Andrea created her dream job and started Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC in 2005. Her passion for animals started as a young girl. Her and her family had many different dogs, cats and other pets throughout the years. She understands that our pets are family members, so she makes sure her staff shares the same values.
We want to make sure we become acquainted with you and your pets. To accomplish this, we schedule an initial visit in your home. We will answer any questions you might have to ensure we give your pet the best care possible. Instructions for all your pet's care are put in the portal, along with instructions to keep your home running as you would.
Just because you are not home during the day Monday through Friday, doesn't mean your dog can't get the treatment they deserve. We will come to your home to ensure your dog gets potty breaks, walks, treats, playtime, and love they miss while you are not there. They are the most responsive company I've ever worked with.
Because cats are most comfortable in their home, we will come to them when you are out of town. When visiting your home, we will not only ensure your cats needs are tended to, we also make sure to take care of miscellaneous tasks for your household to ensure the best health and safety of your feline family members.

I had a really incredible experience working with Steel City Pet Sitters and wanted to thank everyone on the team for taking such great care of our 10-month-old cats, Gigi and Bootsie. Thank you to Andrea and her all-star team for all the love, playtime, feeding, and attention to the details and notes we provided while we were on vacation. This care put us at ease while we were away for the first time this long from our kitties!

The app was excellent and extremely user-friendly, and we loved all the pictures and videos of the cats sent each day. Grateful for the amazing and wonderful care they took of our fur crew. Just got home from leaving them for the 1st time and I was a nervous wreck, but I came home to happy, calm, and stress free pups and kitties. I received photos and updates with every scheduled visit. I genuinely do not have enough words to express my gratitude for steel city pet sitters! The team consistently goes above and beyond to take care of my fur babies when I am away. Not only do they take excellent care of my kitties, but they are also extraordinarily professional and take great care of my home. Somehow when I get home, things are always better than I left them :) Andrea has been always been reliable, kind, and frankly. Exceptional! She and her team (namely Rae and Kaleigh) are truly amazing and are the only people I feel safe and comfortable leaving my babies with!

We are so appreciative of Steel City Pet Sitters for taking such wonderful care of our 3 fur babies while we were away! They gave frequent updates and made sure our senior dog got her medications daily, which is no easy task. I recommend them fully to anyone who planning a trip! We have been using Steel City Pet Sitters for years - while we hate leaving our dogs, we know they are always in good hands. Not only is the staff reliable and professional, you can tell they truly care about all the pets they take care of. We also love that they provide updates and pictures while we are gone! Their app makes it super easy to communicate, schedule, and pay invoices. We just recently started using the training service as well and we couldn't be happier. HIGHLY recommend!

We used Steel City Pet Sitters for our cat Stevie while we went out of town, and we are extremely happy with our experience! The staff is very professional, and they were extremely kind to us and our pet. After every visit, they us sent pictures/videos of Stevie and a detailed description of the visit, which really helped us feel at ease. I'd highly recommend Steel City Pet Sitters to anyone!

We used Steel City Pet Sitters for 2 years with our pup prior to moving out of Pittsburgh area and wish we could take them with us! Our pup loved getting to know his regular crew and we always felt very safe with him in their care. The pictures and updates during the work day were so great! My boyfriend and I were in desperate need of someone to watch our 3 dogs last weekend due to a very last minute trip. I came across Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC and filled out the inquiry form on the website. Andrea contacted me quickly and was able to find someone to watch our pups all within a few hours of us needing to hit the road.
Everything about our exchange was professional, prompt and thorough by making sure she received all the info needed on our dogs. Kim was our dog sitter and was amazing! We used Andrea and the Steel City Pet crew to take care of our two pets during our frequent travels for the almost five years we lived in Pittsburgh. I sure miss having access to this first rate service, not to mention working with the wonderful people!
