Animal Health Services is proud to serve the Columbus, MS area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Walter Mullen, who is a licensed, experienced Columbus veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
As Animal Health Services is a small animal facility, we excel in caring for dogs and cats. Unfortunately, we do not care for large animals or farm animals. Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.

My family has been taking our pets there since 2006. The staff is always warm and friendly and very understanding. Dr. Mullins has always explained everything to us and given options when caring for a sick pet. He will not recommend treatment, or type of treatment, if he feels we would be wasting our money without much to gain. My family definitely recommends him to anyone needing a veterinarian.

We have been patients at Animal Health Services for 13 yrs. All Doctors and vet techs are very professional and nice. Dr. Mullen now has a great Vet with him helping Chris he was a great Vet tech and now a Doctor. He remembered my dog from where we adopted her from. Dr. Mullen and staff are wonderful caring clinic and I can't forget Thomas the clinic cat who loves everyone. When stop in say Hello to Thomas.

I've had my dog 3 years and due to being in the military my dog has gone to 4 different vets. This one is by far the absolute best and most reasonably priced one. My dog was attacked on a Sunday. I called them Monday morning and they quickly got me an appointment to check my guy out. They sedated him, pulled his tooth and treated his wounds. They kept me updated until i was able to pick him up again.
They answered all the questions i had afterwards about his behavior. I am literally in awe of this team. If i could i would go there to be seen. I'm appreciative of them for taking care of my baby.

Dr. Mullen and his staff are absolutely wonderful! They always take such great care of my Ellie girl! They treat her as if she was their own! They are always very welcoming and reliable! They make sure that Ellie is always up to date with her shots and medicine and schedule my appointments in advance around my busy college schedule!
