I recently visited Lucky pause pet resort with my 10 month old golden retriever for their outdoor pool and play area. We had an amazing time and Luna loved playing in the dog pool. It was her first time swimming in a pool and it was great as she could walk in and explore the pool without having to be in the deep end right away. We had an hour time frame so there weren't too many dogs there within her hour which was nice for an uncrowded experience. We can't wait to go back to the pool later later this summer!

I had to board my shy cat for 12 days and was worried about how he would respond. He refused to eat so Kirsten and team went way above and beyond to get him to eat. They went to the store to try new foods, tried placing the food in different areas, tried mixing dry food with water, and built him a blanket fort to hide in. Kirsten kept me updated and asked for feeding suggestions.
I appreciated all of the updates and everything they did to make him comfortable during his long stay. They also have the best cat facility and the most caring staff! I also loved that they are in the building with grooming services so there is typically less noise than other boarding facilities that keep dogs and cats in the same building.

I had a great overall experience there yesterday with my dog Franklin. He loved the agility setup indoors, the adjoining outdoor space with a fun cave like underground tunnel and pretty much everything about the space. This was our first experience with an indoor dog play area which can be rented by the hour for private play sessions and we loved it.
After a week of yucky weather and being cooped up it was worth the drive to give him a good play session. The owner is professional and promptly returned my call and provided the space on short notice. It was immaculately clean. The screening process did require a recent fecal exam which I don't recall being required at other doggie day care/boarding facilities, but I like the extra measure of safety this provides.
I was unable to bring my other dog because I haven't had to do a fecal exam on her recently but I understand and appreciate the policy. Just letting any future guests know to make sure to have that. The only thing I might recommend is putting a softer astroturf type surface in part of the indoor play area. My dog struggled a little getting used to the hard floor surface, but adjusted rather quickly and it wasn't a big issue.
I can't vouch for the boarding and day care but would consider using them. It seems like they take a more individualized approach than other facilities which would be a real bonus when boarding. I look forward to using the outdoor dog pool and play area in warmer weather.

Lucky Paws is the absolute best! I know my dog is in the best care possible when he stays at the Lucky Paws Pet Hotel while our family is away. The staff is wonderful, caring, very professional and I can tell that they love what they do. I won't take our dog anywhere else.thank you for taking such great care of him! Christy Kelly

Disappointed. When dropping off our dog we were greeted with unhappy faces. I had my daughter with me at drop off because she obviously loves her dog and wanted to make sure he was going to be ok. The lady at the front desk was very nice to my daughter letting her know she would update us frequently and reassured my daughter she would send plenty of pictures of our dog.
With that said I received zero pictures of our dog and I had to ask twice for updates. My dog stayed for 11 days and my daughter asked me every day for an update. Don't say you're going to do something if you're not going to do it. Also my dog unfortunately could only use the daycare for the last portion of his stay due to kennel cough in their facility.
We got a very vague report on it at pick up, that I had to ask for. We have no clue how he ate or if he kept his schedule with his BM. We arrived home a whole two days early due to something that was out of our control and I called to pick him up two days early. The lady on the phone was very snarky and said I would still be charged for those two days that my dog would not be utilizing. It's such a shame that you pay all that money and you have no clue how your dog did and the communication of the staff is so poor. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Lucky Paws always takes the best care of my pups! We have 3 dogs, all of which receive grooming services from Lucky Paws. Michele is so patient and understanding with our shy pup. I'm am a nervous pet owner and they always answer all of my questions, address my concerns, and never make me feel like I am being ridiculous. I am not one to leave reviews and I am very critical when it comes to businesses that provide services for my pets. Given that, if you are looking for personalized, professional service Lucky Paws is the place to go!

We recently visits Lucky Paws Dog Park and had a great time. It's great taking my dogs to a facility that requires up-to-date vet reports, requires a reservation and monitors the activities of the pups. I don't mind paying the fee knowing we will be at a safe and clean place. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and can take care of any issues that arise. We also love the pool for the dogs and they come home happy and exhausted.

The owner has recently contacted me and was very kind and understanding. Although I didn't receive a full refund for the associated fees that I had incurred, she did reimburse me for half. She also apologized that I had a bad experience and gave me her cell phone number should I need to contact her.

Have taken my dog to this place several times for daycare. Facilities are clean and very nice and modern. The staff I would rate so far as amazing. Very caring and genuine. My concern here is I witnessed my dog and other big dogs jumping this interior fence in the inside daycare facility on more than on occasion which makes it difficult for staff and frankly dangerous for the dogs.
Some dogs get stuck on the fence and fall awkwardly or need help down. Once my dog came home and was missing hair in multiple spots and limping from jumping and falling awkwardly as reported to me by the staff. I approached the owner Gretchen Fieser-412-370-6021 about my concern and more so safety for my dog. I asked if she was considering replacing the smaller fence with a taller one anytime soon since the dogs could jump it.
She told me her dog can jump it and there are not many that can jump it (meanwhile I just watched 4 dogs inside jumping it) To my surprise, she was totally arrogant disregarding the safety of my dog and said if you don't feel this place is a good fit for your dog you may want to go somewhere else. I showed her the missing hair on my dog and told her what the staff informed me of.
She said she didn't want to spend money on getting a new fence right now she has other things to spend money on. Again through our conversation she told me to take my dog somewhere else. I was shocked. I was in no mood to argue with this woman even though I wanted to rip her a new one, hence why I am written this review. It's such a beautiful facility w caring employees but has such a cold- hearted disrespectful careless owner.
In none of the conversation did she care about my and the other dogs safety of the fence. That is disturbing. THAT SHOULD BE HER NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! I get dogs are crazy at daycare but it's her responsibly to remedy a simple problem and this is a problem. So wake up lady, get off your pedestal, walk out of your office and observe what is going on around you instead of making assumptions and excuses saying dogs don't jump the fence when I just witnessed it happening.
Even the staff told me they wish they would get a taller fence. Because the dogs jumping causes problems for them. Her employees should get a raise because without them her business would be nothing and if people had to deal with her all the time with that attitude no one would go there. I have never written a review on yelp but I was appalled at this owner behavior.

Let me start this by sharing that my dog is the center of my universe! He is a 2.5 year old golden retriever and requires a great deal of attention and exercise! On days that I have evening things, I always trust Lucky Paws and their staff with my baby for daycare services during the day! They do an incredible job of taking care of him during doggie daycare.
They always let me know when I need to get new records from the vet ahead of time, and my pup is always so excited to go! They offer training classes, grooming services, and boarding at this facility as well! We did some training classes when he was a pup there and also had him groomed there twice. They do a great job!

Woooow! This is the very best dog park in the pgh area! Not only do they have a pool but they also offer a safe and fun place for pups to run and play. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Be sure to have all your shots and fecal tests up to date, they are very strict about that (thankfully, for the safety of our fur babies, I love that about this place) I'm excited about the indoor park for the winter! If you love your pupper, you're gonna love this place!

My dogs absolutely love going to daycare and the dog park here! Each day they arrive they rush to the door excited to play with their friends! They have indoor and outdoor facilities and thenout door dog park is large with a nice soggy pool my boys love! The staff has always been nice to me and my babies and I find them to be very thorough. I am glad they check vet records, I don't need my dogs coming home sick, so I appreciate them being sticklers on this. Daycare is 270$ for 10 visits for all day.
And the dog park is 10$ and you can stay as long as you like. My boys will continue to come here and have a blast doing so! Thanks for taking good care of them when I'm working!

Do NOT take your dog here. About two weeks ago I dropped my dog off at daycare for a few hours to play. A few hours later I received a call from my friend telling me that when she went to pick up her dog she saw that my dog was noticeably limping. I rushed to Lucky Paws, and upon arrival saw that he could barely walk. When I asked the staff what happened they couldn't give me a straight answer.
When I asked why they didn't call me right away, they told me they didn't want to upset me so they used their own "judgment call" and "assumed" he was okay. I was outraged, how could an entire staff not realize something was seriously wrong and not have the decency and common sense to call the owner?! I had to find out that my dog was injured from a friend.
The staff didn't even have the curtesy to notify me when it happened. The next day I took him to my veterinarian and after a couple X-rays it was confirmed that my dog had a fractured paw. I understand that accidents happen, and I've tried to be understanding, but the way they handled this was beyond unprofessional and just plain cruel! What really upsets me the most is the fact that they allowed him to run on a fractured paw for hours.
I will never know what truly happened to him that day but I know one thing is for sure, my dog will NEVER go back to this daycare. If you love your dog and you are looking for a safe and humane doggie daycare in the area I would advise you to take your dog anywhere but here!

A couple bad experiences there with taking my lab there. I took her to the pool and a large mastiff kept jumping her. The mastiff was not neutered. My dog was intimidated with this leave dog and was quite uneasy. The next visit was at the day care. She was there an hour when they called me up and said an older terrier mix bit her just missing her eye and to come and get her. They even remarked that my dog just walked past this dog and it just bit her. I haven't been back!

I've taken my dog to 3 different doggie daycare businesses. This place makes the others look like dog prison. Amazing supervision and dogs are screened for their aptitude / positive socialization skills. If you have an active dog, Lucky Paws has nearly an acre of outdoor space that is very well kept.

One visit to see what the place and owners are like. We travel out of town and are looking for a place to leave a cat and a dog for a few days. While there are some feature of the place physically that could be interesting for pets, I realized that we are not anxious to put our pets into this form of group setting. No harm no foul for the establishment but just this pet manager's bias.

Lucky Paws is a great place to bring your furry best friend. Our dog is well cared for there and the facilities, grounds and people are fantastic. The pets that get to come there really are lucky - the special cat area is awesome, and the indoor and outdoor dog play areas look like a lot of fun. Our very active dog comes home and lays around after spending time there and she doesn't pick up any bad habits, which makes us very happy! We've also used the grooming services several times and are very happy with the results. Our dog loves Lucky Paws and so do we!

I have yet to respond on here as it is time consuming, but my experience with this company was poor. They don't answer the PHONES except in the evening. WTH? I left some papers there and needed them to save for me. I really hated that they didn't document our pets vaccinations and fecal records. I had to bring them EACH and every time. Phew! one time my papers got lost in the car and i didn't have them for my vet.
Not only that the girls working the front desk are useless. Ive seen the owners trying to pump up business at local events with free giveaways. Well, this won't work if you suck at business 101 and have no customer service skills. I should have commented earlier. A big problem in the large play area is slippery floors. I know of one lawsuit over a woman falling in the dog day care area.
Then I saw another young women fall trying to catch up with her dog. The floors are a hazard. I hear a lot through word of mouth because I also have a dog business. This place is not convenient, their driveway is narrow and dangerous and sadly no thought was put into floor material and is dangerous for both dog and owner. The owners just don't care! they want money, but don't want to work for it. Summer of 2013 was my final visit. I found better facilities

Wonderful staff and super facilities! They take care of our dog with the same love and attention she would have at home. The daycare is wonderful in all weather conditions. In summer the pool is open and the pups run free with smiles! In the winter they have a large indoor building where staff play all kinds of games with them! The facilities are very clean! I've seen them mop the floors with disinfectant wash and it's wonderfully fresh and clean! I would recommend the hotel and daycare at Lucky Paws to anyone!

Our dog was mauled by a pit bull during supervised play at Lucky Paws. The staff had observed the pit bull behaving oddly the previous day and decided to bring it to "play" with our dog. They thought our our dog was passive and would not provoke the other dog. Although both dogs were on a leash, the staff person did not control the pit bull which immediately grabbed our dog by the neck resulting in deep puncture wounds.
The staff had to throw cold water on the pit bull to get it to release. Although the Lucky Paws staff took our dog for medical care and tried to nurse our dog back to health, by the time we returned from vacation the wound was infected and our dog was a shell of the animal we had left. We took our dog to a vet and after two days in the animal hospital, there was nothing more that the vet could do as our dog was in acute kidney failure.
We had to make the painful choice to put our dog down. Our dog did have a pre existing medical condition and Lucky Paws claimed that our dog would have died anyway and that the death of the dog within a week of the mauling was purely coincidental. Really? We did ask Lucky Paws to reimburse us for the $1400 in vet bills and post mortem services that we incurred.
Rather than do the right thing, Lucky Paws decided to disclaim responsibility. We ended up taking them to court. Lucky Paws brought a lawyer and we did not. Probably our mistake. Their lawyer immediately caste us a amateurs in front of the judge by condescendingly offering his assistance to explain anything about the court proceedings we did not understand.
That was a pretty smart strategy. The Lucky Paws attorney pressed his advantage by chastising us for not bringing in "expert testimony" to prove that the dog bite had caused our dogs death. Of course, we could not prove that and that was not the cause of action. Our cause of action was breach of duty and negligence. The owner of Lucky Paws testified to their sterling reputation and highly trained staff.
Their lawyer also pointed out that we had not disclosed our dogs kidney issues (the dog had been given medication that was inappropriate for her condition after the incident). When I asked the owner about the special food that we had brought with us (Hills Science Diet KD) she told us that she did not know anything about dog food. How convenient that their expert knowledge does not extend to the food that they feed the dogs or she might have known that the "KD" stands for Kidney Disease.
We still thought we had a pretty good case, but the judge inexplicably ruled in their favor. We were given know explanation as the ruling came in the mail several days later. In a way it is probably for the best. If the Lucky Paws and their lawyer had decided to settle with us, we may have had to sign a non disclosure and I would not be able to tell our story. If this review helps save another pet owner from the pain of our experience and loss of their beloved pet, then the money that it cost us is well worth it.

I really like this dog part for my frenchie, who can't be outdoors in the heat without water. While I agree that the owners and staff can be sticklers about the rules, they are not always consistent - and in a professional setting, that is unacceptable. Here's an example: I took my dog there about two weeks ago and just brought the puppy sheet that the vet filled out with his vaccinations.
The first time, it was not problem. The girl at the front desk barely glanced at it and waved us through. Then, I tried to go this weekend, using the same sheet. Apparently the vet I go to didn't update it last time he got his shots - and the girl WOULD NOT let us in, even when I offered to send her photos of his vaccination records when I returned home.
I drove 45 minutes to go to this dog park, and the fact that they weren't wiling to be flexible with me was VERY off-putting. Not to mention, the girl working the front desk was not very friendly. I would not own such a high maintenance breed and not be a responsible dog owner and vaccinate my dog! And it's even more frustrating that they didn't enforce the rules the first time, but did the second time. I think they need to have a better system for keeping records of dogs' vaccination records - it's crazy to have to bring paperwork every time.

This place was pretty lame. We were visiting the area from out of town and found it on BringFido.com. The website made it look really cool, like there's a ton to do. The outdoors portion was pretty much just the pool (which was nice), a wooden platform/ramp, and a tunnel through a little mountain thing. The indoor part had a little Fisher Price jungle gym, but that was it.
The worst part of this experience was the staff. I echo one of the other reviews here that they're total weirdos about their rules, rules, rules. Like bootcamp. The receptionist was cold and off putting, and when we left, downright rude. My husband accidentally used a restricted door, and she chewed him out in front of other guests. "It's your first time, so I'll let you go this time." Gee thanks! Like I'm paying $10 to use you crap facility again anyway.
