I would love to leave a detailed review of Walkies, but unfortunately, I called them over a week ago and no one ever called me back. I don't think I would trust anyone that doesn't return calls with my pet. Thanks for nothing. Update: Wow! So, I thought the purpose of Yelp was to post reviews based on one's experience with a particular business. Okay, so, I did that with Walkies and now I'm accused by the owner of being committed to lowering their rating!

I guess I should apologize for being honest. I must admit, it's pretty ironic that the owner of Walkies had time to sit down and critique my review of her business which probably took about a thousand more keystrokes than simply returning my telephone call over a week ago. Then, instead of trying to rectify the issue, she tells me flat out she will NEVER return my call. lol. You deserve the 1-star rating I gave you, lady.

We had a great experience with the Walkies team this past week when we needed someone to walk our dog mid-day. Sarah Blake, the operations manager, responded to my email within an hour and just as quickly got me set up with an account and dog walker. The setup process was seamless and our meet and greet was quick yet thorough enough to ensure peace of mind that there wouldn't be any issues. Emily Kimble, our dog walker, was so great with our pup!

Our lab can be hard to please, slow to warm up to strangers and sometimes just a handful, but he and Emily got along very well. We received an update from Emily as soon as they were done walking and she even brought some packages in for us that had been delivered. Even though walks are scheduled in a time window (only for non-monthly clients), Emily was able to provide a more precise time for the visit which made it easier to plan when to be back home in the evening. We will definitely use Walkies in the future and can't thank the team enough for making the process so easy!

Never had an issue with their cat sitting service over the past 3 years. Every sitter that I have had has been attentive and solid.

Very surprised I haven't left a review. I've used Walkies since around 2016 and have had 3 cat sitters. They were all really wonderful. Every time I got back from vacation, her food bowl was filled to the brim and the litterbox was cleaned. Every sitter sent me photos and messages every day to let me know my cat was good. Additionally, Sarah the operations manager is very responsive and gets back to you really fast. This business is very well-run.

Wow! As a fellow dog walker, I can't believe that some have given you bad reviews because they were not hired. I think that sheds some light on their character, and you obviously made a careful and correct decision. I am giving you a 5 star rating to hopefully offset that.

Things I love: -My dog, skeptical of new people, is assigned ONE walker that he's been able to develop a very positive relationship with -Said walker sends me updates on every walk, is responsive with texts and communicates her off-days wonderfully -If my walker is unavailable, I am able to do a meet-and-greet with the substitute walker prior to that walk -Sarah, the director of operations, is absolutely wonderful, responsive, and pleasant to communicate with This is a GREAT service with very awesome people employed there. I'm very grateful.

I'm so glad I found walkies! I have a cat and tend to travel often these days, and both Dan and Ann Marie are excellent about checking up on Xena the warrior princess they provide comprehensive updates during their visit with Xena, are very responsive and communicative about my questions and concerns, and all very knowledgable about pets which brings me peace of mind because I know I can trust them.

They have also been extremely accommodating and flexible with some last minute requests, which i really appreciate! I highly recommend walkies for all your pet needs! Special shoutout to Dan and Ann Marie - xena and I are grateful for you!

Way to expensive! -Hiring process is ridiculous! Some of the sitters don't watch the pets for the full-time paid.

I absolutely love Walkies! We never have to worry about our dogs or our home when I know a sitter is coming. They're on time, professional and super friendly awesome dog people. We book them super frequently and the manager, Sarah, always makes sure we're accommodated. I don't trust anyone else with my pups!

I've known the owner, Andrea for over 20 years and she is dedicated to animals. She rubs a wonderful business and I can recommend her enough.

I have been using Walkies since 2013 as I travel every week for work. I would never trust any other company with my dogs as Andrea's sitters and walkers are top notch. I am always notified when the walkers have left my home and how my pooches are. I have had several of her employees walk my dogs and every one of them have treated both my house and dogs like it was there.

It takes a lot for someone to watch your house and pets while you are away.and this is definitely the right company that hires only the best of the best to walk/stay with pets! Thanks Andrea for all of the hard work you have done and keeping my dogs safe for years!

Walkies and The Cat Peeps is seriously the best. I have Meg watch my two cats whenever we go out of town and she always stays in touch and sends me pictures of the cats while we are gone to let us know that they are safe and sound. They are seriously the best - I would definitely recommend them for any dog or cat sitting services!

I can not say enough about Walkies! My wife and I took our first vacation away from our kitties and our sitter Sara was great! She was on time, professional, and followed my neurotic instructions for our four cats without batting an eye. She sent texts after each visit (with pics), which was great for my peace of mind, as it was our first time using a pet sitter.

I cannot give Walkies enough stars. My 1 yr old pup gets lots of anxiety when being around new people and Meg is just absolutely wonderful w him and I. I always receive a text after my pup's walk. Sarah the scheduler responds quickly and is very accommodating. There are so many dog walking companies in northern liberties / old city /fishtown and I have read countless reviews on them and I am so glad I went with Walkies!

Walkies has made such a difference for my pup and I! He had a regular walker previously and then I went through 3 other walkers and walking services until I found Walkies! I love that my pup has an assigned walker who got to know him and truly cares about him. His walker is Jenna and she is very sweet! She also sends me text updates letting me know how their walk went that day.

I don't have to worry at all about rushing home after work or how my pup is doing during the day because of Walkies (THANK YOU!). The prices are very reasonable and totally worth it! They are also super convenient with scheduling and making payments. So happy to have found Walkies!

I have been using Walkies for more than a year, but just occasionally, as needed. They have always been able to accommodate my needs, even on short notice. I appreciate the texts from the walkers and feel 100% confident in their services. Definitely a 5-star service!

Walkies is seriously the best of the best! We have used them in the past when our dog was a puppy and I knew they were great, but this most recent experience really took the cake! My husband and I just came back from a 5 day vacation, during which we used Walkies' services to stay overnight with our dog and cat. Our sitter was Jenna, who went above and beyond to make sure that everything at home was taken care of in our absence. It's always really hard to leave your pets at home when traveling.

Our dog, Cash, is used to having someone with him almost all day every day, so I felt terrible leaving him behind while we left to have fun. I told Jenna about my apprehensions and in return she updated me several times every day to ensure I had peace of mind while away. She sent us pictures, texted daily updates including potty breaks and long walks.

She even stayed at our house on the last day to have dinner with Cashy when we told her our flight got in super late. She told us that she "didn't want him to have to be alone too long". This is music to a pet owners ears! Finally, someone who loves my furry babies as much as I do! In addition to being a wonderful sitter she also kept our house super tidy.

All the mail was perfectly in a pile when we got home, floors were cleaned and the guest room looked like no one had even been there. Jenna and Walkies truly made our vacation SO much better by making it possible to relax because we knew someone was always there for Cash and Thaddeus. I will absolutely use Walkies in the future for walks and overnight stays and would recommend them to anyone ever looking for in home pet care.

Walkies is worth every penny! When my husband and I adopted our retired racing greyhound, Pepper, we knew she would be left alone for longer than we wanted while we were both at work. I met Andrea (the owner) previously and began using Walkies in December of 2013. We started out using the service sporadically when I was working from home. We would eventually use Walkies full time when my work hours changed.

We had several walkers throughout our time with Walkies, though the same person usually walked Pepper each day. Whenever a new walker was introduced into the mix, he or she came to the house to meet us and Pepper first. I cannot say enough good things about Walkies and their walkers. All of their employees are competent, trustworthy, caring, and truly love animals.

Each walker always gave me a daily update after the walk was complete, sometimes with pictures! Andrea is so flexible and an excellent communicator. I never hesitated to ask questions or adjust our service as our situation changed. When Pepper broke her foot a few weeks ago, Andrea even offered to switch our walker to someone with veterinary tech experience while Pep was in a cast. I would recommend Walkies without reservation to anyone who needs help giving their pets the love and attention they need!

Let me start off by saying, Walkies is the absolute best! The overnight service is the most convenient thing I could ever imagine - having just taken advantage of this for the first time, my pet sitter Sarah gave me the easiest and most stress-free "out of town" experience that I have EVER had! As a former client of the Philly Pet Hotel (still love them!), I recently moved to Fishtown and no longer have a car.

It is such a relief and amazing convenience to know that my dog son is being taken care of in my absence in the comfort of our own home! Sarah and business owner Andrea are both a joy to work with. Could not recommend enough!

Walkies is the BEST, BEST, BEST! We contacted walkies when we adopted a 2 month old westie puppy and quickly realized we would need an extra set of hands to help us out during the day! Val came to our house for a meet and greet. She met our 2 dogs and 2 cats, asked lots and questions and took notes - major plus she didn't get scared when our new crazy puppy pooped on the floor right in front of her :! Val has made such a difference in keeping the dogs on a set routine during the week!

She even housesat/puppysat for us while we were getting married in Jamaica - it put us at ease to know that she was with the guys giving them lots of treats and love. My husband can be a worrier and Val always keeps him calm with texts when needed! Walkies is flexible and reliable - wish I could give more than 5 stars!

The best and most affordable walker in town! They care about my boy, care about the apt and care about us. We even let them pet boarding for our little guy for 3 days/nights. 100% trusted.

I could not live without Walkies. The owner, Andrea is just about the sweetest and most caring person I've ever met. I've been using her services for just about a year, and even with short notice I'm always able to get a sitter. Sara and Chris have taken care of our beloved cats and have been wonderful! Daily texts with photos and a little summary of their visit is so appreciated when I'm away from my boys.

I am currently fostering a pitbull and emailed Andrea in a panic when my cats weren't getting along. She gave wonderful advice and after just a few days everyone is living in harmony. Highly, highly recommended. You can tell Andrea and all the sitters are true animal lovers and really take great pride in the care they give to pets.

We've been using Walkies and their expert pet services for years now. Our pitbull Gracie is super excited and loves the visits by her friend Andrea. Walkies has always been very accommodating with our schedule needs. Walkies is go-to for the best in pet care in the Philly area!

I couldn't live without Walkies. I have multiple pets (2 dogs, 3 cats) and 2 of the 5 have very special needs. Before I hired Walkies, I was a total mess when I went away. The anxiety was so bad- I could barely enjoy my trip- and that's no way to live. Since I hired Walkies, the worries are all gone! I use their wide variety of services; daily walks for the pups, cat sitting and overnights.

They even give my diabetic cat her insulin injections! I find the scheduling super-easy and the staff is very professional. The best news is, when I go away, I never give the pets a second thought- they are in the best possible hands, other than my own! I think my babies love Walkies just as much as I do!
