Winding Creek Kennels

I've been keeping my dog at WCK for many years and they do a wonderful job. Indi is always happy when she arrives at WCK and that means a lot to me. WCK has a beautiful facility on a farm and is a perfect setting for dogs to get some exercise and R & R -especially for dogs like mine a Border Collie. My dog is a older now and her care is a bit complicated. The staff is on the ball managing her care and dealing with her thunder anxiety. I'm so happy that our community has such a stellar facility.

Finding Winding Creek Kennels was such a huge stress reliever! For the last few years, my 10 year old dog was always watched by close friends whenever going out of town because he never did well in a kennel. We recently moved and did not have anyone close by that could stay with him, so we decided to give Winding Creek Kennels a try. Every interaction I had with their staff, from setting up the appointment to picking him up after his stay was very pleasant.

Everyone there is incredibly professional and I knew he was in good hands while we were gone. Will definitely continue to use them for whenever we need a place to take care of our animals.

My husband and I LOVE this beautiful extremely well kept kennel. Our 2 Alaskan malamutes love coming here and are so happy to see the staff. We have had dogs for over 35 years and this is the very best kennel we have ever used! The folks that work here are friendly and very caring with every cat and dog that comes here. They will go out of their way to make sure every animal is safe and happy. I give them 10 's!

Love all the pup loving staff at Winding Creek Kennels! Due to work out of town, my pup had an extended 4 month stay at WCK. I was so worried and stressed about leaving him but they quickly put my mind at ease. The facility is farm like and is so clean and beautiful! And the staff are well trained, super friendly, knowledgeable and caring people who truly love your pets!

I trust them completely and my pup Heisy loves being there! They keep me updated and send me pics while he is with them and he is always happy and healthy when I return. Highly recommend to anyone needing a place for their pup to spend vacation! Thank you Winding Creek:

We boarded our foster dog for the first time, and she has several behavioral quirks and is nervous around most people. I was nervous that she would be stressed out until I got photos from Winding Creek of our smiling pup who had become friends with the staff already! Even before we arrived, the staff was helpful in assuring me they knew how to treat a fearful dog with care. At this point I'm excited for her next stay!

This was my first time boarding my 3 Boxers with them and I was quite happy! They kept in touch with me while we were gone and the dogs were happy when they came home. Based on the dogs' reactions they obviously got a lot of TLC there and that makes them so worth it to me. I will definitely be using them again.

First time using Winding Creek because we used to board our dogs at out vet's office. Really nice staff and facilities. Extras like 1:1 playtime and baths are nice also. Pricing (including add-ons) is reasonable. Received a free night since we were first time customers without asking. Communication via email was great, received reservation confirmation and verification that they received shot records from veterinarian timely.

There are 2 drop-off/pick-up time windows daily, except Sunday. Consider this when making plans. We traveled to Florida and had to make sure they we left early enough to make it back in time to pick them up in the afternoon. We don't board our dogs often because we like to take them with us, but when we do have to board them again, we will take them back to Winding Creek.

WCK is the best of the best in boarding. I love this place and so do my pups! They go above and beyond in every category imaginable!

We were a little nervous boarding our 2-year-old mutt for the first time, but this place came well-recommended. They were orderly and systematic at check-in, sent us pics after her first day, and she was in great shape when we picked her up. It's a big and busy place but they have dog-caring down to a system. Our pooch was happy to see us, slept a day, and then was completely back to normal. We'll be coming back whenever we travel without her.

Great kennel! Nice, quiet location, big space for my dogs to stretch and sleep, affordable prices, excellent care. Most of all, happy and content dogs . Happy customer since 2019.

We are consistently impressed by all the staff at Winding Creek Kennels and our dog loves to stay there. The staff knows our dog by name and makes us feel like they are thrilled to have our pooch stay with them. We boarded our 1-year-old Australian Shepherd, Apollo, at Winding Creek over the holidays. This was our first time away from him, so I was a bit worried. The staff took AMAZING care of him! They sent me photos on Christmas of him playing fetch. He looked so happy. The dog kennels looked clean and the property is beautiful. Staff were extremely friendly, professional, and obvious dog lovers. We will definitely be using Winding Creek again the next time we go out of town!

We have been boarding our dogs with Winding Creek for over 20 years (first dog for 13 years, now 2 for past 7) and can't say enough good things about them. We never worry about their care when we travel and the Klinks remember their personalities and quirks. All of our dogs are happy to board there, which is the best recommendation we can give!

We have used Winding Creek Kennels three times in the past year for our two dogs. We have always been very pleased with the service, and the pups come home happy and healthy and CLEAN (we always get them a bath the last day). It's very nice to have a place where we can take the dogs and not have to worry about them at all during a trip away. They even send pictures sometimes which is a super nice surprise!

We love this kennel. We've been going there for 8 years, even though it is a 45 minute drive from home. But nothing is more important than the care they give to our dogs, and in this they excel. Many of the their employees have been with them for years so they get to know the dogs. We leave them there confident that they are getting the best care.

One time they ran out of the special dog food I had left for one of our dogs. They called to make sure it was ok to feed her regular dog food until we returned. Their attention to detail is the best.

We will always bring my dogs here and have for decades! We live in Woodstock now and take the long drive to Winding Creek Kennels as there is no other place we trust our dog with. They have always provided the best care for our dogs, have a seasoned staff, owners live right on the property. Ed and Joan are the best! My dogs have always returned healthy and are happy when I pull up at the facility.

My dogs have never lost weight there. They have plenty of room in their runs, fresh air, not locked up in a building as other facilities are with little fresh air and no one there. The best! Oh and as for the "rude man", Ed takes his kennel seriously but is a teddy bear! He loves all the animals and they have lots of their own too!

Love this place! I live in Macon, GA but will drive up to Athens to leave my dogs at Winding Creek. Wonderful people and my dogs come back happy and healthy. I used to use Endless Love Pet Palace in Warner Robins, GA, but my new puppy didn't receive love and came home with weight lose and unhappy. The prices at Winding Creek are great, too. They made sure mu dogs went to the bathroom and if they noticed they did not go in their run, Winding Creek gave my dogs a rotation schedule to go outside to the bathroom three times a day. Excellent staff and best kennel I know.

Not a place I would ever return to, especially with many other options in the area and one which I actively suggest people not go to when they are looking for boarders. The man who checked my dogs in was very rude; so rude that if I hadn't been on the way to the airport for two weeks in Africa, I would have gone somewhere else. Returned the toys that I had brought for my dogs absolutely soaked in urine.

I am not sure how they picked the toys up off the floor without realizing it, but those toys had been peed on repeatedly. My dogs have never peed on their own toys. I don't know what happened but whoever was charged with taking care of my dogs was either negligent or apathetic. My dogs were also about 1-2 lbs lighter than when I first took them in.

One of them is only 10 lbs, so his weight drop was quite noticeable. They have stayed at dog boarders on multiple occasions and have never come home with urine-soaked toys or looking emaciated. For many pet-owners, dogs and cats are like family members; this is not a place that will treat your pets like you would.

We used Winding Creek Kennels to board our dog for many years, and are sad to have moved too far to be able to keep using them - we are struggling to find another facility that provides the same excellent care as Winding Creek. Our dog is thunder phobic, and I was always comforted to know that staff stayed on-site 24 hours a day, and paid special attention to our dog if the weather got stormy.

We used Winding Creek several times, and whenever we pulled up to the front door, our dog was always excited to go in. We miss them so much, we've considered driving several hours back there just to board our dog!

I have been taking my senior dog here for the past few years, and have had nothing but a good experience each time. They even put extra bedding in his run for him because of his age. They offer several additional options for the animals stay including long/short walks, play time, treats and baths before you pick them up. I will continue to bring my current dog and any future animals here whenever I will be out of town.

Awesome family-run boarding facility where they really care about your animals as well as caring for them. We've trusted them with our dogs for the past three years and every time I am thrilled with their loving attention to our animals. A couple of years ago when our golden retriever/boxer mix had tummy troubles during her stay they called and let us know, offered to take her to the vet, and fed her boiled chicken and rice every day instead of dog food, something they cook every day for pets with digestive issues.

The indoor/outdoor runs are clean and spacious with ceiling fans for ventilation and sheepskin bedding provided. They have lots of exercise and playtime options and you can feel good going on vacation knowing your pet is getting the best of care.
