We believe that, when you're away it's nice to have the peace of mind knowing your pets can stay in the safety and comfort of your home and maintain their normal routine. So we have designed a range of services to meet the varied needs of dogs, cats, other pets - and you. We work with sitters who have practical experience in the pet care field and view their time with Athens Pet Sitter as part of their career path.
We feel that the best place for your pet is in his own home on his regular routine. We come to you! You don't have to transport your pet during narrow drop off and pick up times, no stress on your pet dealing with strange smells and sounds and happy tails wagging upon your return. When you sign up for Athens Pet Sitter services, a member of our management team will come to your home to meet you & your pets, to confirm that all required information is included in the instructions and to see the routine.
In order for Athens Pet Sitter to provide our clients with reliable, 365 day a year service it is important that we have a key at your home for our sitters to use. This system insure that in almost any circumstance or unforseen event, we can have a sitter at your home for your pets with access to care for them on-site.

APS came recommended by a lot of people on the local FB page. I'm so glad to have contacted them and made arrangements for our farm sitting thru them. They did everything we needed done, sent me pics or a message after each visit and kept me updated on anything I needed to know. Additionally, when the unforeseeable happened (broken waterers) on exceptionally hot days, they found ways to be resourceful and repurpose bowls for waterers without complaint or even asking what to do. It made our vacation easier to enjoy knowing all the animals were taken care of. Special thanks to Emilie for handling things so well!

Athens Pet Sitter is the very best inhome animal caretakers. Melinda Daniel and their fantastic group of employees, with detail and love, take note of your pets needs and provide a home environment close to normal. They handle special requests with ease and provide little extras that are so nice to come home to. They have cared for our ornery three legged cat, our shy sweet reserved dog and as a last minute request to feed/water a science project, two fire bellied toads.
By the reaction of our furbabies upon our return, they have experienced the love, attention and level of care they are accustomed to when we are home. Athens Pet Sitter makes it easy for you to leave your pets at home with confidence they are well cared for and loved.

I trust this company with all of my fur babies. I had never used a pet sitting service, only family, until last year and it has made going away easier not only because I know they'll get fed and cared for but I know they get loved on.and I'll get photos along with messages to update me on how the visit went (for every visit!). They have even helped me out when they were fully booked! And there prices are so great. I am so thankful this local business exists in my community. (FYI they don't just care for dogs and cats!)

I'm very happy with the pet sitting services with Athens Pet Sitter. I've got a very old dog and a brand new puppy, and Athens Pet Sitter has been super helpful with mid-day walks for both of my pets, who have very different needs. Their online portal makes communicating and payment super easy. Any time I have a change in the routine for my pets, it's easy to update their profile! I highly recommend Athens Pet Sitters. I was out of state for 10 days including over the 4th of July holiday. Athens Pet Sitter did an AMAZING job taking care of my cat, Baby. Baby is 17, hard to manage, and suffering from several illnesses. Athens Pet was able to brush her and pill her. I received an update daily with pictures. When I returned home it was to a happy, relaxed and well cared for cat. I will be using Athens Pet Sitter again and again!

We have been using Athens Pet Sitter for over a year now and they are seriously the best. I never have to worry about being gone from our dog and cat for so long because their team is always available. They update you every time they are with your pets with a picture and a description of the day. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of our pets! You all rock!
