Grateful Pets It isn't easy leaving the care of your cherished pet in someone else's hands. Just like children, they miss the sound of your voice, the special way you walk through the door and greet them, the kiss on the forehead at night. There is no perfect substitute for you when you're away from home, but professional in-home pet care is the closest thing to it.

With in-home care, your pet can feel secure in the comfortable surroundings of home-and that means less anxiety for your pet and for you. Just ask any of the 1,200 pet owners who have made the leap to professional in-home care with Grateful Pets.
Services
Owners Laura and Tony, along with their staff of more than 20 handpicked pet care providers, are all pet owners themselves. They understand that lots of love and attention can go a long way in helping a pet through time away from their loved ones. Laura spent her childhood on a farm, where she and her six brothers and sisters shared the care of the cows, pigs, chickens, cats, dogs, and rabbits. From an early age, she developed an abiding love of animals. Her Grateful Pets partner, Tony, also spent his youth with a family dog by his side.
In addition, if you're going to be away for business or vacation, we can turn on lights, shut curtains, water plants, take in mail and newspapers, and keep an eye on things for you-like a good neighbor. Our clients don't just turn to Grateful Pets at vacation time. They rely on us for daytime care while they're at work and emergency situations when they're stuck at the office.
The advantages of in-home pet care are obvious-keeping your pet in his familiar environment with all the comforts of home makes perfect sense. But how can you be sure your pet will be loved and cared for in your absence by someone you don't know? Once you become a Grateful Pets client, you'll quickly develop trust in our staff and in our service.

I have been using Grateful Pets for almost 7 years! I had 3 cats when I started but I'm down to 1 great cat who is 13 years old. Grateful Pets has always taken great care of my cat and my house. I always come home to a clean house, trash taken out, mail brought in and cat station cleaned. The company leaves notes after every visit but I prefer a text which they do also with pictures! I also have had to call in last minute requests and it's never been an issue. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

When this agency was owned by another it was fine but apparently it was sold, changed hands, whatever several years ago ---- with no word to its longtime clients --- and the takeover then was a disaster. The sitters who came to our home were young, inexperienced and immature. One kept the door to the litter box room shut so after five days with no access to the litter box our love seat was ruined. The owner's response: "We won't charge you for one visit." Beware. (There should be a NO STAR option!)

We receive consistently good service from Grateful Pets for our cats and dog. Tony is quite accommodating when it comes to schedule changes and emergency visits. We are very happy with the service we received from Grateful Pets and we've been a customer for over 10 years.

I have used Grateful Pets for years and they are absolutely wonderful. They have been my saving grace caring for my furbabies whenever I travel. They also help care for our home while we are away bringing in the mail, turning on lights, watering plants. Absolutely wonderful service!

Seriously horrible service! The walkers don't seem to understand the schedule and the manager actually wrote, "Kim get's confused easily." They broke one of my leashes within a week but didn't tell me. But the last straw was when I came home early from a trip and had the walker come anyway. He walked our dog with a leash that had bags attached to it.

When he walked back into my house, he said, "He pooped but I didn't have any bags so I just left it there and covered it up a little." I told him the bags were attached the the leash and he said, "Oh, so they are! Do you want me to go all the way back and pick it up?" So unprofessional and disorganized! I've left messages for the owners but they don't call me back. There are plenty of other companies. try one of those!

I am very disappointed by the service I just received from grateful pets. They used to be a trusted service to take care of my two dogs. This week, my wife and I left for a sailing trip from Annapolis and had numerous emails and conversations with Grateful Pets concerning the care of our two pups. Scheduled 10 visits while we were away from the 4th of July to the 9th of July. Received the confirmation of the service over a week ago, However they stopped showing up on the morning of the 6th of July.

The only reason I found out today is because I called to cancel the service for tomorrow morning. Their excuse was.our computer system was inaccurate, we had the key scheduled to be there until the 9th of July, but the services stopped on the 6th, yet no one thought it was a good idea to call and confirm the requirement. Absolutely piss pour service on all accounts. Luckily my dogs are ok, but I will be sure to pass along to everyone I know in Annapolis to not use this service and I will definitely never use this service again.

I have used this company on and off for a few years. I don't know what happened but they are now BAD NEWS! Due to a family emergency, I called to ask the if someone would be available starting the next day. But I told them to wait until I called back to confirm because I was in the middle of making arrangements for my trip and had phone calls coming in. Well, within seconds I get an email invoice stating that they immediately charged my credit card for 4 days!

I didn't approve of the dates yet. I requested a refund and now two weeks later have yet to see a refund. They say they cannot give credit back on my credit card.which is bull#rap.and they can only refund by check. I have another date set up with them that I will cancel because I no longer trust this company to be in my house and take care of my pets. Beware.they will charge your credit card without approval. I will probably have to take them into small claims court to get my money back. Not a good company, do not trust them.

I hired this company to take care of my four dogs while we were out of town for three days. No one ever showed up! These poor dogs were locked in their crates for three days straight, unable to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. I will never hire this company ever again!
