We hope you enjoy going though our web site. Our site has lots of photos for your viewing pleasure and as a means to enable you to obtain a good idea about the services we provide and who we are in relation to our kennel services; especially with our "Day Care" program. For our Day Care Customers the back 5 acres is now all fenced in and go for supervised walks, plenty of water/land for them to enjoy.
One of our goals was to add a Agility course in the front field to make available for training. We are also adding a small building that and our private/quiet area birthing area for our Lab puppies.

We have two dogs from them. And will never get another one from them. Both of our dog have had major health issues. Our oldest has EPI, which is extremely rare in labs. Although with proper treatment dogs can live a quite awhile. Our youngest had major urinary tract issues. We were told by Robin that we just had a lazy puppy. Her uti issues cases one over her kidneys to "die".( I had to find out from a breeder in NJ.to find What was going on with her ).
Recently a friend got a puppy from there. After a 2 days he couldn't walk. Marananth's response was " he must have been dropped". no way! Word of advice, they may have been good many years ago but not anymore

So proud of June Cawood and all the hard work Maranatha Kennels puts into all these amazing dogs between her puppy programs and the search and rescue dogs on the FEMA/State tasks forces, police departments, cadaver dogs that help bring closure to the family's missing loved ones. I can't even list all the types of working dogs that have left from Maranatha to help others. its truly amazing!
Its such a blessing that the program that June has for puppies that leave for family life can make the biggest difference in someone's life! June has a passion for helping others through her dogs and puts her heart and sole in providing the best of the best! There is no other place that I know of that is family owned and is so dedicated and stands behind her quality of dogs and work!

I got my pup from them and will be a client for life. I am able to train my own dogs, but when I ran into some hiccups, June met with me twice to give me some tips- which worked. She responds to questions I have very quickly. While my dog is mine, they haven't stopped caring how she is doing. I have toured the facility. It's clean. The dogs are all well cared for, and treated like dogs.
They run and play and get muddy. While I am lucky enough not to have to board my dogs, if I needed to, I'd feel very comfortable bringing any dog of mine "home" for a stay. My pup from them is beautiful and smart. She is just like her parents. When it comes to breeding- they know what they are doing and the health and wellness of the dogs comes first.

If they dont let you tour their facilities for day care stay away. the dogs are stuck in kennels all day (daycare dogs). They have under trained trainers (the family not the hired labor). Very arrogant and rude. Will drive out of my way to not bring my dog here. Make sure to check the facility and avoid at all cost.

Please take my word and do not leave your beloved animals here for boarding or daycare. Having known people who work here now and in the past, i know for facts they do not have water all the time, they are left outside from 7am-5pm in the freezing cold or blistering heat, usually too busy with their own dogs to water accordingly. Their fences are not reinforced, meaning dogs are always digging out and running freely having to be chased to get them back in their pens.
The owners tell customers to leave dog foods for their dogs and they will get fed a midday feeding and then after the customer leaves, they throw the food away. Boarded dogs are the worst. They are kept in the "main kennel" and then just left there for the whole stay while their owners are told they have play time with other dogs but it isnt true.
They will tell you your dog will have dog on dog interactions but then put them in a single yard all alone all day long and then lie right to your face and tell employees to never answer questions to just referr the questjon to the management. If you love your dog like family, please don't leave them here.

Absolutely the best dog trainer in the state, I have a black lab pup who spent 30 days with June learning basics of retrieving, he passed both his field trial tests in April at only 9 months old and is currently back with June to advance him to the next level, highly reccomended to anyone who has a dog, reguardless of breed or your plan with the pup at least send them to the basic obidience boot camp they offer. You won't regret it.
