As you drive through the gated entrance and pull onto the wooded grounds, the quiet natural beauty that surrounds you is most inviting. Besides the natural beauty of the land, it is also somewhat of a crossroads of history. A rock enclosed, spring-fed cistern near the kennel is believed to have been used by Cherokee Chief Black Fox and his tribe.
There are acres of nature trails along which you will see lovely and refreshing Black Fox Creek, unique rock formations, and a tranquil pond, a sanctuary to both feather and fin.

Services
Our goal is to keep your dog happy and comfortable. All of our boarding suites are indoor/outdoor and climate-controlled. Each suite has glass block windows to allow for natural lighting. They each offer hand-painted nature scenes. We supply, at no additional charge, raised Kuranda-style hammock bedding for your pets' ultimate comfort. Please note: We are only able to accomodate cats that are familiar and comfortable with the presence of dogs.

I am giving this one star basically because the place is nice inside and out. However, I did not have a pleasant experience nor did my relatives. This resort is not really used as a business, but more of "I'll just board animals whenever I'm free" there is no consistency with pickup and drop off times or dates available. We asked about Saturday drop off and we're told to just "call tomorrow to check and see because she might be able to take them then" so we called the next day and she acted appalled that we would even ask such a thing and said she would never do that.
Being someone who owns your own business, of course one of the perks is to choose when you are "open" for business. But being rude to prospective customers and the inconsistency with hours of operation really disappointed me, especially when we heard such great things.

I travel a lot and always know that my two dogs are in the safest, most like home place possible when they are at Black Fox Pet Resort. The owner and staff treat my dogs just like they would their own dogs and I have the utmost confidence that they will care for and make decisions for the dogs just like I would. It is located in a "park-like" setting and is immaculate. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

Very rarely can you find someone that you can pay to genuinely care for your pet. I have absolutely no doubt that these people give the utmost care to the animals that are boarded there. The grounds are exceptionally beautiful. Professor played with and socialize have their own areas that are both inside and out. The entire Resort is gated for peace of mind. He would be extremely hard pressed to find a place any better. Nancy I believe the owner and the other girls are quite delightful.
