Services
Fred & Kelley have been in the dog training business for decades. Training dogs to some of the highest level of competition. Fred, Kelley and their staff pride themselves in maintaining an immaculate state of the art facility and upholding the highest standards in customer service and pet care. Because we are a smaller kennel, we get to know each animal's personality and are able to give them more one on one attention.
Each dog has its own private indoor/outdoor kennel. We have small kennels for those pets under 30 lbs., and large and extra large kennels for bigger pets. The kennel is climate controlled. The inside and outside are separated by a doggie door, which we control. The dogs are let out into the outer runs 4 times a day.
Maple Lane Kennels is a beautiful, architecturally designed facility built in 1985. The grooming facility and cat room were added on a few years later. Our facility is located in rural Brandon Township, on the northern edge of Oakland County. We are situated on 7 acres of mixed wooded/meadow property.
We are pleased to recommend and refer you to a training specialist! Here at Maple Lane Kennels, we have worked with various trainers who specialize in both "good" dog training classes and dogs with behavioral problems. We have used our years of experience to compile a list of trainers that we feel are the best of the best! A little disappointed. Expected to see pictures of our dog while there only saw 2 that were posted on her first day there. Even called as I was concerned but was assured she was fine and they had many chores that took priority to pictures when there were multiple pictures of other dogs. She has also been sick for the last two weeks. Kennel cough, runny nose and sneezing. On second antibiotics and steroids. This was her first time ever in her 12 years in a kennel will be her last!

Fred and team did such a great job with our 3 year old rescue boxer. She went for a month of training and they worked on a lot of basic obedience, walking and staying skills. She is a high energy dog but with her new skills she is learning how to be more restrained and trust us as her owners to help keep control. The girls at Maple Lane Kennels also took the best care of her during boarding.
She got so much attention and you can tell both teams at Wing & Shot and Maple Lane are so passionate about the dogs they care for. It's also so nice to get photo updates throughout their stay!

We took our German Short-haired Puppy in for training and couldn't be more happy with the results! He came home much more focused and obedient, was able to track and find anything we hid, and got a lot of socialization with other dogs of all sizes and breeds. We will be taking him back for a refresher before hunting season. Great place!
