First of all they advertise and have birds in the store that they refuse to sell secondly their prices are so so very high they want $349 for a bird that's listed no higher than 250 and then they don't want to sell it to you if you did want to buy it poorly run business

While me my mom and friend was looking around the store the two employees was talking bad about a colored woman who just got done checking out and leaving the place. Every time I walk into the store I always get bad vibes. The birds are very beautiful though. I don't know if I want to keep coming here.

I bring my green cheek conure here for boarding when I'm out of town for work. I have peace of mind knowing she is very well taken care of here and she's always in a good mood when I pick her up. The staff is very kind and I have developed a great relationship with them over the years.

They have a great selection of toys, treats and more. They even had the same swing that my Senegal parrot is in love with but i hadn't been able to find another. I enjoyed my experience and I think my birds will love the things we got them.

We were looking for a cockatiel. Left name and number to be called when The Bird Shoppe had one. We were told that once cockatiel was born, we would be able to visit baby bird as often as we wanted. To bond with it before we brought it home. We were glad to do business with The Bird Shoppe. That was back in August or September. We eagerly awaited our bird.

Finally we were told we could expect a baby bird in late November-early December. Husband called today and was told there was one baby that had already been sold. I called and was told there were no cockatiels, until I divulged that my husband had just been told there was that one. Now The Bird Shoppe tells me that they will not have more cockatiels until early Spring as some of the babies that were born (were not healthy and one died?) The Bird Shoppe could have kept us informed but did not. Not a good way to treat customers. I wonder why The Bird Shoppe (except Bernice) did not take us seriously enough as customers to treat us better.

Upon walking into The Bird Shoppe, I was greeted by many large parrots saying "Hello!" Which was adorable and instantly made me smile. I went to see what sort of bird supplies I could find for a good deal (I have a flock at home) but ended up bringing a budgie home as well! She interacted with me through the cage and I could tell she wanted to sit on my finger.

I spent a good deal of time with her, walked around, came back to her to see if she was sure about wanting to interact with me. Every time I came back around she came right to me and gave my finger kisses and tried to perch on me. I wanted to call up there and thank them for the budgie, the others were quite fearful so I wasn't sure why this particular one was so nice, but I decided to write a review instead. Hopefully Anne sees this.

My husband is the one who called up there about Button Quail. Anne was so nice on the phone that I decided "I should give her some business" Now here I am, writing a review. Since my new budgie has been home she has been such a treat. Me and her really have a connection as silly as that sounds. She's kind natured and will sit with my husband for a few moments but she genuinely prefers me, even flies to me from across the room, gives kisses, then carries on with playing. I've named her Kiwi. Thanks again, Anne. And to the woman who checked me out, thanks for the cuttlebones!

The birds are beautiful and outstanding. Unfortunately the staff there was very unmotivated to help. After walking around the whole store someone finally asked us if we needed help. I proceeded to tell the person at the counter that my family was looking to adopt a new bird and all she did was nod her head and keep talking to the other lady at the front. Didnt even bother to ask me any question or even bother to explain the adoption process. Not sure if i will return or not.

I love The Bird Shoppe! It's conveniently located and they always have fun toys and healthy food and treat options, not to mention the beautiful and friendly birds on the floor (even feisty little Reba). When I got my Pacific Parrotlet this summer, I went to the Shoppe asking for diet advice because I found so much conflicting information online. The woman I spoke with (I believe it was Jean) was so knowledgeable and eager to help.

She gave me samples of 2 different types of pellets to introduce to her diet, a list of healthy foods and avian vets in the area, and helped me with some tips to get around the cage aggression my bird was experiencing. Six months later, I have a very happy and healthy bird (see the attached image), and much of that is due to this wonderful place!

I have had my parrot for 30 years. This is the only place where I can go out of town and leave my bird under the care of professionals. I have left him there many times It is much easier to leave him there, with other birds that he can enjoy seeing and hearing. When a bird lives with people always, they become accustomed to our way of life. This reminds him that he is a bird and the things we teach our bird (s).

Of course, he is always glad to see me when I get home to pick him up. I also highly recommend the services of claw, wing and beak trimming. It comes at a reasonable price but, He is not upset with me over what, to a bird must be scarry. He always knows I will be back and the people who work there really care about the birds under their care. It is like a vacation for him as well.

If you have never seen exotic birds this is like going to a Zoo. You will see species in this store that you won't see anywhere but in a picture. These are great pets if you are able to care for a bird. They can be a lot of work but the payout is worth it. If you don't buy a bird you can adopt then get the care through this wonderful shop.

They sell everything you may need for your bird(s) and they are always full of great advice and the store is almost always stocked with what you may need for your bird(s) no matter the breed or type of bird you have.

I have been a customer since I adopted my cockatiel here as a hatchling about 7 months ago. Here is my honest review after purchasing supplies, having my bird groomed, and boarded: The amount of variety that the shoppe has a good amount of supplies for pet birds and is good quality. The reason that this establishment has earned a low review from me is due to the experience I had boarding my cockatiel.

I was gone for a week and asked for her to be groomed during her stay. I picked her up and paid, everything was great until I got home and realized that there was dried blood under not one, but both of her wings. I contacted my vet who recommended that I bring her in to get it looked at immediately and after stopping the small spot that was still actively bleeding, he said that he did not know why she bled as much as she did.

He said there were no broken blood feathers and advised me to return to the shoppe and speak with the owner, and to keep an eye on her for more bleeding. I returned to The Bird Shoppe the next day to speak with the owner, Anne. And it was a highly frustrating experience. She patronized me and spoke in a manner that made it sound like I had absolutely no clue what I was talking about.

From the photo that I added, you can clearly see some sort of abrasion on the row of feathers above her primary flight feathers. Anne insisted that the blood on the bottom was from a blood feather (which my vet said there were none of) and ignored my concern about the other injury, dismissing it to a 'night scare'. In my opinion, if you zoom in on that area of the wing, it looks like a cut from a pair of scissors (when she was getting groomed).

I asked Anne, if it was a night scare then why is it on both wings? There is absolutely no way she cut both of her wings to make them bleed the way she did in her cage, which is designed to keep her safe. I also asked her why I was never called, and never informed that my animal was sitting in her cage bleeding and in pain as a result of their care.

She said that no one probably noticed. I asked why no one would have noticed if she was checked on regularly (which is the very minimum compared to the quality of care that is advertised on their website), and she said that she was never taken out of her cage. I was asked in a snarky tone, "well what do you want me to do besides apologize?" And I spoke honestly and said that I believe that I should be compensated for my vet expenses as it was an expense that I should not have had to pay.

She never verbally admitted fault, but paid me back for the vet bill. She knew that her business was in the wrong and that is the reason she paid me back, she just didn't want to admit it. She gave me the money in cash and never apologized for the incident. I will continue buying food from here, but NEVER will I board her here again.

One of the coolest stores for everything birds ever! The place is super clean. It's always packed with birds (for sale and being boarded). They have a ton of seed choices, cages, cage options, toys, perches, and much much more. And, they're always nice and it looks like they take care of all the birds exceptionally well. Way neat place!

Good store for your bird needs. They didn't have many on the floor though. They told me it was because of the season though. The lady behind the counter was friendly and gave me good information. I plan to come back more for my birds needs.

This place is, in a word, possibly the happiest place in Cincinnati. I know there are other bird shops up around Dayton and such, but even if you're not local to Cincy, it's worth the drive. I'm telling you, The Bird Shoppe runs circles around these other places. Like blows them out of the water. I got my little cockatiel and GC conure there.

They are both so sweet and smart, & the cockatiel is my soulmate. He's also a talker, and prolific musical composer. He's a GENIUS. Our conure is also a cool chap; he's my son's bird. The reason these birds are so great? The wonderful ladies and gentlemen of The Bird Shoppe A lot of places will tell you "Of course we hand-feed our birds!" and "Of course you can come in and see them whenever you want!" and "Of course we don't overbreed to the point where you'll be receiving an unhealthy Hapsburg parrot!"--but they're not being truthful with you.

But here, it is true. All the ladies of T.B.S. are saints, Anne, Beth, Paula, absolutely everyone. They are so full of knowledge & suggestions. I spent a summer pestering them with questions, & they always helped. And Joe and his birds are legendary. Try to meet Elvis or Hannibal--absolutely hilarious. They have a ton of food in stock, and toys, perches, and sometimes cages for sale as well.

Even if you've no plans to adopt a bird from them, but have a bird of your own, you should definitely visit. They've given me great advice about rescues and fosters, too. This review is long, but they deserve all the praise in the world, so

Stopped in thinking that they had bird food to buy for our backyard bird feeder. But was surprised that this was a wonderful world of exotic totally beautiful birds. When you walk in you are not geated by the workers but by the bird's. "Hello" said the bird. And they are fond on themselves said " pretty bird" speaking proudly of him or her. The workers are also very nice. They offer baby sitting and have a nursery. A top notch one of a kind place. A must place to just stop by and enjoy.

Allergic to cats and dogs but always wanted something to keep you company? Why not try a bird. The Bird Shoppe is the best place in the tri-state area hands down. They have many birds to choose from. Parakeets, Cockatiels, lovebirds, parrolets, cockatoos, sun conures, black cap conures, crimson bellied conures, myers and so on and so forth. If the type of birdie your looking for is not in the store there is a waiting list.

When that type of bird becomes available she will call ya! Well if you already have a feathered friend(s) they have every single supply you would ever need! Seed, Lots of seed. Seed for every bird from a large macaw to the pretty singing canary. They also have nuts in shell and unshelled. They have dried fruits and veggies to keep your birdies healthy and happy!

If you need a toy to keep your birdie happy they have four whole walls full of toys. Shredders, wood toys, ladders, bells and foot toys to just name a very few available at a very reasonable price. They also have cages for every size bird you would need. If they dont have one they can tell you where or order you one. Dog sitters and cat sitters are always easy to find.

No one minds watching over your fluffy little friend while your away but who could you find to take care of your feathered friend, No one huh? Well the bird shoppe offers a "hotel" for your friend! Make sure you call ahead of time and let them know when you will want to have your bird there. Space is limited during the spring and summer time. Holidays also tend to be busy.

The bird shoppe also offers grooming. Yes, birds need groomed too. The shoppe offers grooming from Wednesday: 1 PM - 7:30 PM, Thursday: 1 PM - 7:30 PM and Saturday: 1PM - 5:00PM (Call Ahead) The staff is incredible! If you have a question they have an answer. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. Go on in and check it out. Even if your not looking for a bird go in and check them out. They are beautiful, you may even fall in love with one!

This the the best place to get your bird supplies and is a great option to other generalized pet stores. They focus only on companion birds. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about different questions you may have on your feathered friend. They also hand raise a lot of the birds they sell here, so they tend to be friendlier than ones bought at other pet stores.

They have a huge selection of toys, cages, seed, food, and other items for your birds. The prices are fair and sometimes even are lower than other stores in the area. If you have your heart set on a particular breed of bird, then this is the place to go. They can find the one just for you.

Are you one of those creepy people that thinks birds are real pets and wants a place that sells everything for your special friend that will most likely outlive you and have to be pawned off on some poor unsuspecting family member in your will? Then this place is totally for you. While looking for unique bird feeders I accidentally stumbled in here. No bird feeders. Just birds and every supply you could need or want for your cold, unfluffy pet.

If you are not a cat or dog person, perhaps you might consider getting a bird. The Bird Shoppe in Fairfield is a really neat store with all kinds of cool birds and related supplies, although I could never work there with the constant noise coming from the birds. They had a lot of neat parrots ranging from the tiny lovebird to the spunky cockatoo to the to the pretty blue-and-gold macaw.

While the lovebirds are just $99 per bird, some of the other birds were more expensive like the sun conures ($399), ringnecks ($399 or $699), and one that was even $1499.99. Aside from the birds themselves, the Bird Shoppe offers a lot of other bird products and services. They have a ton of toys, foods/treats, and cages, as well as perches, cleaning supplies, and carriers, among other things.

As far as services, they have a room in the back called the "hotel, " which is a bird sitting room, while they also have a large nursery and offer grooming from 1-7 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Bird Shoppe even offers DNA testing for $37.50 to determine the gender of your feathered friends. I also found the staff to be friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I'd definitely suggest coming out to The Bird Shoppe if you are looking for a bird or supplies, but if you aren't it's still fun just to come in to look at the cool birds if you are in the area.
