WOW! Soooo happy that I found this great place! After rehabbing Eli, my huge labradoodle, he now has more energy than I do! hahaha. His previous two dog runners moved out of the area and the company they worked for was unable to locate another runner in my area.then I found DOGS ON THE RUN! whoohoo.it was super easy to communicate/connect with them initially and VERY soon after I did.they had someone in my area (thanks Daniel!) reach out and meet me and Big Dog. I think within days! Great customer service and attention to our needs/wants. We developed a schedule immediately. Thank you so much!

I started using Dogs on the Run over three years ago when I was originally traveling for work. Lauren is my preferred petsitter. I could not be more pleased with how Lauren takes care of Big Guy when I am gone! She is patient and loving with him, puts up with his 18 year old foibles and issues, and I feel that she takes care of him as if he were hers.

She is always flexible, which given this last trip being cut short due to my illness, I greatly appreciate. She is the consummate professional petsitter, treating my home with respect, and always following my instructions and wishes. I am always confident that my pets will be cared for as if they were her own when I entrust them to her care. Plus, I love the pictures and report she send with each visit. They always brighten my day wherever I am! I highly recommend Dogs On The Run!

We have been using Dogs on the Run for Years! For our recent trip, we had Leslie come to take care of our old (14-1/2 year old) dog and our 2 kitties. Leslie was awesome! Very professional and concerned about our fur babies. She was great with communicating with us, providing photos and details about each pet. Dogs on the Run is my go to pet sitting service while we are away. they have a very good thing going! Thank you!

Sophia was amazing at watching our little Nugget while we were in Carlsbad for vacation! Some activities we couldn't take him to so we found Dog On the Run and they had a great deal on pricing so it wad the obvious choice. Sophia was so sweet and made sure to give us updates throughout the day with pictures of our baby to make sure we felt comfortable and secure. Loved the service, communication, and kind team!

I had to leave my rescue dog for the first time since i got her for a 4 night/ 5 day work trip. I was worried she would regress to some of her earlier anxious behavior, but she bonded with her sitter Christa and i received lots of photos and updates that helped me worry less about her and focus on work. Bonus was that my apartment looked exactly like i left it.

A wonderful local business. I have used them to arrange for a trainer for my dog and to look in on my dog when I had a long day trip. everybody I have worked with is easy to work with and provides outstanding service. I will be using them again and again and again.

When we relocated to Carlsbad a couple years ago we needed to find someone to watch our two Shih Tzus right away because with two kids in college and a second home in Oregon we travelled out of town A LOT. We found these guys on Yelp and they immediately swung into action to help us. First we had August who took great care of them. Then, for an extended trip, she wasn't going to be available.

She and April retooled and moved us to Susie (and Oscar). From there on "Camp Susie" became the only place we'd trust our now three babies. I often joke they should just have the bank send me their mortgage bill directly. We have left our pups with them for as long as 8 days at a time without ever worrying for a minute about their welfare or them being loved and spoiled. Susie sends amazing photos constantly.

We actually check with Susie now before booking air, and plan our dates around her. True story. Camp Susie has a huge dog friendly outdoor space where her guests and her own two dogs frolic endlessly. When they come home they need an immediate vacation to recover from all the fun. We've had two great caretakers from Dogs on the Run. Even if Susie isn't available, you will be well taken care of by this service.

I moved to Carlsbad not knowing a soul and needed to find a good dog sitter. I found DOTR, when I first reached out, I received a response quickly, then I was put in touch with Jan who is THE MOST AMAZING person in the world. She has a heart of gold, and the only other person who I trust to take such great care of my fur baby. I had to go on a business trip but my "kiddo" had some tummy issues, had it not been for Jan, I would have had to cancel.

I didn't have to worry the entire time, I received multiple updates throughout the day. I tell everyone I meet about DOTR, the only downside is Jan being booked out because everyone wants her.

Such a terrific service for anyone that needs to board their pup. Our dog has anxiety issues and used to cower in the corner whenever we needed to leave her somewhere for boarding. After being referred to dogs on the run, she is excited when we get close to dropping her off. We've used 2 of their boarders and both were excellent. Highly recommend

You will not find a group of more dedicated and loving pet care professionals. I know my pets are safe, cared for, and stimulated as a client. We love DOTR! We're lucky to work with Elizabeth, who walks with our dog Buddy on weekday afternoons. She is very patient and caring with him and really knows how to harness his pitty energy. She has introduced him to a few other dogs for joint walks and he absolutely loves it. Elizabeth also offers overnight services and has stayed with Buddy and our cat Peaches many times.

She makes them happy and is very respectful of our home. And she always keeps us updated with lots of photos and recaps of what the pets did all day :- We definitely recommend DOTR for anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable pet caretaker.

Have been super impressed with this amazing company of Aprils. From customer service, information, and the efficiency of a one stop shop! April & her team provide the best loving care my dog receives outside of our family. Professional, thorough, attentive to details & to my dog's needs, there is no one else I trust to care for her. Jan & Sophie are exceptional! They send me updates including photos & videos when they come to walk & feed her. My dog's breed is very social but I have zero worries with DOTR because of the loving care she receives. I highly recommend DOTR! Truly a premium service at reasonable rates.

Jodi and Selena were both fantastic with our lab Torii. They're caring and kind. In addition, they were punctual and attentive.

We have an older dog who is precious to us and our dog sitter looked after her like she was her own. I didn't have to worry for a second about her. I got daily updates / photos / videos of our dog which was so reassuring

I'm a little reluctant to give a five star review, because I know if I do they'll get really busy and I won't get the dog sitter that I want. It's for that reason I won't name names! We've used Dogs on the Run few times over the last couple of years when we went out of town. We had the sitter stay at our place in the evenings and had a daytime visit as well.

We couldn't have been more satisfied! We were able to do a meet and greet a couple of weeks prior to leaving town. This gave us the opportunity to get comfortable with the person who would be staying in our home and watching our pups. When it came time to leave town, we were constantly updated with texts and pictures. While we were gone, we had no worries at all! What a great feeling.

This hands down might be the best experience I have had! From the moment I reached out to the second I paid the invoice, I felt like the customer service was top-notch. Our dog-sitter, Iza, was so communicative and pleasant. She went above and beyond to take care of our littlest toddler. She sent photos and updated us all day which really helped us to feel secure with our decision to board her for the day while we were at The Safari Park. Thank you all so much and I think our pup will be delighted to spend another day with Iza in the future!

I needed someone to watch my dog for a weekend so I called Dogs on the Run. They replied quickly and set me up with a meet and greet with Jennipher L. Jennipher'shouse is perfect! There's a doggy door and a huge backyard. Marco, my little dog, felt right at home immediately. I have left him there several times since. Jennipher always sends pictures of Marco. I'm so glad I found Dogs on the Run and Jennipher. It gives me such piece of mind knowing that when I have to leave my dog, he's in such good hands!

I have been with DOTR for almost 3 months now and can definitely recommend the service! They care for my dog like its their own and they make him so happy every single time they come and take him for a walk. They are accommodating and reliable you can definitely trust them with your home and your pup! If you are looking for the best dog care/service look no further because your dog and you will absolutely love it!

Been using DOTR (and Tatiana) for months. I'm a nurse with a schedule that changes constantly, my husband works long hours and travels. They have been amazing. More importantly, when we moved here I was having issues walking our dog because she just was not good on a leash. Tatiana introduced us to a gentle leader and it's literally changed our lives.

I can now walk our dog without issues and it's safer for all of us. I love seeing our pup get to know Tatiana and some of the other people at DOTR. They really bond with her. Iza and Becka have also been really amazing. They have taken the time to slowly introduce Luka to other pups. We are so thankful.

I left a message and received a callback in few hours. The very sweet lady whose name I can't recall was the owner of the company. I explained that I had to drive to LA for my mother's funeral and needed someone to stay with my puppy. She told me that she was out of town but was on a drive back and would contact her staff to see who's available for that date.

She sent me a text that someone named Katie would contact me for a meeting. I made an appointment with Katie and she came by the next morning to meet us and Gio. She was very sweet and we made our appointment. On the day of, she was here on time. We checked with her couple of times during the day and she gave us updates on our little man. We and Gio liked Katie so much that we'll be requesting her regularly. She is very kind, pleasant and professional. I don't trust my dog with just anyone. That says a lot about how great Katie is!

We are so grateful for Dogs On The Run. Our beagle is an animal testing survivor. She is just learning how to trust. Of course we are extremely protective of her and had to be absolutely certain we could trust the person caring for her. Jan Martin is so kind and loving. She truly cares for our pup and loves her as her own. Jan is always updating me and is extremely responsive. Thank you Jan. Thank you Dogs On The Run. Don't walk, RUN to dogs on the Run! They are amazing! They have been there for me and my 2 dogs for 10+ years! Their is no greater staff than DOTR! They are family to us which means trust, responsiveness, flexibility, and most importantly -- loving and caring for my dogs just like we do. THEY ARE SUPERB!

We love Dogs On The Run! They have kept our pets (2 Great Pyrenees, a feral cat turned house cat, and 36 chickens) for every trip we have made for the last 4 years. Our pets are so happy to get to stay at home, and Dogs On The Run always takes the best care of them. They send photos and let us know how each visit goes. We highly recommend April and her team!

The pet sitter who helped me was so thorough with all the "minor" details of what my pet needed, and went above and beyond all of my expectations.
