would! Never, NEVER again! Don't let their website fool you! This place is awful! I was in a serious pinch due to a last minute change in my son's wedding venue and the kennel I had previously scheduled was full, on this date. Once we got there the place was overgrown and there was garbage around the entrance to the office door.

I hesitated leaving my dogs, but I thought a day and a half couldn't possibly be so bad. I was so wrong! When I went to pick up our dogs, their beds were soaked in urine. The owner tried to tell me it was water from an over turned water bowl. Lie number one. Our dogs NEVER urinate in the house or on themselves. They can both hold their urine all night long and for at least 8 hours when left at home.

They don't feed them the way you request per the paperwork you fill out. The owner told me the dogs hadn't eaten well that morning. Lie number two! I sent just enough cans of wet food to mix with their dry food and when I got home all but one can was still with their belongings. My dogs couldn't get enough to eat, once home. I wonder if they were fed at all.

They need investigated and shut down! I will be notifying the proper authorities! This is animal abuse and neglect! Don't send your pets here! A dangerous place for them!

I take my GSD here for day camp and he absolutely loves going to see his friends and Jessica. They take wonderful care of him, so my mind is at ease while I'm working. Highly recommend!

Rippling Run has been taking care of our great dane, when we travel, for over a year now. The staff are attentive and take great care of him. We feel confident that he is in good hands when we are away.

Please do NOT take an animal there. It's doggie hell. My wife and I stopped with our Havanese and I wouldn't let him down onto their floor. The place smelled so horrendous of urine. Don't take my word for it. Drop in and ask to see the facilities. It is beyond deplorable and should be shut down. They seem lazy and are letting it fall into ruin using an inexpensive price to milk any people who don't care enough about their dog to pass up a cheap kennel.

As we toured the building, the grooming station was a mess. Hair from many different dogs strewn all about. Urine ran from the cage areas to a central drain (dogs don't like to sleep where they pee but it was quite obvious that those poor dogs in their care hadn't been taken out. ever.) The run out back was small with tall, uncut grass. It was also filled with feces. That was probably the reason they weren't taking the dogs outside.

Other than the price for the area, there was nothing good about this kennel. The bed came back saturated in urine. They forgot I requested the extra play time and the dog bath at the end of stay. They also forgot to give my dog his medication at least 5 times based on the number of pills left. I will not be using this kennel again.

I have been taking my dogs and my daughters dogs there for years. They take excellent care of the dogs and treat each dog as in individual. They are very caring owners. I have never smelled foul odors in the lobby. It is always clean. The owners are very friendly and very accommodating. Can't say enough about them.

First time using this kennel. We needed a place close by that we could board our 2 pups for a night. It was their first time in boarding. They did great and the staff were playful with and attentive to them. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. We will definitely be using this kennel in the future!

Unfortunately this was not a good experience for our two dogs. This was the first time for us at this kennel as we had to book it at the last minute for two nights. Don't be fooled by their website! The place is run down and neglected. The first sign of what we were in for should have been the strong foul odor in the lobby. Still some reviews online were positive and a woman there at the same time said her vet had recommended it and we didn't have another option.

When I picked the dogs up our little beagle was trembling and filthy and smelled of urine. Our bigger dog was equally filthy with yellow paws and smelled like urine. They couldn't give us their blankets back because "they got wet and 'might' have peed in them". Ironically they told the couple ahead me of the same thing. We had to throw away their toys as well. Anyway, we won't be back and if I were you I would think twice. We aren't even going back to pick up the blankets once washed!
