We tailor our services to your pets' needs in your home while you are away. TLC's services are designed to maintain your natural home environment and we will 'treat' your pets as if you have never left. With over 20 years of experience, our mission is to provide qualified, experienced, trusted and personalized pet care which offers peace-of-mind and exceptional service.
We'll be in touch shortly thereafter to talk to you about what you need. We prefer as much notice as possbile. This service is for pet owners needing services within three (3) days of your call or within two weeks for overnight and holiday pet sitting. We will confirm if we have a sitter available for your request and setup your online account.
Existing clients, schedule future services for your pets by calling our office or using our online request form. Reservations are not guaranteed until the TLC office has confirmed your scheduled services via email or phone. This ensures that we have a sitter available for pet sitting and/or to meet for a consult and to set up or make changes to your account.
Kara Jenkins was born in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she and her family raised many animals, including cats, dogs, birds, gerbils, fish, mice, and horses. One of her loves was helping her mother breed, train, and show their Golden Retrievers. While growing up, she worked at her mother's boarding and grooming kennel, where she learned about the different types of cats and dogs as well as their behaviors. She also helped with all facets of the kennel's operations including walking dogs, training, grooming, and marketing.

TLC has been amazing to work with. My wife and I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and were very nervous about who we leave them with when we go out of town, but Kara and her team are so nice, responsible and professional that we would recommend them to anyone who needs pet sitting. So glad I found TLC Pet Sitting services. I needed care for my new 3 month old kitten, and they were very professional and communicative. Specifically, Terry did an amazing job watching my kitten, and he was kind, courteous, and respectful to my needs. I would definitely recommend their professional services for your fur babies!

TLC really helped my family out of a bad situation. When my brother was unexpectedly hospitalized and unresponsive last week, there was nobody in the family able to take care of his cat. I knew he had recently used TLC to watch his cat and was very pleased with their service, so I called them to see if they could help. They were able to start services that same day, with twice a day visits. Amy was so good with shy little Bubba and managed to pull her out of her shell to get some loving every day.
After a week, we realized we were going to need a longer term solution for Bubba, so started looking for foster care. Kara and Amy helped us out again by reaching out to their networks and finding a wonderful foster home. I don't know what we would have done without them!

Fantastic service, truly wonderful folks at TLC. I was moving cross country and had to leave my pets for a couple weeks as I finished up details at the previous residence, TLC's faithful daily updates and photos were a wonderful thing as I had great anxiety about being separated from my pets. Marvelous, professional, caring and kind. Highly recommended!

I have used TLC Pet Sitting three times now when we have gone on vacation, and each time the sitters took such great care of our cat Pooh Bear. We received daily updates and pictures. Even when our flight was cancelled and we couldn't get home on time, TLC made sure our sitter made an extra visit to check in to make sure he was OK. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our cat was in good hands while we were gone. I would highly recommend TLC Pet Sitting!

We used TLC for the first time recently to take care of our diabetic cat while we were out of town. Our sitter, Angela, was so patient and went the extra mile with our cat, who was being difficult. We really appreciated the update texts from her and the detailed e-mails and pictures sent after each visit. Kara, the owner, was also wonderful and answered any questions I had when I was going through the process of arranging for our cat's care. I would highly recommend TLC to anyone needing a pet sitter!

TLC house and pet sitting service is the service I trust with my two cats. I became a customer when TLC opened. They are the only service that has gone out of their way to accommodate mine and my pets needs. TLC has gave me the peace of mind I needed when I became sick. They looked after my cat for months and took excellent care of him. TLC often talked with me on the phone and made appropriate and timely suggestions for my cat's care. They went out of their way to help me beyond cat care as well. I would not go any place else for pet care.
