At the behest of current CDC, AVMA and numerous other regulatory requests, we currently ask ANYONE not feeling well to please reschedule their appointment and refrain from entering the building if at all possible. We also request that only one person per patient enter the building as, unless extra assistance is needed, but in such an event we do require you call us (520-458-8656) beforehand and let us know so that we can provide the best experience and safety possible for everyone. We treat dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds and exotics -- pretty much anything that will fit through the front door!
Services
Here at Sierra Animal Hospital we will see and treat dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds and exotics - pretty much anything that will fit through the front door! Please keep in mind, however, that there are times when we may not be able to see certain types of animals because of the area of specialty for the veterinarian on duty.
At Sierra Animal Hospital we provide a safe and comfortable environment for boarding all sizes of dogs. Each dog has its own kennel space and a constant fresh supply of water. Your dog can be fed its own food, or kennel food, on its regular schedule at no extra cost. Four times a day your dog will be walked on a leash on its own providing socialization and direct human contact.
In an ideal world, pets - like humans - would have their teeth brushed twice a day. Unfortunately we do not live in an ideal world. Pets still need regular dental cleanings. At Sierra Animal Hospital we recommend that older animals and animals with bad teeth have dental cleanings at least once a year, sometimes every 6 months.
Despite the best efforts of the owner a cat can still be an extremely destructive animal to home furnishings and can also inflict significant injury to humans and other animals. Declawing, where the claws are removed surgically from either the two front paws or all four, is a relatively straight forward way to make a destructive cat adoptable.

Dr. Bone and his staff are wonderful. Kind, timely, and caring they do wonderful work. Dr. Bone doesn't pressure you to get any services he seems unnecessary and does a wonderful job of providing you with solutions and how to get them at a cost that works for you. He showed me my dogs x-rays and blood test and walked me through everything. Absolutely wonderful experience, I'm glad I found them.

** Beware deceitful practices**If I could give zero stars I would. Been our vet for 5 years. My wife brought our dog (not sick) in for a simple set of yearly shots; this is all we asked for. The visit was $250. I later questioned the vet on two procedures that were done without much explanation to my wife. The answer was "but she signed the estimate" and not the professional explanation of "we are sorry for not explaining the procedure correctly, how can we keep your business?" I requested a refund on the bloodwork, simply explaining that we would like to remain good customers and requested they refund the bloodwork and a stool sample that was not even completed yet.
The answer was no. I rephrased my request and asked if they were willing to lose our business over about $150. The answer was again, no. I run a successful business and would never treat a customer this way over $150 dispute.this is why my business is successful and customers love us. Terrible customer service.

My dogs have been going there since 2007. They treat you like family. That is very important especially when your pet is I'll or has died. I want to thank the Drs esp Dr Jody, her Saturday staff for helping my with Harleys passing. And I appreciate your billing office for having creative financing to allow me to have vet care. Thank you the sympathy card.

Staff was friendly and our Veterinarian really took the time to listen and give us some ideas of how to deal with our elderly dog. We were a little late in being seen but in fairness there was a legitimate emergency that the front desk handled very well. Do bring a jacket because it is bone chilling inside.no virus is spreading to you or you pets as it should be!

Wonderful professional team! My dog jumped a 6 ft wall and cracked open 2 inches of his skin under the chin. They squeezed him in their busy schedule and assured he did not need stitches, only antibiotics & anti-inflamatory. I could tell the Dr. already had an exhausting day, but still kept her spirits high and took care of my German Shepherd puppy I'm so grateful they took him in and now he's sleeping well. I'm keeping them in my Contacts and definitely recommend their services.

We recently moved to Sierra vista. Our 14 yr. Old cat got very sick. We called every vet in the area and no one could see her. Sierra Animal Hospital took the info and called back saying they could see in a couple hours. Dr. Moffett was kind, friendly and professional, along with all other staff. They Were able to help our cat feel much better. We were so relieved. Thank you so much.

This was Sadie's first wellness visit. She was treated like the loving princess she is. The staff was exceptional and genuine. They care. The doc was excellent and thorough. My pet felt loved. The cost was very affordable and they give military discounts! Sadie will be seeing these folks on a regular basis. *UPDATE* July 2017 Here she is after her first yearly check up. The Vet and Techs there are great! She is doing wonderfully!
