I have always wanted to be around animals from the time I was very young. As a child I kept a variety of species of pets from hermit crabs, cats and dogs, to reptiles and birds. I began taking care of my friends and family's pets as a teenager. My pet care experiences had been so fulfilling that I decided in 1998 to create Nature's Nanny. As Nature's Nanny I am dedicated to providing your fur/feather baby with love and companionship while you are away. Nanny's family of pet care professionals have been with me long term. We treat our clients pets as our own and are a family of sorts, committed to making your pet comfortable in your absence. We are pet first aid certified, knowledgeable in dog obedience techniques and strive to give you the best pet care experience.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
I have served my client's pet care needs for over 20 years. In 2005, I desired to do something more. I was preparing wholesome handmade treats for my dog Orbit when news of tainted pet treats were being sold from China. I decided to offer my handmade treats to my client's pets. Natures Nanny Pet Treats was born.

Luna is our first pet and I was very apprehensive leaving her at first. Lisa came to meet us and put us at ease immediately. She has been back several times and now we have a trusted FRIEND coming in to help. She always sends texts with pictures and leaves a detailed account of her time with Luna. Lisa is the BEST!

From the second we met with Lisa, we knew we ( and our VERY particular kitty) were in excellent hands! It's not easy to entrust someone you don't know personally into your home to take care of your furry family member while you are away. Lisa interviewed us as much as we interviewed her, and we truly felt like her expertise and experience made her an extremely trustworthy caretaker.
We couldn't have been more impressed! Despite the fact that our cat becomes territorial and downright vicious with strangers, Lisa managed to feed, change the litter, and even attempt to socialize with her, while knowing exactly how to handle such a difficult cat. We got a daily log of the day's activities, as well as pictures and text updates. When we got home, it was obvious that an unbelievable amount of care and attention had gone into her, and she behaved as if we'd never left.( In fact, her litter box was better cared for than I think we even do!) We can not recommend Nature's Nanny Pet Service and Lisa enough!
We have already used her services twice, and will continue to do so in the future. I felt like she cared for our cat as much as we do, and was professionally able to handle her in a way that neighbors and family members were unable to. We are so grateful, and have recommended her to several people, and will continue to do. I highly recommend giving yourself complete peace of mind, and hiring such a fantastic service. I only wish we had found Nature's Nanny's Pet Service sooner!

Lisa has been pet sitting my cats for over 15 years. She has also pet sat our fish, watered my garden, brought in the mail, checked my bathroom for a problem and has never left me hanging even though once I contacted her on short notice thinking I had already set up for her to watch my 2 cats while leaving for a week. Lisa has vet tech training so I feel comfortable having her watch my cats in case they become ill.
They never have but cats don't always let it be known they are sick, they just disappear sometimes. She also gives medication to one of my cats with thyroid trouble and suggested a better dish to give it to her in when she was refusing to take it. I highly recommend her and have to my friends.

After an awful experience with another pet sitting service I starting using Lisa's services to watch my cats. She's been great. I never found evidence that medication had been ignored or forgotten and the litter box was clean. Cats looked good each time we returned. She's pleasant to correspond with. I can't vouch for the other employees of the service or the care of dogs, as she had told me she's the only one who cares for the cats, and I only have cats so my dealings have been with Lisa specifically. Price was average. Never felt anything in the home was tampered with and nothing has ever been missing.

We've had Lisa pet sit our cats throughout the years and we are very pleased! She's made it through snow storms and is always reliable. She's given our cats medication, stays to visit with them a while and give love, provides detailed daily summaries of all she's done, follows instructions left perfectly, and even does other requests such as lights, plants, garbage put out, etc.
We always see her in our yearly Lincoln Park town fair and she makes home made healthy dog biscuits to sell and other treats, has a large happy tail following it seems and is very personable. I would definitely recommend Nature's Nanny Pet Services.

I'll never forget I hired them to walk my lab mix while I was away. I made it clear my mother in law would let him out in the yard in the morning but she was too old to walk him at night so they were being hired to walk him. He must be walked! I find out later that an older lady was sent from this company and she just let the dog out in the back yard while bullshitting w my mother in law! Awful
