The staff at Sandy Paws are professional, friendly, and courteous. I'm very happy with their groomer, Terry! She does an excellent job!

Sandy Paws offers full services and products for dogs. I am always pleased with the grooming my Bichon/poodle receives. Along with that, the owner and staff are friendly, accommodating and love what they do.

I love Sandy paws! Sue does an amazing job with Newman and his nails. She is the ONLY one who can get them clipped and use the dremmel machine. We also give him a bath and buy him treats there.

This review is not about how many stars I would give but rather my take on the owner and staff. I just wanted to post it since I thought some others were a little harsh with their reviews I was looking for a place for my dogs to go on Daycare. I was told there was a waiting list of 2 or more months. When I made a visit to their facility I spent about 1/2 hour with Jamie and got a full tour of the facility which was decent size and very clean.

I understand now that the wait time is because "they don't lose any customers" Everyone I met was courteous and knowledgeable. I also know many people who go there and also recommend. when the time comes I will not hesitate to bring my dogs there. Jeff Brown

My pug absolutely loves going to his 1/2 day daycare 3 times a week. He also loves the people that work there. In the morning if i say "time for daycare" he goes bonkers. The people that work here are the best and Amanda keeps it all running smoothly.

Always a pleasant and professional experience. My groomer always does an excellent job they give me the same person all the time. A great job very happy. Everything is like it should be. perfect.

The people at Sandy Paws always take very good care of Bailey! They are always kind and friendly, and take care to provide great service and balance for the come-and-go of different pets/clients. And Sue is just wonderful. She's been helping us out with Bailey's nail trims for years. Bailey is not the best client, but Sue is patient and kind, and accommodates his anxiety. We are grateful and lucky to have such a level of service available to us here in Winthrop.

I wish I could give NO stars! My beautiful, well-groomed, well maintained, pampered La-chon went in for a groom. Once I got home, I noticed the chop job on her ears and snout. It took management a day or two to get back to me. I was told the "groomer" Fatima said that my dog was knotted and matted. I guess she really had nothing else to say to justify her terrible workmanship.

My dog has been getting groomed since she was 4 months old. Every 4-5 weeks, she goes in for upkeep. Her coat is perfect and silk like smooth. Fatima first stated that my dog was wiggling too much. Again, she's been groomed since 4 months old. She's used to it. Once I informed them of that, the next response was that she was so poorly matted and knotted.

I asked for a refund at which I was refused. Management is awful; she doesn't really know what good business is. The pictures speak for themselves here. Please Please reconsider going to this establishment. Terrible workmanship: management doesn't care about their client's, nor their reputation either. If after reading all this and you do decide to go, definitely look at your animal before you pay & tip! Good Luck

Absolutely Horrible Experience! My beautiful baby Pebbles was terribly chopped, and unevenly cut. Her snout was butchered. When I asked to speak with management, at first I was told it was because my dog was so wiggly. At which I informed them she gets groomed every 4-5 weeks, and no one ever told me that. Then she said that the "groomer" Fatima said she was badly knotted and matted.

My dog is combed out ever, single day, just IMPOSSIBLE! All excuses for terrible workmanship. People should have pride in their work & management should care about their clients, and reputation. Would Never & Could Never recommend this establishment to anyone. Just wish I could post the nightmare pictures for all to see. Think Twice

Love Sandy Paws! The staff is super and well informed. Susan does a great job grooming our 8 month old mini Bernedoodle. She's worked with her to get accustomed to the entire process. Above and beyond that, Roxy looks (and smells) beautiful! Thank you all for contributing to her development!

Brought my Frenchie in, who wasn't very cooperative when getting his nails done. The groomer was great. She was gentle but fast and did a great job filing his claws down.

This is the only place I trust with my puppy other than my parent's house. They are animal lovers to the core. I come to them for grooming and boarding. I wish I lived closer so I could do day care too. I have heard wonderful things about their trainers from family (yes the whole family goes here!)

My dog Bentley goes here for both daycare and grooming and he loves it. He literally runs in when I bring him. The staff are amazing - it's like a family there.

Buddy is a tough dog. We should have named him napoleon lol. They always do an excellent job with him!

Always great to take my dog in gets a bath and her nails clipped. Great spot to pick up treats and toys for your animals also.

I have a doodle with separation anxiety. The team was very understanding and did a beautiful, professional job in 2 hours. I appreciate that they minimize the amount of time the dog was there! The spa was very clean and the people were welcoming. So glad to have found our new grooming spot!

My fog has been groomed at Sandy Paws for years. She is comfortable there, does not hesitate to enter, loves her groomer and always is ready on time. A wonderful full/service canine business!

My pup is groomed every other week. She's always very happy to walk in the door get pampered. I find all the people they are very professional, kind and gentle.

Excellent place. The people are very accommodating and helpful. I have been taking Rhaegar there for a while. He is 110lb Shepherd mix and looks great every time. I would recommend them to everyone.

You care about your dog just like a child. So to have your dog treated or cared for you would only want the BEST! People that will care as much as you for the time you pet may be here at Sandy Paws! And I can assure you they are the best! With haircuts to boarding your dog sandy paws does it all!

I have been lucky to find this gem of a business. They are always super friendly and accommodating. Kerry is my little dog's groomer and she is a doll, not to mention she does a great job and treats my dog like she was her own! Definitely recommend this Winthrop Gem!

Very friendly staff that treat your pet as if it was their own. Quick service. Great haircut just the way I wanted. Reasonable prices I've paid more at other places and have gotten less.

Always 5 stars! Great service, quality grooming and always helpful. A great local business. It is so difficult to find a groomer for an old English sheep dog, but Amanda and her team always groom Sinbad impeccably. Awesome doggy day care and boarding too.

Great facility and great people. Significant upgrade from my former groomer. Price is in line with what I would expect to pay and very satisfied with the work done.

When it comes to boarding our two little Brussels Griffons, the only place we turn to and trust is Sandy Paws. They're an amazing group of people so I know the dogs are being very well taken care of and loved every minute we are apart. It makes for a stress-free and worry-free time away.

I have an elderly (16 year old) Yorkie who resolutely hates going to the groomer's, but Sandy Paws has kept the excursion as pain-free as possible for the two visits we have had there. They are reasonably priced but do a great job providing a professional, attractive cut with the nice little extras (oatmeal bath, sparkly bow) and my pup has been in and out in under 2 hours, which helps to limit her anxiety about being away for too long. We will keep going for routine grooming.

They do a great job and care about your pets. We take our corgi there every couple of months for some pampering and he always comes back looking so good and clean. The staff are all pleasant and good animal people.

I take my 11 year old pup here for self grooming and it's the best! She's a big girl (60lbs) and they have a giant tub that works perfectly. Their products are extremely dog friendly (she's never itchy afterwards), and they smell great! Love the giant leaf blower/hair dryer they have because my dog needs it. Everyone working there is super friendly and the space is extremely clean :)

We love Sandy Paws! I bring my dog Bruce for a daycare a couple of days per week. The staff is extremely attentive and always lets me know how the day went. He's a bit over active and curious, so is a handful, but he's progressed and settled in really well with the team and other dogs there. I appreciate Jamie's advice and updates as a trainer for what behaviors to look out for and work on with him outside of daycare.

The folks at Sandy paws have even gone out of their way to include special items for Bruce in their orders for the store that we can't find elsewhere. They've been a huge asset to my experience as a relatively new dog owner. Thank you!

Sandy paws is great for all your dog care, food, treats and grooming needs. The staff are all so welcoming and treat each dog like it's their own pet. The Groomers are all skilled and caring. We have been going to Sue for years. She is absolutely amazing Out shih tzus get really stressed with grooming but thanks to Sue, grooming time has become a much easier and less stressful process for our dogs. Highly recommend Sue.

This place is amazing. I have been coming here for about 2 years now. The staff is extremely friendly and Sue always gives my dog the perfect cut. I have a Yorkie mix and he is very difficult to get to the groomer sometimes but she's very patient with him. I would recommend this place to everyone.

They did a great job boarding our pup who gets anxiety and his very high energy and strong!

The first time I went to Sandy Paws I was so happy with their service. I was recommending it to friends and I appreciated that they allowed me to step out and take care of a few things. This week my appointment was cancelled 1 hour before and was told that he could be taken care of in an hour another day. On the day of his next appointment and after the service was completed they ended up cutting his hair way shorter than we agreed.

I had purposefully brushed his hair twice this week to ensure he didn't have any knots and he didn't end up the way he did. I became even more upset when I realized the cut was completely uneven. Attached are images. I also have images of what he looked prior to the cut. Before the appointment I let them know I only had an hour and that that's what I was told over the phone before the service started. It would be unacceptable to assume the quality provided would be excused because they felt rushed. Extremely disappointing.
