I took my Labrador here for grooming and when I picked him up I was in shock. He looked like he had lost a couple of pounds because they were able to get the dead hair off of him. I'm not sure that my dog has ever smelled this amazing and his nails are simply perfect! The salon was immaculate, smelled clean (not air freshener clean, you know the difference), and the team was very communicative.

Everyone was incredibly welcoming to a Mom that has not ever done this before and may be a bit of a worrier. I can honestly say that my boy will not ever go anywhere else! The peace of mind and reasonable prices were invaluable. Thank you so much Belquest Grooming, you are very appreciated!

All of Belquest's OFA clinics are quick, no-wait, and run fantastically by staff and vets. Today, a clinic was hosted - in 7 hours, 234 dogs were examined.

In agreement with all other like reviews have stated to be true.knowingly because the same terrible experience happened to us. We gave a 500.deposit for the pick of litter purchase of 5,500.! When we arrived after a 3.5 hr drive, they brought out the 5 puppies. Yes all puppies are cute, but they were filthy with diarrhea all over them. I read online to ask abput puppy temperments and personalities.

I was told they would not know.the puupies just arrived the day prior in a car ride from Ohio! Wow. I questioned that and also where was the Dam.still in Ohio w/ owners? When I purchased from online photos the Dam was lusted as a Belquest lady. (after I questioned the discrepancy.the Dam photo was removed to past greats.my intutitiveness told me something was not right So.

I took 1.5 hrs to interact with puppies and then made my pick. I asked to meet Vickie they said she was busy. I later learned she was there grooming ( in view) the entire time we were there! We made plans to pick up our blue collar pup in two week at age 8 weeks old. One week later, they called us to say our blue collar puppy had died of an intestinal disorder.

All those 5 pups had big swollen bellies, that I thought was odd. One pup I liked had a belly rash very full of bumps. I emailed Vickie several times of my concerns and questions of a seemingly back yard breeder without care and concern for the puppies.she had non convincing answers! They offered me a pup from an already 6 week old litter, another upcoming litter or a refund.

They were pushing the first option ready now to go home at 8 weeks. I asked for additional " updated current photos.in 2 emails, so to make that decision.the reply was they had no one to take the photos, and Vickie decided she didnt want to deal. I replied " deal with me?" Suzanne replied yes! Oh, perhaps because I asked too many questions! They refunded out deposit and I stand with my intuitive gut that this place is nothing mofe than a puppy mill.with no TLC given to these dogs.

And the complaints made on this site confirms my fears for others. I will contact the proper authorities for other prospective buyers beware! Oh and to tell everyone how incompassionate this "UNPROFESSIONAL " place is? When i asked for documentation of our pups cause of death ( as they stated their was an autopsy) OMG.Vickie emailed a photo of the dead pup in a box subject title blue collar puppy prior to autopsy.

Their business is uncompassionate not only to the puppies there but to the prospective buyer Which equates to a puppy mills. No TLC there For 5k cost on each pup they should treat those puppies with love & care. They should be healthy and clean.and they wrre NOT! What a nightmare experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone! And with humane concerns for thr puppies, I will reach out to the American Kennel Club and any other animal humane society to look into thier unprofessional business, that an owner would not identify herself with pride for her pups.it's a puppy factory! Please remove that single star neefed to post.lol! AmeliaJ

This is a glorified puppy farm. We were shown unhealthy dogs and received terrible customer service. The dog we eventually brought home has been diagnosed with dysplasia and will need surgery. This is a hereditary condition and developed almost immediately after we brought her home.

I would not recommend this breeder to anyone as we had an awful experience. We first put our deposit information down in the beginning of April for a pick of a chocolate lab litter coming at the end of April. When the litter was supposed to be born we got a call that the dog was never actually pregnant and that there were no puppies, claiming the dog had a false pregnancy.

We were told over the phone that the next litter of chocolate labs was coming May 15 and since it was coming from a champion dog the price was going to be higher and that they would put our name down for that litter. We wanted to clarify all the information we got over the phone so we sent Belquest Conclusion an email asking the new price, when the litter was going to be born, and when we could visit the dog.

The breeder emailed us back but didn't answer any of our questions just stating that she would contact us when the litter was born. When May 15 came we got no call of any litters being born and two days later we had to contact them again asking if there were any puppies, expecting more information about the litter. All she responded was "no". On May 18 we still didn't get any call about the litter so we emailed her again and this time we got some information saying that the dogs would be born that night.

On May 22 we finally got a call that the litter was born but there was only 1 female born and 2 males born and that we were not at the top of the list for the deposit. We were also disappointed that she never told us where we stood in the line of deposits. It is incredibly strange that the first dog had no puppies and the second only had 3, and every time we tried to contact them we were given little to no information.

After this experience I would strongly advise to find a different breeder since the communication/customer service was horrible and after our name was put in two different litters we still did not get any puppies.

We have been boarding our 2 dogs (Jack Russell Terrier and Havanese) at Belquest Kennels for about a year and a half now. We highly recommend this kennel! The staff is very friendly to both the dogs and to us. Since our dogs share one kennel, they are bathed before we pick them up. The groomers do a great job! We travel frequently so we need a safe, healthy, and reliable kennel to board our dogs. We are very glad we found Belquest Kennels. It's a great place to board our beloved pets!

So sorry we took our dog here to get his hair cut! We've been going there for a couple of years with no problem with him getting his claws trimmed. And we've had his hair cut there before with no problem. Well last March, our dog was traumatized by a woman there. Ever since then, he's been very afraid of me. And I realized that I must sound like the woman who cut his hair!

As soon as I say anything to him, he turns from me in fear! One time he got on my husband's lap, and when I pet him, he started shaking profusely with his tail in between his legs. Something happened to him there with a woman! Don't know what but will not send him there again!

Happy dog means good boarding to me! We used them for over a year for my last pup and she was always jumping out of the car and running for their door. Came back happy and well cared for. WE're dropping off our new pup there shortly and feel very comfortable doing so.

DON'T GO HERE! EVER! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL OWNER! Normally would not take any time to do reviews unless it was a completely wonderful experience or horrifying. This was the latter. Just trying to help others. While the location is pretty and the one groomer is good. NOT WORTH THE LONG DRIVE OUT TO IT. I used them for years really never actually dealt with owner.

Just front desk people who were nice and pleasant enough, I thought. Until today. Running slightly late just slightly. Not an hour or two just around 15 min. Traffic to go out there is always such a pain. One lane road in Damascus and Mt Airy. Doesn't matter what time of day there is always backups even when you leave in plenty of time. I have been a loyal customer for a many years.

Always schlepping my dog out there for a long drive in ALWAYS backup traffic. NEVER AGAIN hell no. I was running slightly late and I called to notify them. The husband to the owner says sure how long? He said fine see you then told him didn't want to get charged for another full day he said ok. I get there and the other owner the woman starts to YELL saying she was charging me for the entire day and tell me how hard her weekend was and how hard it was to groom my dog. NOT MY PROBLEM.

Stop complaining just do your job! No reason to literally YELL AT ME. I'm a sweet person. Very loyal and always when I have a good experience refer everyone I know to help a small business I respect. NEVER AGAIN! I will either use Rover or someplace closer. To yell at a loyal customer because of whatever bad morning they were having and not understand the ramifications of that.loosing business? ug!

If she didn't agree its one thing and actually ok but its a complete another level to yell at someone you want business from. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT WORTH THE VERY LONG DRIVE IN ALWAYS SOME SORT OF NASTY TRAFFIC ON ONE LANE ROAD. On top of that she was complaining about grooming around his paws and I think she might have actually hurt him! Taking him to the vet today because he has been limping since I got him home from there. Totally uncalled for behavior by a business to a very good loyal customer. Unprofessional.

We have been taking our dog there for a year now and couldn't be happier. They know him and us by name when we come. They take good care of our dog and when we pick him up he is bathed and groomed well (you do pay for that but it's worth it!) nothing better than a clean dog after being with others for an extended time. They have great hours and easy to accommodate our needs. I find the prices comparable to others but it's easier to get our dog in last minute if needed compared to others.

Belquest was recommended to me for a labrador puppy. I visited the kennel to pick out our puppy and was given first choice. The owner, Vicky, couldn't even be bother to get out of her chair to show me the dogs. When I returned 2 weeks later to take the puppy home, I was told that the owner had picked out my choice. She was on 'vacation' and couldn't be reached.

I had travelled by train for 3 hours and my children were expecting a puppy that night I was told I had picked out the runt of the litter. So fine, no big deal, we didn't a large lab anyway. Well he's six months old and barely 40 pounds and his coat is wirey. He doesn't even look like a labrador. Dont' buy a puppy from Vicky.

Horrible experience. Our dog came back with a bleeding cut on her back the first time she stayed at this kennel and the second time with an injured eye. We've paid hundreds in vet bills. I'm surprised she was still alive after being in their care. Even more surprising is that this place is still in business. UPDATE: I posted the picture of my injured dog on Facebook, and it ended up being shared thousands of times. Belquest's ex-employees started messaging me with horror stories about this place.

One ex-employee told me that a family insisted that their two dogs be kept in separate crates, and Belquest did not obey their request. The larger dog ended up killing the smaller one while in their "care." Another employee told me that they often charge people for walks and other amenities that the dogs NEVER get. Bottom line: the people who run this business are abusive, neglectful, thieves.

I have been taking my Pekingnese to this kennel for years and everything went well until the last 6 months. I had 2 stays in the last 6 months and in both cases my dog was injured and required emergency medical care after I picked her up. In the first case the vet said it was a puncture wound and I thought it was just an accident. The second time her injuries were much worse.

The photos posted here show it. The medical expenses for both instances have come to almost $800 but that's not the issue. The issue is that no one seems to have any explanation for these injuries that my dog has suffered. It is Belquest kennels job to keep the animals safe and well cared for 24 hours a day.

Went for a tour, wasn't impressed and when they wouldn't even show us around that makes me wonder what they're hiding. A lot of dogs outside unattended

I am always at ease when I drop my dogs for boarding here. They are always very happy and well taken care of at Belquest. I am so content with their grooming services as well I dont mind to drive 30mins just for grooming. They do a wonderful job. Friendly staff!

I love bringing my lab to Belquest for doggie daycare. She has many friends both canine and human and she is always happy to go. She runs right from the car to the front door so someone can let her in. When I board her, I never feel that I have to worry about her well being. I don't view this any differently than a child daycare and there is always the possibility that she may come home with a few nip marks on her.

Again not any different than one child biting another. When she gets filthy dirty during the day, the groomers do a great job of getting her cleaned up before we pick her up. I love that she is well taken care of and treated as family.

Avoid purchasing a puppy from this breeder. Ours was diagnoised at 9 months with fragmented coronoid process - a genetic form of elbow dysplasia - in both elbows. Vicky was extremely dismissive of our situation. Through email she has blamed us (which I contradicted with the testimony of two separate orthopedic specialists and a vet who all said it was genetic) and then God.

Go to a breeder with a health guarantee. The best will have it. Also, you should search "5000 Dead Dog", its a heartbreaking story of another family's experience with Belquest.

Horrible expereince! We boarded our male golden retriever here a few years back. He was given back to us soaking wet with puncture wounds on his head and face. No one would talk to us at the kennel about the state of our dog. Tried to get them to pay the resulting vet bill. Again, no response. Very sad situation.
