No need to call and ask for pricing on anything, they won't tell ya. I'm sure their very nice, but there are other vets that will at least tell you about prices and price ranges without paying for a vet visit just to get prices. I understand they need to see a pet before giving a sure answer. All I wanted was a range. There are other vets that give price ranges!

Dr. Renehan and his staff of super caring technicians all the way up to everyone who answers the phone and listens to all my numerous questions! However, the care and time Dr. Renehan has spent with me and Cooper, also my shepherd who is now in glory, has been so thorough and very compassionate! Thank you so so much for taking such good care of us!

So amazing! The staff are so sweet. I personally think these staff are under-appreciated for all their hard work. I couldn't do what they do and I know many of you can't. We are so grateful for these heros to take care of our fur babies. Personally Dr. Naturman and Dr. Renehan have saved my mental state and my babies. When my 12 year old spaniel was diagnosed with MVD they not only saved my mental health but also helped me with education and solutions instantly.
I am forever grateful for their staff on not only taking good care of my babies but also educational talks about regular blood work and vaccinations that can prolong and improve my cat and dogs life. Thank you Chatfield. I am forever grateful

Chatfield Doggie Daycare was initially very helpful when we requested their services. My dog was reactive and they held a trial and were very responsive towards our needs. However, my dog was bit during daycare one day and they did not even notice until he was bleeding. They took him in to get his wound cleaned and said that he was fine. We didn't realize the extent of his injuries till we picked him up.
The staff were very understanding when we expressed our concern and said they'd set up a time for us to chat with the manager. The next day, the manager called us and was completely unrepentant. She lacked any empathy for our situation. When we tried to express our frustration about how this could set our reactive dog back in his trust for other dogs, she basically spouted a general 'cover your ass' type of statement.
We asked if we could get in contact with the other dog owner, or if we could get the vet treatment comped but was met with no to all of our requests. We weren't being mean or demanding, but it seemed like the manager did not want to speak to us at all and made us feel like our dog being bitten wasn't worth her time. Eventually they said they could refund the rest of the stamp card that we did not use, and they'd let us think about it.
Some months later I reached back out and said we didn't see ourselves returning and asked for a refund. They said they'd work on getting our refund and call us back. I never heard back from them and called again recently. Then they said that the time had expired for us to get a refund- even though they never mentioned a deadline for when we had to make a decision.
Anyone with a reactive dog knows how hard it is to manage, and knows how much work it takes to help their dogs feel comfortable and safe around other dogs. Unfortunately, we did not feel like our situation was respected by Chatfield. We know there are great staff at the hospital, but this experience was so upsetting that we would not recommend the daycare to anyone.

I cannot say enough what incredible service we've gotten here. Our dog is a COVID pup so we actually have never been able to go in for his checkups/shots, but he LOVES going to the vet, so we know he's getting incredible care. On top of that, we're always able to call when we have questions, and are able to keep our sanity when he gets into something he shouldn't.
They don't try to tell you to come in if your dog doesn't need it, and give clear guidance on how to proceed. Do yourself a favor and come to this vet hospital. We drive down from Lakewood and it's always worth it. Thank you so much!

My wife and I adopted our husky Teemu when he was 10 months old. His previous family loved Chatfield, so as we lived in Highlands Ranch, we decided to try them as they already had all of his records and knew him from 8 weeks old. Since then, Teemu has turned 5, we adopted another pup (now 4), we've moved out to east Denver, and we will STILL make the 40 minute drive out to these wonderful people.
Both our boys love all the staff, the techs and vets are all just wonderful to work with, and our boys have fortunately charmed everyone over. Honestly, could not recommend these folks more, if you're looking for excellent care and understanding when your baby needs some extra help, or even just a yearly check-up. They love your kiddos as much as you do, I promise.

As for quality of veterinary care, CVH gets 4.5 to 5 stars. The 2 star rating has everything to do with prescription costs for my dogs. I have 2 dogs that are on medications. I went to refill one today (a 2 month supply) and the cost had jumped to $177. I did not know the cost had jumped so much before I swiped my card. I questioned the cost and was told that I could get it filled at Costco for cheaper.
I called Costco and generic of the same medication would be only $58 for the same 2 month quantity. I asked for a refund of the amount I was paid and was not given it. I will likely continue to use them for care but will be asking for written prescriptions to take elsewhere unless it's an absolute emergency. Also, the COVID protocols are just too much and too excessive given how most everything is fully open. Everything is still done from the car instead of walking inside. Sorry, but if my doctor can see me just fine there's no reason my vet should make me wait in the car.

I am so excited about this vet! Today was our first visit and my German shepherd is dog aggressive. They made sure he didn't see another dog to make it more smooth and less stressful. Layne was so sweet with him and made the entire experience go stress free for us. Dr Naturman felt so warm and handled him so gently while still being able to perform a thorough exam.
She is so knowledgeable and able to answer my question about a spot on his leg and even gave me affordable suggestions for joint health. The two as a whole were an awesome team and I will recommend them all day. Thank you for an amazing vet visit!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this animal hospital. I've been bringing my pets here for about two years and every single person I've ever talked to has been very sweet, kind, helpful, and understanding. They are great for wellness visits as well as sick visits. They take their time to talk to patients and make sure they answer all their questions. I recommend this vet to anyone looking in the area.

I cannot recommend this veterinary business and will no longer trust the health of my dog to their care. Here are the facts of four separate issues that all happened while my Lab was less than a year old. 1. The first visit was a scheduled wellness checkup for my new puppy. The staff inadvertently canceled the visit. When I showed up I was told I could reschedule or wait to see if they could work me in.
I couldn't take ANOTHER day off so I said I'd wait. Three hours later my puppy was finally seen. 2. I provided them the medical records from the rescue organization and they entered them wrong. They tried to schedule my dog for a shot he already had. 3. Two months ago my puppy got very sick. My call went to voice mail. The recording said they would call back soon.
They never called back. 4. Last week my dog was vomiting blood. My call went to voicemail. The recording said they would call back soon. My call was made at 3:30 pm, they are open until 06:00pm. They NEVER called back that day or any day after. After a week I left a voice message with the office manager saying I was going to find a new vet I finally received a callback. 5. The doctors may or may not be competent (I assume they are), but their front office is failing miserably.

Worst experience I've had with a vet first it's hit or miss if the front desk is going to be nice or not. Took my 9 month old Rhodesian ridgeback in because he was loosing a lot of hair he saw dr reneham he couldn't figure it out put him on antibiotics did skin scrape everything normal with scrape. Dog still losing hair took him back 2 weeks later saw dr perrow she couldn't figure it out sold us medicated shampoo and did fungal test which took over 3 weeks to get!
Dog still losing hair they finally refer us to a Derm specialist mean while I do some research find out my dog is just shedding under coat got furminator my dog is just fine! Really what vet wouldn't know that! Wasted alot of money and time! This office is so unprofessional no one ever called to even give us results or anything they sent a quick email that biggie was negative that's all no duh! He was just shedding! On top of all that you can't go in with your dog so who even knows if they did anything!

Very poor communication. Left a message to inquire about dog boarding last Thursday, and again yesterday and never received a call back. Called both times during business hours. Not interested in having my dog boarded if it takes a week to call me should something happen there. No thanks. I was recommended to go there by my vet but was told they get very busy.

Chatfield failed to schedule an appointment I had arranged by phone with them 3 weeks previously (Jan 23rd). On the appointment day (Feb 15th), I was told that it wasn't in their schedule and they had nothing available that day. Not a huge deal, but very inconvenient. The 'couldn't care less' attitude of the receptionist regarding the error made it easy for me to take my business elsewhere. And she hung up on me too.

Nice vets. Yet, they charged me 250$ for blood tests to screen my dog to be neutered, then they quoted my 650$ for a basic neuter. So they wanted a total of 850$ to neuter my dog, when Redstone does it for 450$ and they include a microchip for the dog. The women up front pick up the phone and hang up when they are busy. Had to call several times for the results of the blood test. I used to love this place. These insane prices have made me take my dogs elsewhere.

My Golden absolutely loves coming here for daycare! He is always nervous during car rides, but as soon as we pull into the parking lot he gets so excited! He always comes home (mostly) dry and smelling good, is worn out from the exercise, play time and playing in the water. Although it can be a bummer when daycare reservations are full, I am appreciative that they do not take more dogs than they can handle and maintain a ratio of workers to dogs.
I worked at a doggy daycare several years ago and this was always an issue that led to fights breaking out (my dog got bit at one point at a previous daycare) -- but I always feel safe dropping him off here! I know he's in good hands!

This is my favorite veterinary clinic by far, I trust my baby to go here and know she's okay. However, the front desk clerk told me in a very snarky voice "you don't have to weigh her now since she won't sit still" (come on now give her more than a second she's 8 months old!) and before leaving she also told me that "my dog needed to go home" because she doesn't like to go to the vet so she was whining and barking like most dogs do correct? Still my favorite vet clinic, but maybe treat your customers better from the front desk.

Everyone I encountered at this office was so nice and demonstrated a genuine love for animals. The doctor was incredibly kind to my grouchy, nervous old lady cat who doesn't normally like vets. I was very comfortable with the care that was provided and recommended. I have definitely found my new veterinary office!

This vet is so great! Their fear free techniques are incredible. Our dog is 9 years old and has had difficulty going to the vet since he was 1. He is terrified as soon as anyone starts to do anything to him (even listen to his heart, look in his ears). At most vets they just try to restrain him and that makes everything worse. He then fights harder out of fear to get away.
This is the first vet ever that not only understands that, I didn't even have to mention that restraining him makes it worse. I just told them he is fearful and they never even tried to restrain him. With their techniques my dog made it through his whole appointment and even got vaccines. He barely even noticed! Usually he acts like his life is in danger he gets so scared when people force the procedures on him.
At Chatfield he was happy and calm throughout. Amazing! Our other pup goes to day care and they are really amazing with her as well. She also had some issues, where she can get overstimulated but they work with her so well and it has been amazing for her socialization.

We recently moved to Littleton. We have an 8 year old German shepherd and a German shepherd puppy. We've been very pleased with the treatment of both our animals. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a new puppy, come here! The puppy play dates are awesome! We just got her spayed and we're happy with the treatment - again, their kindness, knowledge, and sympathy will keep us as clients.

Could not be more pleased with the caring, compassionate, and excellent veterinarians and staff. They took such good care of our very ill cat. They tried to get her to eat by heating up cat food, and trying to hand feed her. They went above and beyond to take care of her. She had the best care possible. The pricing is reasonable, also. I feel very fortunate to have this clinic available to us, and will continue to take out pets there. Terri L. Littleton

This review is about 8 years overdue, but better late than never! I cannot say enough great things about not only the doctors and assistants who work in the veterinary section, but also the team that runs the "Doggy Day Care" here. They are all truly animal lovers, and our 8.5 year old dogs have been members here ever since their very first "puppy" classes back in May of 2008. I would recommend this facility and their staff to anyone who loves their pets and want nothing but the BEST care for them. Thanks! Happy Holidays! Pam Bo

A great place! This is my go-to vet for emergencies (not after hours) and urgent needs because it's closer than my dogs' regular vet. Somehow Dr. Conklin is always the attending when I'm there. She is thorough, compassionate and gentle with both me and my furry one. Her concern is for the animals's health, but she is sensitive to costs of procedures.
The staff is amazing and displays the same concern and care for the animals as Dr. Conklin. This isn't "low cost" vet care, but it is reasonable and lower than many places I've been to. I've never felt pressure to do something just because it could make the clinic money; I always receive thorough explanations as to why something is recommended, and the pros and cons of any procedure-or choice not to do it.
I haven't utilized their daycare, but after waiting for an appointment & seeing happy dog after happy dog enthusiastically run to staff for their day, I wouldn't hesitate to do so. The facility appears clean and well maintained, with a healthy staff to dog ratio. They also know each of the dogs who come in and are familiar with their quirks. If you're searching for quality vet care for your furballs, Chatfield Veterinary Hospital is definitely recommended.

Great Vets, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, the Doctors are caring knowledgable and nice. They schedule so that you are never kept waiting, and the waiting room isn't like a indoor dog park, in fact there is usually nobody waiting and you go right in. Prices are very reasonable, in fact the last time we bought supplements for our dog they were cheaper than Amazon! My dog loves going to the vet.which is the best recommendation I can give. GREAT PLACE!

My husband and I just moved here from Parker and needed a new vet for our fur babies. We noticed that one of dogs was licking his paws a lot and getting ear infections. We brought him in and Doctor Nemmers figured it out right away. A chicken allergy. We got him on new dog food and the problems have been slowly going away. Just recently we brought in our other dog who had an infection on her leg. Doctors took great care of her and got her on the medication needed to heal the problem. The staff is wonderful and I enjoying going there.

A few weeks ago, my cat Ludo disappeared from the house (we still have no idea how), and 18 harrowing days later, we lured him home again. I was able to make a quick appointment at Chatfield the following day to get him tested for feline leukemia and get a general checkup, since he had a few scratches and lump on his side. Dr. Berger was awesome - she was very high energy (and apologetic for a delay in getting to me because they had an emergency as I arrived) and handled Ludo, who was pretty timid and spooked, very well.
They ended up shaving a spot on Ludo's side to expose an abscess which they lanced, and sent Ludo home with some antibiotics. We went back again this week to follow up on the feline leukemia booster, with our other cat in tow. The whole staff was warm, welcoming, and great with our gang. Although my dogs are currently on a wellness plan at Banfield, I'm definitely going to switch back to Chatfield once our current year expires. I love going to a place that loves my animals!
