I left my 5 month old Golden Retriever in Gina's care this past weekend, and the agreement was for boarding only. I found her to be initially very no-nonsense, to the point of being rude, but I brushed it off as her being direct. I noticed the other dogs in her care wearing e-collars and prong collars, but since we weren't there for training, I foolishly didn't ask about them, or mention that I wasn't aligned to using either on my puppy.

When I picked him up on Sunday afternoon, rather than tell me how my dog did, she immediately and aggressively criticized me for spoiling him. When I awkwardly laughed, she accused me of thinking it was funny. I said I do not think its funny, but it is hot, I am tired, and I want to get my dog and go home. I never got any updates or pictures over the entire weekend, and I wasn't comfortable being berated by this person.

I never even understood what he did the entire time, because she was so focused on telling me to get him in group classes and training immediately. Keep in mind, the behavior he was displaying: jumping, not walking, being excited - this is all very consistent with puppy behavior for his age. She then tried to give me another dog's bedding, and when I corrected her and went to the pen that she originally assigned him to get his bed and blanket, she admitted that he was sleeping in a different area.

I specifically asked that he not be crated, and now I do not know if he was or not. When we got home, not only was he skittish and anxious, when I bathed him, I noticed multiple cuts and bruising all over the front of his throat. He flinched whenever I went to pet his head. I called Gina immediately, and when she called me the next day, she told me she had used a prong collar "because he wasn't walking properly".

This is a 5 month old puppy, who had never been boarded, not to mention it was near 100 degrees on her ranch. I'm not surprised my dog wouldn't walk for her. She apologized and offered to pay for his vet visit, or drive him to the vet (did she forget that I live in Orange County?) and I said I didn't want her money. I have no issue with prong collars, when they are used correctly on a dog that is being trained and the owner is informed.

I never agreed to this treatment, and have spent the last two days continuing to comfort my dog who now will barely leave my side. I learned my lesson to ask more questions moving forward, but wouldn't risk further injury to my dog by ever leaving him in Gina's care again.

We Brought our CRAZY boy Zak to Gunner for the 7 day board and train. Here is a little background on Zak, he was a rescue that had A LOT of energy and being that we worked a lot we never got him on a good training regiment. Fast forward to a year later we found out that we have a baby on the way and that is when we decided to seek out help. We did this so that we can make sure that we have a well behaved dog when our son arrives.

I have to say Gunner from day one was nothing but amazing and had so much knowledge to give us. Throughout the 7 days we received daily updates via video and photo of our Zak's progress. It is unbelievable the transformation we have witnessed, Zak has been home now for 2 days and he is a completely different dog, because Gunner was so informative to us and giving us best practices throughout the process it made the turnover seamless and Zak is completely receptive to our commands( which i was worried that once Gunner left he wouldn't listen to us) We cant Thank you enough Gunner for taking care of our boy and showing him his true potential, He is a happier dog and we feel like he has gained a purpose and that is to please us and be a good boy! we highly recommenced Gunner as he is the best!

Gina is amazing! Our dogs love spending time with her. It's really the only place I feel comfortable leaving our pups. They have plenty of room to run, a little dipping pool, new adventures and always meet other sweet 4 legged friends.

I highly recommend Canine Solutions. Gina is amazing! Not only an amazing trainer but just an awesome person as well. Our 9 month old puppy was super energetic and didn't listen to a thing we said. We were pretty desperate when we brought her to Gina. After 3 weeks we picked up our puppy and felt like we picked up a whole new puppy. She stopped pulling the leash on walks, she listened to all the commands we gave her, stopped jumping, chewing, is great when strangers approach and kids. If you are looking for dog obedience training Gina is the person to go to.

Super happy with Canine Solutions! Being new to the area we were not sure where to kennel our dog for the weekend. Saw that Gina at Canine Solutions has great reviews! Gave Gina a call and scheduled our pup's visit. He was well taken care of and I almost thought he wanted to leave home and stay there! He played with other dogs and came home happy and tired! Will always recommend Gina's Canine Solutions! Check her web: ginaspuppycamp.com

I called yesterday to get a assessment done for my two dogs but a return phone call never happened from the owner. When a company doesn't call me back, I need to leave a review just for others customers to be aware. Found someone else to watch our dogs.

Our Shiba Inu, Elphie, spent last week with Gina while we were on vacation and had a great time. This was the first time we left her and felt like it was a good experience. Gina was so easy to work with and took great care of our puppy. She came home tired from all the playtime with the other dogs, which she just loves. I would definitely recommend Gina to care for our pup again. The cost was reasonable as well. Thank you!

I was at the end of my rope with my spirited 16-week old Golden Retriever. I named her Honey but quickly added badger to the end of her name. Gina watched HB for 4 days. Two days in a mini-puppy camp and 2 days she was boarded. I cannot believe the transformation! The biggest issues were her biting my arm when she played and her jumping. Gina took care of those issues.

It has been 3 days and she doesn't bite anymore. she starts to and then thinks better of it. Gina gave me guidance on how to correct the behaviors. She is much more grounded and responds to "sit" and "down" The property is huge and I love that Honey can run and be a dog! I am taking her back for the longer puppy camp and look forward to her learning. Thank you Gina!

Gina is great! Her ranch is beautiful and has plenty of land for guests to run freely. Kosh really loved the cage free environment.

Gina is wonderful! I trust her with my dog more than I trust most family members with my dog. He always comes home dog tired (lol)! From my experience, Gina is very knowledgeable about canine behavior and also very accommodating if your dog is working through an issue. Ivan is the second dog I have entrusted Gina with, the first was a little pit mix named dude about 10 years ago.

I work at an animal hospital with a resort attached, and even though it is a fraction of the cost to keep him there, I will only do overnights/ long weekends with Canine Solutions. I know my boy will be safe, happy, and exercised!

Our dog really enjoyed his time at "camp"! Gina was easy to communicate with, and is knowledgeable about caring for pets. Her home in wine country leaves the dogs with plenty of space to run and play! We will definitely take our dog to her again!

Have been taking dogs to Gina for almost 10 years. She is great with them and they get so much exercise. She's helped us with training and honestly we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dropped off my two doggies for daycare on Friday morning. The boys had so much fun and they were super tired by the time I picked them up at 530pm. We did a meet and greet the week before and needless to say I felt at ease that my boys will be in good hand. My senior big boy Baron has a bit of arthritis so I requested Gina if he can have play time but some rest too in between. Baron wasn't limping when I picked him up so he was ok.

They will be staying again this time for boarding overnight in October. I'm so glad we found Canine Solutions! I highly recommend this place for daycare and boarding of your loved pets.

I had to board German Shepherd, Jax, for the first time last year. He normally travels with me but it wasn't an option. I was extremely apprehensive about leaving him but after seeing the grounds and meeting Gina I felt better but not totally at ease. When I arrived to pick him up a week later that totally changed. He was playing "chase" with another dog when I arrived and was completely worn out from running/ playing with the other pups.

He has since stayed several other times and barely notices when I leave as he's so excited to be there. Gina has been great as the military gives me short notice at times and she's been incredibly understanding and flexible.

I have boarded my dog here twice (over a week each time) and will be doing so again soon. My dog has such a great time because there is lots of room to run, many places to sniff around the property, and she has fun being with other dogs. I know that when my dog is here that she is well cared for, loved on, and has a fun time. I appreciate the service and care that Gina provides! I don't worry about my furbaby while she's with Gina.

When I travel I put Ruben with Gina because I want to make sure he has the very best experience while he is away from me. Not only does he come back exhausted and happy but I can rest easy knowing he's somewhere having a blast and will come back actually better behaved than when he left! Thank you Gina you're amazing!

Oct 2013 I was looking for a new facility to take my 18 month old border collie for boarding, playtime and socialization training. We had tried other places but he was not improving until we found Gina at Canine Solutions. I have seen a huge transformation in the short time he has spent at Canine Solutions. Gina has done wonders with him to help him become a confidant and obedient and best of all HAPPY dog.

She has also taught me to be a better and more confidant pet owner which has also helped me with my older jack russell. Gibbs and I now feel confidant when we can go to places other dogs are and enjoy all their company. As for his overnight stays with Gina when I am off doing none dog related activates he loves to go to Canine Solution! The open and wide spaces she has for her guests offer many sights and smells to keep them stimulated or a quite country atmosphere if they want to kick back and chill.

She also has areas she has separated for big and small guests that offer all a good time. My boy always comes home happy and tired. I feel lucky to have found Canine Solutions and Gina Cox! Thank You!

I have two much loved pugs and always trust them to Gina at Canine Solutions when I have to go out of town. It's dog boarding at a residence on horse property about 10 min. out of wine country. They run free all day and get lots of exercise, large and small dogs are separated, only well behaved ones are taken because of this. If it's too hot they are inside in an air conditioned doggy play area.

She also is a dog trainer and has "doggie fat camps" and knows how to help overweight dogs lose weight. My doggies are happy there and I'm glad to take them somewhere I can really trust.
