Dworkis saved my dog's life. A few weeks ago my dog Riley suddenly became very ill and was vomiting profusely. During this time he was unable to keep any food down. Riley has been to Dworkis several times before and just three weeks prior he had a clean bill of health at his last visit. So when Riley became suddenly ill there was cause for concern.
We took Riley to Dworkis and we discovered he had something stuck in his small intestine. Dworkis ran all sorts of tests and discovered that Riley swallowed a foreign object which caused him to vomit and become ill. From the time of his diagnosis to the time of treatment was no short of 48 hours. Riley required surgery to remove the object from his stomach, or the object could rupture his intestines and cause him grave injury. Dr. Sahota who was assisted by a technician named Jenna both came in the very next day to perform surgery on Riley to remove the foreign object. Additionally, Jenna also came in over the weekend to monitor Riley and ensure his recovery.
They stated they love Riley just as much as we do, and they were invested in his health. They both went above and beyond for us to save our dog's life. Now Riley is back to normal, almost fully recovered, and in near-perfect health. If Dr. Sahota and Jenna didn't act quickly Riley would have surely died. Now Riley gets to continue to live out the rest of his life, and I am grateful for the professionalism, and expediency of this office. I cannot recommend Dworkis enough, and we will continue to use Dworkis for all of our dogs and pet needs.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Have been taking my dog here for the past few years for boarding and routine vet care and haven't had any issues up until now. Called to schedule boarding and was informed they are not offering it now due to not having a enough staff members so I requested a copy of my dog vaccination record so I can schedule her at another facility.
On 8/18 the receptionist said she would email them to me within 30 minutes, never received them. Called again on 8/19 and 8/20 and requested they be sent again and never got anything. After 3 failed attempts by phone I drove to the office on 8/30 and the doors were locked and voicemail said they were closed even though their Covid business hours posted on door said they are open 9am-5pm. Called this morning 8/31 and got the same voicemail saying the office was closed.
I understand you might be short staffed but this no way to run a business. Very disappointed and frustrated that I can't get access to my dog records and will not be using them for any of our pet care needs in the future.

I have been coming to this place for about 15 years and today is the day I plan not to return. The system was down to process payment, they wanted to unsecurely write my credit card number on a piece of paper. I said I did not feel comfortable and feel free to bill me, call me when the system is back up for payment, or I can return with a check tomorrow.
The manager told staff for me to go to an ATM and leave my dog there like a ransom! WTH, i'm not leaving my dog to go to an ATM and pay fees during rush hour! They should have informed me before my appointment or when I walked in for service regarding their current payment status. On top of everything else mentioned once I paid they had the nerve to say I could not get an invoice because of the system or any certification for the vaccinations I spent over $200.
This place should be ashame of themselves, they are overpriced, never smell clean, and have a high turnover. If I did leave my credit card number there would be no proof of service for me in hand. You guys want the consumer to trust you but you don't want to trust the consumer. Just terrible terrible practices! Totally left feeling unvalued as a loyal customer! Despite their high prices I did not want to change where I been going but today it stops!

I took my pup for for a grooming and what I thought was his last shots (I was told it would be by the technician when I made the appointment). When I dropped him off I was informed of how much it would cost and again informed that this was his last set of shots. Then when he was ready I got a call saying that they only gave him a few shots and that he was only 3 months and 2 weeks old.
I said no he's 15 weeks and will be 16 weeks on Sunday. I said his Birthday is August 30th the guy on the phone said well our computer pulls that as 3 months and 2 weeks. I said how when today is December 18th. Then I was put on the phone with the vet who explained that they just thought it best not to give him his last set. I'm extremely angry because I should have received a phone call before they just decided what set of shots my puppy will get especially when he's old enough to have his final set and when I was informed of something completely different when I scheduled his appointment and dropped him off.
I may not have had a problem with this but no one called to give me the option. I think the staff is nice and everyone has been extremely kind. But this has left a very sour taste in my mouth and because of that I will not be returning. Clients should be made aware of what's going on with their pet before decisions are made on the behalf of the customer.

During COVID, it was extremely hard to get a basic appointment for our cats with Humane (understandably swamped). But Dworkis Dog and Cat Hospital was available for appointments immediately and made the process very smooth and effortless, their staff was great. Our cat had a weird spot on his ear and they were able to take us the next day. We were very grateful they could take us so quickly and would definitely recommend!

We had made appointments for our new puppy and our older dog to be seen at 4:30, we called to cancel the puppy visit realizing he could get his shots when he was neutered. They were very rude and said well you can come in at 5:00 then! I guess she was trying to penalize me by changing the time! Will never go there again! No one wants to deal with rudeness when you are trying to bring in a sick dog and you're already stressed! Also they have a very low rating!

I rarely write reviews on google but I had terrible experiences with them that I would not want happening to someone else. 1) My puppy Kaiya got spayed with them on a Friday and that night she bled through 2 towels and I ended up taking her to the emergency vet and they weren't sure it was Bc of internal bleeding and it would cost more than 3000 to open her up again but i could wait to talk to dworkis in the morning.
When i called them at 8am and mentioned to the receptionist she said the earliest they could see my puppy was a week from then. i was like ummm do you want my puppy to bleed to death by then? And then she said ok i guess I'll call the owner and see what we can do. My concern is why would a surgery be scheduled on a Friday when there is no one to give post operative care the next day IF complications occur.the owner got in touch with me (thankfully) and they kept my puppy for observation for 2-3 hours but ended up paying $200 (or maybe more).
I made an appointment and took her back to get her stitches out but they said it wasn't completely healed and to come back in 5 days. I made an appointment again and went back and they said oh she's fine, the stitches don't need to be removed anymore. Ummm what?! We were so confused as to what the miscommunication was it irritated me that i wasted time on my end when there's so much miscommunication between the vets/technician/receptionist. 2) I boarded two of my dogs on Friday and told the receptionist that i would pick them up on Saturday at 4:30pm.
They said okay and brought out paperwork for me to sign and there was a slot in there for pick up time and day and i wrote in the exact time and date. The guy who waited for me to sign told me they close at 2pm but there would be someone till 6pm so i could pick up my dogs then. I came a little earlier around 2:30pm to pick them up and the parking lot was EMPTY, doors locked. no one was there.
I called and called and called.no one picked up. I knocked on the door.the whole place is closed. Where are my dogs? There were absolutely no one at the place. I thought maybe someone will be back by 4:30pm so i called at 4pm (no one picked up) and then went back there again at 4:30pm. No one was at the parking lot. Called their phones several times (couldn't leave a message since their voice mailbox is full. also wrong office hours on the voicemail and website) and i also called the emergency referral numbers they have on their voicemail to see if someone could get in touch with the owner.
I was sooo anxious and worried about my dogs- whose taking care of them and how they were doing when there's no one here at the place. I stayed there till 6:05pm because Kaiya the puppy gets fed at 6 so i thought maybe someone would come by around 5:45pm or 6pm to feed the dogs but no one came by. I send them 2 emails and left 2 notes under their door asking them to call me as soon as they receive it.
Of course no one called me and they were closed on Sunday. Monday morning they opened at 8am. My boyfriend and i got there at 8am and the receptionist answered the call (Bc of Covid no one can go in) and i told her i am here to pick up my dogs and i need to talk to the manager. She said Tiffany, the manager, would not be there till 9am so i asked her to give my dogs and i can pay for the one night that i wanted them to actually board with you.
She started to be very hostile and said she couldn't release my dogs unless i paid for 3 nights. I told her my paperwork said i would pick them up at 4:30pm and i was told that would be fine and if you closed at 2pm and no one was going to be there. Why was this not communicated with me? She was just like"i don't know what to say to that but we close at 2pm on Saturday".after several back and forth she finally called the manager who prob asked her to review the paperwork and then she apologized and charged for one night. Not even sure if mybabies were properly taken care of. and no response to my emails or notes They lost my trust and my business. Pls don't let this happen to your babies

I just recently started using this vet during Covid. The first couple of visits were fine. Then I went to pick up a prescription that I had called in for both of my dogs. When I got home I saw that they gave me the wrong dosage for one of the drugs. I called back and kept getting the recording saying that they are open 7 days a week from 8-10 or whatever but if I've reached this voicemail then they are closed?
And you can't leave a message. It's a loop that keep going over and over again. What? So I drove there and went in and they were open and the girl at the counter yelled at me for coming in. Duh. Someone else came up and told me the phones are messed up and it's AT&T's fault and I should join the Facebook page for updates. I did that, got the right meds and now, 3 weeks later and one of my dogs seems sick. It's a Saturday and they should be open but same voicemail. No answer. No Facebook update. All over again.
