Legacy, an organization promoting humane dog training, was founded in 1975 by Terry and Bill Ryan. Through Legacy, Terry has kept a busy teaching schedule for more than four decades. For three decades Legacy's staff has provided programs designed to nurture mutual understanding and good relationships between dogs and their people. Our motto is, "Catch Them in the Act of Doing Something Good." Legacy offers 3 chicken workshops taught by Terry Ryan for both the beginning and advanced chicken trainer: Poultry in Motion, Beginner Chicken Camp, and Advanced Chicken Camps.

Terry has been training and instructing since 1968. She did undergraduate studies in psychology at Washington State University. Terry and Bill Ryan own and work full time for Legacy Canine Behavior & Training, Inc., a company with international reach that specializes in training methods that use positive reinforcement.

The Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program combines the convenience of online learning with the power of hands-on teaching, and is administered and organized by the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior. Terry Ryan teaches the Regional Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional course in Sequim, WA.
We have presented specialty workshops and seminars for training clubs, zookeepers, camelid breeders, behavior analysis groups and TAGteach enthusiasts. We've conducted events for working dog agencies, in-service meetings for school teachers and corporate team building workshops. We've even hosted a family reunion chicken training vacation!.
