Bulk feed and seed store. Large selection. Prices for garden seed much better than almost all prepackaged seeds in big box stores. They also have a large variety of landscape/ farm field seed. Wild bird feed in large quantities is very competitively price. Fertilizers, hardware, etc., also available. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A gem in TC.

I've spent thousands at this store, which was highly recommended by my builder. I was looking to buy some vegetation killer and was guaranteed the $25 for a pint of killer they sold would do the trick. I followed the directions on the bottle, 3 weeks later the grass in the landscaping continued to grow. I tried to return it for either a refund or store credit and was told by the woman at the counter, " our store policy doesn't allow me to take returns since you opened it." I asked why their supplier wouldn't take it back if it has false advertising and I find it hard to believe a company would lose a customer that has spent thousands for $25.
I then wrote to the owner a week ago explaining this, no response! As a result I'll be telling the 500 homeowners in my development, every landscaper and post on Facebook and Twitter. You don't treat people that way unless you want to go out of business!

These guys are incredible, I bought a new home a year ago and was having all sorts of problems with my lawn. I had true green coming out and they were actually making my lawn worse. Someone told me I should take my soil in and have it tested to make sure it was getting proper nutrients, so I took in a sample to Mcgoughs and a week later was notified it was done and to stop by so that they could run over the results with me.
Man was I surprised at the outcome, come to find out my PH was all messed up and my lawn was really deficient in nutrients. They were extremely thorough on what was wrong and what I should do. So I followed their directions and a week later my lawn looks the best it's ever looked! It went from being one of the worst lawns on my street to one of the best practically overnight! I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome and will definitely be back for all my lawn needs. I highly recommend these guys.

What a wonderful experience I've had with this store. In prepping for a brand new lawn they saved me so much time and money only by explaining my situation thoroughly. They came recommended by another satisfied customer, I had my soil tested and we learned although it may not have been suitable for healthy grown the associate explained ways to grow a beautiful lawn. Looking forward to more time spent in Mcgoughs!

First - Check their hours before you make a trip. Second - make the trip. They are extremely helpful. We purchased a house here and wanted an organic lawn. At first we did nothing, but that turned up a dreadful result and since we live in a neighborhood we figured we had to do something, so we went here. They were able to correct our messy lawn situation with organic products that I feel comfortable having all the neighborhood kids and dogs play on. Our lawn is now one of the best on the block and we never have those yucky pesticides do not touch signs.
