With many pets sitting in shelters across the nation, our mission is to stop the overpopulation of animals without homes through a spay and neuter initiative. Through spay and neuter we can stop accidental pregnancies as well as helping your pet live a longer and healthier life. The KNH Spay and Neuter Clinic is not a full-service veterinary clinic.

We do not offer other services beyond the spay/neutering of dogs and cats. If you need other services or have another animal type please contact local veterinary clinics in your area.

Stocks and mutual funds that have increased in value and been held for more than a year are one of the most popular assets to use when making a donation to the Humane Association of Warren County. You will receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair-market-value of the stock at the time of transfer of the gift.
1. Have you looked into resources to help keep your beloved pet or are you interested in adopting the stray you found in your home? 2. Have you considered keeping your pet, or fostering the stray you found, while trying to rehome it on your own? 3. Have you contacted organizations that are foster-based, like rescues, or that house pets and strays in a home environment instead of a kennel? You can surrender a dog to the Humane Association of Warren County, anytime, Monday-Saturday from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Fostering is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. We couldn't save as many lives as we do without the dedication of our foster parents. When you think of fostering, what are you interested in taking home? Will you want a nursing mom, orphans that are not old enough for the adoption floor, a pet who may have special medical needs, a seasoned senior, or one that just needs to feel loved?

I am very appreciative for all of the staff and all that they do! So much caring behind the scenes! Prayers for all the animals and staff!

Visited earlier this week to look at the dogs and the kennels looked very clean! Staff was helpful, Delanie helped me look around for what I was looking for and explained certain characteristics of each dog thoroughly. Sadly at this time they didn't have what I was looking for but I'll definitely be back!

These people really care about the animals. Also, they have a policy of waiting to adopt which I really like because it keeps you from making impulse decisions.

I have adopted pets and accompanied others to adopt pets here for 15 years. I visit even when I'm not personally looking for a pet. I cannot recall any time where staff behaved poorly, as alleged by some of these nearly-comical negative reviewers. You have to live in a terrible home (or be too clueless to lie about having a good home for pets) to have your adoption application rejected.

Very friendly staff. The animals seem healthy and well cared for. The cat area is very clean. I never once smelled any litter odors.

If I could post no stars I would. I have had two experiences with this place and they are a joke. Once I wanted to get two cats to live in my heated and cooled barn completely enclosed barn abs they would not let us have them Secondly my husband took a cat there that showed up on our property that we itnially thought was our lost cat. We took him to our vet abs sadly he wasn't ours. He is declawed tho so obviously someone's pet and they turned him away. Told him to let him back outside. Wow

I had a good adoption experience. But they included in the adoption contract that the first vet visit is required within the first 14 days and would be free. My dog got a UTI after 3 days so I called to get the vet information and they said they would no longer honor that part of the contract. I don't understand how they are not contractually obligated to.

After I had an amazing experience with this shelter, I was shocked to read some of the reviews. Maybe some are true, but I personally I had a really great experience with this shelter. Everyone was super nice to my mom and I, we were greeted by adorable cats at the front door and the shelter was nice and clean. They let us explore the shelter on our own which was nice, and I found a really sweet cat I fell in love with. Adopting him was incredibly easy, they had no problems at all with my application. All of the animals were adorable and looked like they were being adopted fast. 5 other adoptions were happening when I got my cat. Overall really great, loved it it here!

We found our furever fur baby here. He came with zero promises of training, but he's the envy of the neighborhood. We spent a few weeks training him this summer. Like many shelter dogs, I'm his security blanket, but he will stay as he watches me disappear to a campground potty or around a trail bend. He's awesome! It's truly shameful that one person is claiming (many times) that the shelter steals dogs.so many times that it alters the ratings. First, a dog must somehow escape.

It's the owner's fault. Second, if the owner cannot find the time to personally visit the many local shelters or relies on law enforcement (which has more important matters at hand), then maybe that pet deserves a better home. I know I'm being harsh. Sorry, but if my fur baby disappeared, I would not stop looking. It's that simple because a pet isn't something you "get" for your kids. A pet is a part of your family. The bond lasts forever.

Best adoption experience ever! We rescued a HW+ doggie (Queenie) and they took great care of her, healed her before we took her home. She is the greatest joy. We visited her throughout her treatment and everyone was so kind to us. The facilities were very clean and well taken care of. I will adopt all of our future family members from this shelter. Thank you for giving Queenie a chance so we could treat her like the queen she really is -Ha! So happy they didn't give up on her.
