Woodland Farm's Pet Lodge

We have been taking our big dogs to North Main for 15 years. This is a real kennel with professional handlers. I had never seen one before I came to North Main. It's not just a big room in an empty building like some others. North Main interacts with their dog clients continuously. North Main is a family biz that's operated for 40 years.

The owners train and show their own dogs. When our dog boards there we know his individual large dog kennel has an indoor and out door space so he doesn't have to poop where he sleeps. The indoor spaces are air conditioned in summer and the floors are heated in the winter. If you have never seen a real dog kennel it's worth a look. Competitive prices too.

When I look at the North Main pictures and videos, my dog has a big smile and is playing, wrestling and running with other dogs of his size. And there is always a human there interacting and enjoying them. I hear them laughing and talking to the dogs. At other commercial or franchise joints on the webcam the dogs are all just standing around in in a room very crowded with dogs. A bored young person is usually wandering around listlessly. It's not healthy or fun for my dog. The dogs poop in the same room they are standing in. Yuck.

3rd time using this wonderful facility. Staff is great and my cat came home in good spirits.

The first day my dog was happy to meet new friends. After I tried taking my dog here a 3rd time. He didn't want to go in. Bad sign.

The staff here are extremely friendly and caring. I have a very large unfriendly cat. But the staff had no problem boarding for 3 days. No problem with the reservation, no problem with the drop off or pick up. I have not ever left a dog here, so I could not comment on that.

Not very friendly. Seemed to be species prejudice. I'd recommend camp bow wow or check out the awesome app Rover! Much better more personal options available now a days vs. an old out dated style pet facility with rude ownership.

This doggie day care is the BEST! Colleen, Chris, & the staff genuinely love animals and I know my fur baby is in good hands. My pup is always greeted with excitement as he prances off to spend the day at doggie daycare. This has been great for him to socialize and learn to be a apart from me. Highly recommend North Main Pet Lodge if you're looking for a safe & friendly space for your fur baby.

I have been taking my dog Jasper to North Main Pet Lodge for 6 months and I'm extremely pleased with the quality of their services. Chris and Colleen have a lot of experience working with pets and it is evident by the care and attention they give each of their customers. I especially like that there are supervised play times to ensure everyone plays safely. I trust the care of my pet for both daycare and overnight boarding with North Main Pet Lodge!

This is a great place for daycare! I have been bringing my 1 year old pup Luna to North Main Pet Lodge since she was 6 months old for daycare. Luna is a quarantine puppy and I wanted to make sure that she was properly socialized during this critical time. North Main Pet Lodge has been a great place for her to grow, makes friends and get out that puppy energy. Colleen and Chris are great! I know that I am leaving my pup in great hands. I love seeing pictures of Luna having fun on their Facebook page.

I use the pet lodge for daycare and boarding when I go out of town. Chris and Colleen are always kind and attentive to my dog and I love that they share stories about her day, Its always fun seeing the photos they share too. I know my dog loves hanging out with them, when we pull in the parking lot she jumps up, her tail starts wagging and she can't bolt in their door fast enough.

I appreciate the love and care they provide for my sweet girl while I am at work or on a get-a-way. I would recommend the Pet Lodge to anyone looking for a great place for your dog to get in some playtime or for boarding. Thank you Chris and Colleen for providing such a wonderful service.

We love North Main Pet Lodge and have used it for our cat for the last 8 years. The cat facilities are large and the enrichment provided by staff keeps our cat happy. We know he is safe and well looked after which gives us peace of mind. This is all besides the fact that the owners and staff are responsive, friendly and caring :

We found this place after trying 2 other local options. Our cat Connie was very happy after the 2 weeks she spent here this summer and knowing cats this is the best review you can get. So happy for finding this place. Thanks for the wonderful care.

Our 9 year old German Shepherd was recently diagnosed with intestinal cancer and we were afraid to board her. We left her at North Main Pet Lodge for 5 nights and she did fantastic! Chris and Colleen make you feel so at ease! We love this place and so does our dog!

Our pets LOVE the pet lodge! They care for our dogs and our diabetic cat that requires insulin injections twice a day. They go above and beyond to provide the best care! I highly recommend the Pet Lodge!

I absolutely love this place! I cannot rave enough about it. My little pup friend has been going since we adopted almost a year ago. I love the care and attention he gets as well as the feedback about his behavior with other dogs. They've helped me be a better friend and know how to navigate his socialization. They love their customers, and truly take care of each pup as their own. Highly recommend! You will love them too.

Thanks North Main pet lodge! My dog stayed here over the Christmas break and received a gift too haha. They are always very attentive and caring to the dogs. Prices are reasonable.

I tried out the day care option for my pup Peaches prior to me scheduling boarding for her over the Christmas holiday. I'm always reluctant to leave her alone but the front staff was so warm and inviting. When I came to pick her up one of the staff members came out and gave me a full blown report of everything she had done for the day (walks, group play, etc.). Needless to say, I feel very comfortable leaving her in their care and I'll be waiting to review them on their boarding!

We have been kenneling our dogs here for quite a few years. They have always been happy and healthy when we've picked them up. Owners are very nice and personable. They even managed to make my horribly unfriendly toy poodle like them. She hates everyone! They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them. Of note, when one of our dogs passed away from lymphoma in March, they were nice enough to send a condonence card.

We have been using North Main Pet Lodge for many years now. They offer good care, reasonable rates, add-on options (walks, play groups, etc) and have a wonderful staff. The staff is attentive, kind and loving towards our dogs. Always give us peace of mind to know that our pets are being kept healthy and safe when we are away from them.

Veterinarian recommended! + Wonderful staff + Excellent care + Reasonable rates + Flexible (as a regular I have never had a problem even with last minute reservations they are always accommodating) + Our veterinarian highly recommends them as they are the only boarder to ever legit contact them if an animal seemed ill. Most places not so much. + Choice of their food or your own + No charge for special diet food prep + Add-on options for walks, socialization and grooming (pick 'em up smelling and looking great!) + Animals must be current on their vaccinations--lots of places do not adhere to this practice even of they say they do + Animals must be social and non-aggressive to participate in group animal activities like walks and play I appreciate the safe guards they have in place to keep my pets healthy and safe.

My pets are here 6-10 times a year and they are always happy and healthy and my pets are a good judge of character--they are always happy to return here which says it all. Two paws up!

Stay away. This place is fucking greedy. Price hikes over the past 2 years. I needed a place to board my dog during Labor Day. They state that they have no one trained to man the front desks during that time period and I'd have to wait until the owners were back from holiday on Sept 6 to pick up my dog. I'd rather make the 30 minute drive to Oakland to get my pet boarded at Wag Hotel than this run down piece of shit.

Really pleased with North Main Pet Lodge, especially the good care and personal attention they gave our dog during his stay. This is a family owned operation, and they really know what they are doing. Will definitely be back -- this is now our preferred dog sitter! I especially like the upgrade options they offer for overnight stays, including 1 on 1 time with the dog, group play, various walks, and evening treats.

We signed up for a couple of those extras, and they noticed which ones were effective for our dog and which ones weren't as effective. They proactively adjusted the play time so that our dog could do what he likes best (which also saved us some money). We also know exactly what to sign up for next time. The kennels are a very good size (4 ft wide by 15 ft deep indoor/outdoor area separate with a wall and doggy door).

I left my 4-year old Labrador at North Main Pet Lodge for 8 days and included 3 - I gallon bags of cooked food and 2 container of cottage cheese to supplement the 4 cups of kibble they supplied. Upon my return I found that he had lost 2-3 pounds and was given back some of the cooked food and cottage cheese I supplied. I could see and feel the bones on his rib cage.

They said that it was a result of him being "active" at their kennel. Last summer I boarded him at Farrington Kennels for the same amount of time with no such problem. I could not board him there because he is an indoor dog and their facilities are not heated during the day. No one call to see if they should increase the amount of kibble. When questioned, they expressed no concern or interest in my dog's loss of weight.

They only pointed to their 24 years of being in business. I find it hard to understand how the owners of a company with that many years of experience and "caring" for animals, could not see that my dog needed more food. Apparently they have decided to rest on their laurels and have forgotten how to treat our companions that we entrust to them. I went to Costco yesterday and read the directions for the kibble that they supplied.

The 4 cups was enough for a 100 pound dog. Mine was only 65. This again did not include the 5 pounds of cooked chicken and the brown rice that I left with them. He should have gained weight not lost some.

Absolutely pleased with the North Main Pet Lodge! I recently went on an international trip and chose this pet lodge to board Luci, my 6 month old puppy, here for three weeks while I was gone. During my trip I was in and out of wi-fi. I had my boyfriend check in on Luci a few times and I couldn't have asked for anything better than what I received!

I got pictures and videos of Luci playing and walking and relaxing, both from my boyfriend as well as from the North Main Pet Lodge. She looked so happy to be there and make new friends! The pet lodge even kept in touch with my boyfriend via email letting him know her food was running low so they stopped at a pet store and got her some food. They also left just enough food for me to have for her the night I got back from my trip.

In addition, they offered to have a seasonal photo shoot for the dogs, and had a little thanksgiving set up. I was surprised they got Luci to sit still for the cute photos! When I picked her up she almost seemed like she didn't want to leave! Luci also was a changed puppy, more calm and confident than she was when I dropped her off tree weeks prior.

She absolutely LOVED Ben and I could see that they really enjoyed having her there. They gave Luci a bath and trimmed her nails and even washed her bed so she was all ready for me to pick her up! They did an absolutely fantastic job with Luci and having her in their pet lodge, I couldn't be more pleased. My total cost ended up being a little pricy because of how long she was there for, amount of walks I had them take her on, and they had a holiday fee (I got back thanksgiving night but they weren't open until the following Sunday) but I can tell you it was worth every cent. Definitely recommend. You can tell they love what they do here - so thankful!

This is Penny's, my german shepherd, home away from home, or I should really say "spa" away from home as she's so pampered and loved while she's there. She loves the frozen yogurt stuffed kongs and lots of individual attention! Danielle, Cheri, Austin, Sean, Melissa, Gina and Ben all do amazing work taking care of her when I'm not able to take her with me on travel.

I love that when we walk though the door of North Main Pet Lodge my puppy is already tail-wagging happy to see the folks there, and that they know her by name without looking her up on a computer. I have total peace of mind while I'm away knowing she's in great hands, and she always returns home happy!

Yesterday I had an emergency and had to book my cat, Torte, last minute and they were amazing. Ben led Torte and I to the second story of the kennels where the cats are. The lower has the dogs, but you can't hear the dogs or the traffic in the cat kennels. It's completely soundproof. Each cat has a large enclosure, no crates to be seen, there is some low music playing, it's warm, does not smell, each cat has a window, and several shelves to climb on in their enclosure.

They set up a new litterbox, a covered bed that I put Torte's snuggle blanket in, and If you forget bowls or food they have extra. At check out Katie gave me an update on how she did, how much she ate, drank, and box use. They were very professional, polite, reassuring since it was my first time boarding a pet, and Torte is happy and safe. Would use them again in a flat second.

Don't let the urban surroundings scare you off, we have been going for 13 years and highly recommend them. They are a family-owned business, and Chris is proudly carrying on the second generation of pet care. My dog helped choose them for me--she came back sad, cowed and dirty from other kennels, but is always happy to arrive at North Main, and comes back happy (and a little tired).
