For many years I supported PetValu as they carried items that I bought frequently and contributed to their business. Fair exchange. However, now profit over customer satisfaction and loyalty has taken over. Many times I ask for a certain freeze dried dog dinner Pattie's in the large size- more economical for me and still profitable for the store. But it seems that there is a central list of products that PetValu's warehouse handles and stores order from.

So this year, 2022, the large bags of dog dinner patties became hard to find and asking the store owners what happened, they say they were shorted on the order. So I email the dog dinner patties and ask about this shorting on products and of ot is expected to be a production issue or quality issue and o am told it is a company ordering issue associated with PetValu.

Today I finally get it. PetValu no longer carries the larger size of this product but they do carry the medium size. The larger size is $70 and the medium is $40 so the individual stores/company makes more money off of the medium size and the customer loses the money that they would saved buying the large size. Doesn't seem too customer-friendly to me any longer.

Costumer service in headoffice is terrible and snarky. Which is a shame because my local pet valu is a joy.

There seems to be a misleading and/ or execution of the Pet Valu lotalty program from their corporate team. I have been on 11 bags (12th is free) for 2 years now and have often argued with the store clerks. I have never bought a small bag of cat food however that's what they say I buy (knowing what i buy and credit card bills say different). I had started buying large bags (5) and found that too big, and decided to start buying the medium bags which is where the issue has risen.

We have been buying a bag of medium cat food every month for 2 years (24) however have have always been at 11 bags in their loyalty system - as they say that we have always bought small bags, which again is not the case. The Collingwood location had ended up scanning a medium bag for us after arguing our recollection of buying cat food for 2 years and have realized that it does indeed show up as a small bag in their systems loyalty program.

This being said every time we have shown up we are always at 11 bags and have been promised that they will look into it and will be compensated for what is fair. This has yet to happen after 3 more bags of food. Its not about the $30 bag of food as it is them misleading the consumers and not compensating their advertised loyalty program. I can only imagine how many medium bag customers are out there that are not being compensated for their commitment to a self labelled pet food from a corporation for the program and promise of a free bag every 11 purchased.

This has obviously either never been found out on a corporate marketing level or it has been disregarded to save thousands of bags of food. I find this very misleading and frustrating from a customers standpoint, and again its not about the $30. Once I read other reviews - I found that others have indeed had the same issue. This misguidance of a loyalty program should be investigated, corrected and redistributed to their clients which is their corporate duty for misleading and cheating their loyal customers.

Just recently tried to call the Pet valu in Brantford on King George Road and was met with horrible customer service. When inquiring about in-store shopping all was well. When the person on the other end of the phone asked what I would like for curb-side pick up, I proceeded to attempt to inform them of my order to which I was met with "can you call back when you know what you want, I have other people on the other line".

I did advise that I was trying to provide my order and stated I was upset as this was terrible customer service to which again it was stated that there were other calls waiting. I usually shop at this store as it is by my house and due to the pandemic to not wish to venture far, however after this experience I will no longer visit this store.

My Wife and I have been dealing with your store in Stouffville since You opened it. We found the service very efficient and friendly. As time went on We stopped having a dog or cat for a period of time. Recently We acquired a shelter dog and started buying His food from Your store in Stouffville. Yesterday September the 30th My Wife and I stopped buy Your store and talked to the Lady running the store to purchase a choke collier for our dog, We were told that they had nothing in his size so We purchased a muzzle taking this device home and trying to get Our dog to accept it was another thing to no avail.

Today October the 1st I took tho muzzle back to the store and told the lady that Our dog would not accept it, She then told Me that they would not take it back because of the scuff marks on it. I feel that the amount of marks were unnoticeable. I hope this problem can be settled without any problems. My name is Paul Houston

I had the pleasure of speaking with Steve and Lindsay at the London, Ontario location on Springbank Drive. We went in to purchase food for our bearded dragon, who we have been having trouble with in regards to his eating habits. Our 2 years of research on beardies was dwarfed in 10 minutes of conversation with Steve, who was incredibly knowledgeable about safe practices of feeding and habitat maintenance.

The information we recieved from this short visit was extremely helpful. While Steve was providing assistance, Lindsay was also treating our dog to much appreciated petting and love. She was also able to provide us a great chew treat for our dog that didnt bother my pregnant wife's sensitivity to smell. The customer service at this location is better than we have ever had at any store, and these employees should be commended.

I lived in North York for 10 years with my dog and the Pet Valu I used was great, not a bad thing to say. Sadly I moved to Port Credit and started using Pet Valu in Mississauga. I told them of the 6 bags of food I had accumulated in Toronto. Both stores, Toronto and Mississauga both said they were transferable store to store. When it came time for my free bag they said there was nothing in my file account about it.

They phoned the Toronto store to confirm and then said that because I was taking smaller bags there and now I taking large bags I had to start over. they wouldn't even offer me a deal to keep a customer. Off to the next Pet Valu on Lakeshore in Port Credit. I set up an appt. for Monday Dec 16 at 1030 am to have my dogs nails clipped. when I get there the groomer is no where to be found, yet she had a 10am wash and dry.

No apology or anything. so now I have decided decided to leave Pet Valu and taking along at least 5 other people to change from Pet Valu to Pet Smart. they are much closer and offer bath tubs to do your own wash and dry. It's to bad that one of the questions on Pet Valus job application is are you a comlete dummy? If you answer that "YES" you will fit right in

I had the misfortune to find your POOPBAGS in my local Pet Supermarket. I bought them and found that - while they may be "pretty" to look at, that pattern allows not only the ODOR to escape, but moist "poop" LEAKS through onto my hand! The ONLY solution I have found is to DOUBLE UP the bags, with the "pretty" sides facing AWAY from each other. Of course the 120 bags ONLY last for 60 uses! Quite a bargain (?) I will buy NO MORE!

Every time I step foot in the store I'm greeted with exceptional customer service. I have never had a bad experience when dealing with this location. They take their time you help you and make sure you are fully taken care of. 5 stars!
