Great service and friendly staff! Good variety of good options for our dogs.

I love that I can take my dogs here and give them baths! And the selection of treats and things for my animals is lovely! The people who work here always warmly greet me and my pups, and they are super helpful with all of my questions!

They have good ratings, so I expected good things, but that was not what I experienced. I came in to shop for my new puppy. Leash, harness, collar, toys, food, bed, etc. As I was trying to find a harness, which were on a tall, but very narrow rack against the window, an older female employee was tidying the harnesses. Not stocking, just tidying. I stood right next to her, trying to look at the items. (It is a very narrow area, so only one person could be in front of them.) She saw me looking at them, but ignored me, and continued what she was doing.

I waited for 2 more minutes, and finally asked her if I could shop. She gave me a dirty look, scoffed at me, and walked away. Very rude and unprofessional. I left without buying anything. I'll never return.

Really great pet store with all the goodies from dog wash to medicine to the best quality human grade food. Even for the kitty's they got some great products. Will be a regular for years to come

We did the Dog Wash. We have 3 Fur Kids. Lots of shampoo & conditioner choices. Dry towels. Doggie hair dryer. Clean stations. Always a wonderful visit. Everyone helpful. Mak'n a chore, enjoyable. After the fact, , the Fur Kids enjoy and feel so much better.

Staff is super friendly and well educated on nutrition and all their products. I stopped going to Petsmart after discovering Long Lease. Thank you guys!

My dad and I had a great experience. We took his dog for a DIY wash, and the employees explained everything. they were super nice and helpful, and helped my dad find what he was looking for. Will be coming by again soon!

First time here and I couldn't say enough NICE things. The staff is FRIENDLY and the self-service pet wash was WELL STOCKED and CLEAN.

I'm changing my review after a kind of negative experience here! Their clerks are always nice and their selection of toys are great. My problem is that they really only carry expensive brands of food which sucks because we like to buy from small local stores but now we can only find our vets recommended brand at PetCo unfortunately.

I have been taking my furbabies her for over a year. It is a great place to find supplies for your little ones. The owners and staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They are about your pets and the most holistic way. I want to remind you that this business is locally owned and operated and needs to be supported by the community and is needed. Please support this business.

I absolutely adore this business and the people who work there. Not only is the staff very knowledgeable but everyone is always so welcoming and helpful. The owners are very attentive and it is obvious they deeply care about animals' well being and advocate for healthy pets living healthy, long lives. If I could give a million srar review, I would!

I really enjoy coming here to get our dog food & poop bags. The prices are great, and the staff is extremely helpful and polite. Plus they're not bias. they still show me great customer service even when I wear my Trump gear. I highly recommend them!

Gotta dirty doggie who needs a bath? It doesn't get any easier than at Long Leash on Life! You provide the human and the dog. They provide a big tub at waist-height (so no bending over), apron, a selection of shampoos, conditioner, and towels. AND - not expensive at all! It was only $10 to give my 15-lb doggie a bath! (Plus, they're giving away free nightlights right now.) I haven't been there in a while - so glad I took my doggie in there this weekend! They have 2 big tubs, so 2 doggies can have a bath at a time. And I think they allow up to 2 humans per dog.

This place has the best collection of food, toys, and everything else for pets. It's the best pet store in Albuquerque. Great service. great selection. Following covid protocols.

Visiting New Mexico for vacation and looked for a do it yourself dog bath. While Yelp listed 10 in Albuquerque there is actually only one I found here at Long Leash on Life. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, my nervous rescue loved her bath and the set up there is conducive to few distractions for your pet. Everything was very clean. After her bath the knowledgeable staff helped me pick out a few needed items and gave me some pointers. Overall-Excellent

Always a treat to go into this store. Friendly helpful staff. They are happy to see you and genuinely nice. Very well stocked with healthy pet food. I would like to see bigger selection of raw. but they will special order for you. During COVID they were very careful - which I appreciate so much. Store is clean and fun to browse.

Long Leash on the Cash Register. We've shopped here since they've opened. $83 bill. Paid $100. Only $7 given as change, along with a receipt. Receipt states $83 paid, NOT $100 paid, thus no accountability for the $17 change due. Fortunately I caught it at the register (as there would be no recourse otherwise) and it was corrected. This mistake was made by Ken, an owner. Make your own conclusions. After all these years we will unfortunately be seeking another vendor for dog food.

Apparently, Norm S., the owner of this establish is unaware of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Infectious Disease Specialist, and the CDC's position spread of Covid via solid surfaces. I assume that his concern is with the transmission of Covid via money. We were in our vehicle and would have complete the transaction outside our vehicle. Petsmart was able to assist us. He certainly can run his company as he wishes but we will not be patronizing Long Leash On Life.

Great selection of food and toys. The bath area is a bit crowded and stuffy, but gets the job done. Staff interactions have been hit or miss.

Five stars for their dog washing area! You can pay of small and reasonable fee to take your dog to use their variety of shampoos and conditioners, clean towels, and air dryers. It's great for a place people who have small apartments or can't kneel next to a tub. I love taking a clean pup home without the mess at home. I will gladly bring the dog here on a regular basis until we (one day) get a nice utility tub in the garage.

Our family has gone to LLOL for almost 10 years now, Norm and his partner and staff have given us great advice in feeding our 3 cats and 4 dogs. One of our large breed dogs was diagnosed with a metabolic problem and given less than a year to survive. 8 years later, thanks in large part to changes in nutrition and supplements with LLOL's help, she is still alive and doing fantastic! Highly recommend LLOL!

This place was suggested by my vet. But it was the worst experience. I have two standard poodle puppies at five months old and needed help to get them in the store to buy them harnesses. The employee said he couldn't touch or help with the dogs so a very nice customer volunteered to help me and we got the poodles in the store. Once we were in the store the same employee tried to help me get harnesses though they didn't have any in the size my dogs needed and the gentle lead collars were also out of stock so I basically left the store without anything I needed and he told me that I could get them at Petsmart, where I was headed next since I was desperate for harnesses. this establishment was suggested to help professionally fit the gentle lead collars and help instruct on usage. Didn't happen.

I like this place. It's got a good vibe to it. But it is definitely more oriented to dogs than cats. And a little bit pricey, but that is to be expected by the quality of products that they carry. As my cat has gotten older, he has needed more specialty foods, and it's nice to have a place in ABQ to find grain-free options on food.

I must have went on an off day or something but compared to other pet stores in Albuquerque this has been my worst experience. They skipped me on the DIY dog wash list twice so I had to wait over an hour to wash my dog. And when I did their shampoos were diluted so much I had to use over a gallon of shampoo. Their staff did not show me where the aprons were and the whole place was still dirty. Overall the pricing for the quality of the wash was way too expensive and all of their equipment seemed old and unsanitary. Will never be going back.

One of my favorite small-business pet stores in ABQ. Large selection of food, treats, and goodies for cats and dogs. Self-serve dogwash available with two bays for washing and drying, priced by weight, and lots of shampoo/conditioner options. Love this shop for all things pets. Fantastic customer service every time I've been. This shop also offers a frequent shopper club so inquire when you purchase. High quality foods and treats. A huge selection of toys, beds, and pet things. They even have small stones to commemorate a lost pet which is really sweet. Additionally there is a dog wash in the back that you can use to self wash your dog.

A huge benefit for those of us with labs that roll in dead things. My favorite shop for all things pets! A fantastic day is to head to the Montgomery dog park, then to run errands at Long Leash on Life, and then hop across the street to the street to the dog bakery and starbucks to unwind!
