Friends of Pets is a private Spay/Neuter Facility and no-kill Feline Adoption Facility. This means we do not euthanize except to end suffering brought on by non-treatable illness, or serious behavioral issues. Because of our no-kill position and the length of time needed to enable cats to become healthy and adjusted for adoption, we are limited on how many felines we can care for.

Services
Our goal is to improve the lives of felines in Klamath Basin. We encourage residents to reach out to provide homes for the homeless, often unwanted felines, living outside their door. To assist, we offer a Free Spay Day once monthly for felines. Our program is spay/neuter-return-to-site. The procedure is free provided both ears are notched during the procedure. We also will financially assist cat owners to spay/neuter for $15 per cat and the ears are not notched.
We receive many many calls from people who want to know how to participate in our Spay/Neuter Programs. 2. Come to our facility and discuss with Kathy the facts: such as, the number of felines, appointment date for the procedures, which program works best for you, assigning equipment, dispensing de-wormer and vaccines, etc.
In-person interviews must be done in advance. Surgery times must be reserved in advance. People cannot sign-up by phone or show up the morning of surgeries without prearranged appointments. We have 55 surgery slots available and most fill up early. We also have a "back-up" list to fill in for last-minute, unexpected openings or cancellations.
In addition to our Monthly Free Spay Days for ferals, etc., when ears are notched during surgery, we also maintain a Spay/Neuter program for those who can afford $15 per cat. These surgeries are done at Klamath Animal Clinic during their weekly schedule. FPKB also dispenses prescription roundworm de-wormer and the first FeloCell3 vaccine for free.

Absolutely the worst and so disrespectful to anyone who they talk to treating people as if they did something wrong when folks are trying to save stray animals from dying not only are they disrespectful but they will charge you for there services regardless if the animal isnt even yours if you need help or assistance STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Do not go here. We just sent out cat to get Spayed and were told she would be delivered back the next day, today as of this writing. Me and my room mate tried to call back as we have had no follow up or notice she was being delivered back. If we had a car and/or lived closer, we would go down in person to pick our cat back up. Instead we get a voice mail stating blatantly to not leave a message as they don't check their voice mail.
Now that they are closed, we don't know if we will get our cat back. They will likely be reported. Not worth the $15. Go to a proper vet clinic and get it done professionally.

I called to schedule an appointment for my kitten to get fixed and the lady was so rude to me. I hung up on her she said. Will you have to come in? How would we even do that by phone like that makes no sense you have to come in I mean. Way to be freaking rude to somebody who just asked a simple question who doesn't know how your place works! All I have to say is wow. Unbelievable. I will go to a normal vet clinic. I will not deal with people such as that. Have a nice day lady

The folks there are very knowledgeable about the cats in their care. All the animals are spayed or neutered before they leave. Their prices are good. One thing that most impresses me is that they have a spay / neuter Clinic every month and fix about 50 feral cats every month. If a person wants to bring their house cat to be fixed, there is only a small charge of about $15.
This is far less than any veterinary Clinic in our town. All the cats are free roaming unless they've been taken out for perhaps an illness or to check to make sure the cat uses the litter box. I wish they were open more hours, but there are not enough volunteers to do that.

Whoever is working answering the phone on Feb 7 Monday morning is undoubtedly the rudest, most crass and ornery old lass I have ever dealt with for costumer service. 1st talking to me like I don't matter I'm customer you lousy old hag 2. Hangs up on you with a schoff, sounds like a dried up rotton prune. 3. Had to call from a different number just to get them to answer. 4. Picked up phone ask what do I want without a greeting. Then I say a spay please she says "not happening today " click. 2022 costumer service. Good luck folks.

The lady I called was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I called and explained the situation about mine and my husband's cat, and she told us "they don't take in cats people don't want." And told us to "just get another cat." She didn't care at all and didn't want to, horrible customer service. This woman should not be allowed to work there ever.
