Understand a few things before surrendering a stray you find: 1. This is a kill shelter. Because they cannot refuse a surrender, if required to they will destroy animals as needed. It likely won't happen to the animal you bring in, but it could and you should be aware of that. 2. Once it's surrendered, it's gone. Don't bother trying to find it a forever home yourself because the SEAACA staff will do *NOTHING* to help make that happen if you succeed.
I spent weeks trying to find a home for the stray I discovered while on a road trip, and the staff not only refused to let me know which rescue org had taken it in, but they wouldn't even give the org my information so that they could reach out to me. I had a home all lined up for the pooch, but thanks to the completely unhelpful staff on the phone, he'll never know it. 3. If you call, expect hold times of upwards of well over an hour. Only surrender an animal here if you have no other option. And even then I'd think twice.

Had to get my puppies their first round of shots. The line was long but went quickly. I definitely recommend getting there at least 2 hours before they open as the line begins to form extremely early. And if there is still a line close to their closing time, they will make a cutoff and those left behind will have to go back. Other than that, the service is great and easy!

No stars secca is the deadliest shelter around don't take new born kittens who can't eat on there own they're immediately euthanized at best they hold til end of they day to see if a rescue pulls them but that doesn't give much time for networking to get them noticed and if you love your babies at all when you surrender your loyal pet they sometimes don't even give them 2 weeks to find a home before they euthanize healthy beautiful animals owner surrenders most times like newborn kittens are out down right away at most a few days and if a animal is sick or medical they're not even able to be seen for a chance at adoption unless a rescue steps in an pulls they'll die the biggest high kill shelter in the area

Seaaca does not know how to run adoptions. My family was called for an adoption we put our name down for. They told us we could go fill out the paper work and bring home the kitten the following day. We went out and spend $300 on everything the kitten would need. All for them to call us the day of and say never mind. They double booked the kitten and they're giving her to someone else. This is extremely upsetting and the clerk over the phone had no sympathy. It was just another mistake on the job to her.

My 2 month old puppy was stolen and ended up here. 24 miles away. We called to advise we were picking him up and told he was being adopted and they were very rude about the whole situation. They also told us we had to pay $175 to adopt a dog that was already mine. I told them about my police report and how he was stolen and they wouldn't work with me. They were not "nice" until we arrived and ID the puppy. They could have been way more sympathetic to my situation.
