Pet exams are first and foremost about helping your companion stay healthy and treating any issues that have developed. However, they are also great opportunities for our team to build a better relationship with you and your pet. Seeing you both regularly means we'll have a more complete medical history for your pet, and it will be easier for us to recommend any treatments that will increase their quality of life. Our team in Belen, NM is deeply invested in helping you care for your pet and have as many wonderful years with them as possible.
Every pet needs a strong immune system to help them fight infection, and vaccines give dogs and cats the necessary protection to do just that. All puppies and kittens start out with antibodies they obtained while nursing, but these antibodies decrease after they've been weaned. At Valencia Animal Clinic, we recommend vaccinating pets as early as 6-8 weeks depending on their health, so they can start building up their immune system and be more resistant to illness going forward.Cat and dog vaccinations improve the health of our pets, but they also protect the health of our fellow humans here in Belen, NM.

We moved from Albuquerque about a year ago and we've been bringing our dogs here since, they are great with all of them. We recently had to put one of our elderly dogs to sleep, it was a very hard time but the whole staff was amazing and made it so much easier for us. We will always come here and recommend to anyone!

We have had 2 serious emergencies in the last 72 hours. With two different pets! They treated our fur babies with the utmost respect and kindness. They explained everything step by step, and we so helpful and understanding! Not all vets are familiar with English Mastiffs and Neopolitan Mastiffs, and they were awesome

My dog became incontinent over the weekend. I stopped in Belen on the way home to Albuquerque as she was also becoming lethargic. My regular vet couldn't see her till the next day. The doctor at Valencia took her right in, despite missing some lunch break, diagnosed her problem, gave her a prescription & we were on our way home. She perked up & by the next day was her old self again. Many thanks to the Doctor & staff at Valencia!

My puppy had a UTI and needed to be seen as soon as possible, but I was not happy with the vet I had established care with in Los Lunas and wanted to try somewhere new. When I called Valencia Animal Clinic, I received excellent customer service and they were able to get me an appointment same day. The visit went wonderfully. Both the techs and the doctor are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Thanks to their care, my girl was all better within 24 hours! Thank you Dr. Mack and staff!

I love this place the people are friendly and caring. I took my cat Sammie in for some shots. My cat was really scared because it was some place she had never been before and people she had never seen before. The vet Doctor spent time with my cat by talking to her and petting her in order to make her more comfortable. The vet doctor then gave my cat the shot. My cat didn't even know she had just gotten a shot.

Was in town for only the day. My puppy had been sick for about 36 hrs while traveling. I called in & despite being fully booked up they squeezed us in last minute. The vet & tech were so knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to get all meds & preventative scripts we needed at a reasonable price. They said they will call for follow up since we had to leave town same night. I'm beyond grateful for all the help & tips for treatment and future care they provided.

They did a fantastic caring job with my cat. She went in to be spayed and they gave great care and even followed up the next day to check on her.

They were great. I have an older small dog who is terrified of being groomed and needs to be sedated. They got him in a few days after I called. Took great care of him and his lil dog syndrome needs (lol) and reassured me.
