Services
We service the entire southwest florida region: from Naples, Bonita Beach, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Punta Gorda to Port Charlotte. Our kennel is climate controlled and has indoor/outdoor runs for small, medium, large and giant breeds. One of the most important services we have is that we live on site to watch and hear your pet over our surveillance camera system also at night. When you don't want to leave your pet alone at home, Daycare is the answer! Our Guests can enjoy the time from home with us and meet adder friends!

We offer competent grooming services for all breeds. This includes comb outs, shaving, and full clip. We will make sure your pet looks like you want. We will do the best job possible with communication between you and our groomer Anke. Phone estimates are ball park figures only as a lot depends on the breed of dog and the condition of it's coat.
The AAS von Tente Kennels Boot Camp provid professional obedience dog training and puppy training classes for all breeds of dogs. This is also one of the easiest dog commands to teach. It is used to control your dog when it gets over exited. A dog that will sit on command is much easier to manage. When you teach you dog to sit, it should sit and focus on you until you give it another command. Similar to the sit command, it also is used to control your dog. Instead of sitting you have your dog lie on it's stomach.

Having two dogs with extra needs (aggression & anxiety) can make it difficult to find boarding. We were upfront with our dogs' issues, and Anke made an effort to ask questions and understand the situation. We felt that the owners here actually cared for the wellbeing and health of our pets unlike past experiences with other local boarders (Academy Kennel).
Although this kennel is pretty remote, it's worth the trip. You won't regret choosing this business to take care of your pets. Another bonus, they're open on Sundays for pickup/dropoff!

They kept our temperamental catahoula for boarding and even though she is a handful, will let her come back for our next trip. We obviously will work with her beforehand, but they are a BLESSING! So understanding. Have given us much needed advise and constructive criticism (not criticizing, but just very good pointers). I highly recommend them!

We have been boarding here since we moved to Alva 6 years ago from PA. Anke & Veit have become like family. When we lost our Staffy to cancer they were devastated. We boarded our other pit a few weeks later and they really made a special effort with her happiness. We will always board with them. Could not ask for a better couple to handle my dogs.

I've boarded, groomed and trained my dogs here for over 10 years. My boxer mix was injured while being groomed at Petsmart. He was frantic getting his nails done after that. Anke took HOURS to do his nails. Cut one, played with him, cut another, etc. She went above and beyond to get him used to grooming again. Anke and Be it always put pets and people first. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs.

We have used Aas Von Tente Kennels for 5 years! The first time was out of desperation, we had a death in the family and needed to board our large dogs quick. They took very good care of them. The dogs we have now are sometimes aggressive in nature (out of fear) because they were both abused rescue dogs, so we can't trust just anyone with them. The owners here are fully aware of the situation, and do everything possibly to make sure our dogs have a pleasant stay while keeping them and all of the other dogs safe. I feel completely at ease leaving my dogs here. They always answer when we call, and are super-flexible! As long as they are in business, I will be boarding my dogs here!

My dog and I have been using Aas Von Tente for more than two and a half years now. When he was 4 months old, I suddenly had to travel overseas and trusted them with the care of him for fifteen days. A week after coming back, my job took me out of town for another two weeks. Since the first day, he was received as a new member of their family and has felt welcomed and treated with love every time I use their services. More than a business, I see Von Tente is a friendly shelter for my dog. I will continue using their services for as long as I have my dog.
