Canine Country Club & Cattery

I chose this facility to leave our baby Jerry during our trip to FL. I made clear that he needs lots of love and attention. He is a pit, he is not aggressive and I wanted to make sure he would not be treated unfairly due to his breed. The owner assured me that he would be taken care of. The day before our return, I called to make sure they remembered that I wanted Jerry to be bathed and nails trimmed before we picked him up the next day.

I was informed that Jerry had growled at one of the workers when they were putting food in his cage, so they weren't able to love on him and they didn't feel comfortable bathing him. They also told me that two workers had been bitten that week by OTHER dogs, so they were scared of Jerry. When I arrived to pick him up, the worker wouldn't even bring Jerry to me, she made me go back in the kennel area to get him myself.

I found Jerry in a small kennel along side many other dogs all barking like crazy. Jerry's bed was disgusting, I threw it away, and his paws were stained yellow. He was dirty and stress-shedding like crazy. It was clear no one had been in that kennel since they put him in. I believe all they did was put food in there. They said they had indoor/outdoor spaces for the dogs, but what I saw was a small, crate size kennel.

I am livid at the conditions my precious boy lived in while we were away and not only do I not recommend this place, I plan to report them to the humane society. If you can't take care of ALL breeds, you shouldn't be in the business off dog boarding. We will never board Jerry again after this experience.

I always bring my baby here! She gets lots of love and has a big run that is always kept clean so she can spend time outside. I worry at other shelters that she won't get enough attention and will be traumatized after being left alone for her boarding but she always comes out of CCC bouncy and friendly, like she hasn't missed a beat since we dropped her off! I will always bring my animals here for boarding, the staff is wonderful and friendly and they always take care of my baby girl!

We have been taking our Dogs to Canine since our first dog was a puppy and we are so happy that we found this place when we did. Not only is the staff wonderful, informative and caring, but our dogs absolutely love it there. Pricing is phenomenal and compared to the other places in town I know I have saved thousands by taking my dogs here over the past 6 years. Canine is our one stop shop for all of our dogs needs, from day care, baths, grooming and overnight stays and we live in downtown Chattanooga so it's not right down the street from us, but we've loved this place from the start and will continue to take our dogs here in the future.

Excellent kennel for my dog when I go on vacation. The place has full runs and a dog park that the dogs play in. I used to take him to the vet that does boarding but he was spending most of his time in a cage. He's much happier here and they also charge less.

Best place to bring your dog when you need to. Very affordable - we can pay for overnight boarding, daily doggy daycare, and a bath and nail trimming all for less than anywhere else charges for boarding alone. Highly recommend these guys!

We boarded 4 dogs there to attend a funeral out of state last year and when got back one of our dogs had a face full of lacerations and no one could answer the question "how did it happen". We didn't get a call about her being injured either. This place is not a place to take and leave your pets.

This is a business that cares about your pet! It is an older facility, but is well maintained. They seem to have everything to make your pet comfy and to keep them safe. We recently boarded our two dogs in the same kennel with run for almost two weeks. The staff was attentive to any needs they had. This isn't a frou-frou pet spa, with online cameras and televisions in luxury spaces. But it is great place to house your fur babies while you're away.

After reading the positive reviews on here my wife and I were both excited to have our 5 year old rescue dog stay with Canine Country Club (who has separation anxiety from how he was treated before we got him). Upon dropping him off for an overnight we left a large bed that he likes to sleep on, a blanket that he's used to, food, and an anxiety med since he has a tendency to freak out when left in strange places (doctor ordered).

When we picked him up the next day, the very shady looking and uncomfortable older man who was at the front desk went to go get him. When we returned our dog was not in his harness we left him with but rather a choke collar that was VERY tightly yanked around his neck. Also, we asked if he gave him the anxiety med since we specifically asked that he be given it when they leave for the night.to which his only reply was "No, we didn't need to give him it because he looked calm when we left him for the night".

On top of all that, when we checked out and were loading the car we asked for his bed back and he looked confused. He went to the back room of the store and said he "found it" indicating he never even put it in there for our dog to use on his overnight (which helps him calm down having something that reminds him of home). I will NEVER use this "country club" again for our dog needs.

If you are anything like us than you worry that your dog is treated for when you're out of town or gone, and that is exactly the kind of care we expected from this place. Furthermore, if you read closely for the clues above on the "excellent rating" above that was given, you'll see the tell-tale signs that it was an owner or employee directed review, geared towards getting business. Hope this helps future Chattanoogans steer clear of this canine hell hole.
