Dandyland Pet Care Center is owned and operated by the pet-loving Kates family. Since 2007, we have been caring for your beloved family pets. We believe that every family pet needs a safe and happy place to be when you can't take them with you. Here you'll find a clean, welcoming environment, friendly staff, and room for your little (or not so little) ones to run and play. We have an open-door policy, so feel free to stop by during regular business hours for a tour!

We are a family-owned business that has been operated by sisters, Ginny, and Margie Kates, since 2007. Dandyland's name was inspired by our wonderful Dalmatian, Dandy, whom we loved very much. We're natives of Calvert County and are thrilled to be here on the Eastern Shore to provide a clean, safe place for your family's pet care needs.
When your pet comes to stay at Dandyland, they become a part of our family. There are several options for overnight boarding. We offer full-height indoor-outdoor runs or kennels for dogs. Cats will enjoy their own private room, outfitted with kitty condos. We also board ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals, with owner-provided housing.
Whether your dog has a lot of energy to burn or just enjoys the company of other dogs, doggie daycare is the perfect place for them. While you are out running errands or at work, your dog can be here playing with friends. Dandyland welcomes dogs of all breeds and sizes. For the safety of our incredible staff and furry guests, we do not allow aggressive dogs into our daycare play groups.
Do you want your pet to feel happy and healthy? Bring them over to Dandyland for professional grooming services. Our friendly staff will be glad to take care of your pet's grooming needs-whether that involves giving them a bath, clipping their nails, or giving them a light trimming. If you're booking these services in conjunction with daycare or boarding, please make the grooming reservation in advance to ensure your spot on the schedule.
